  2. hmm interesting thoughts.. thanks dragonforce i'll have someone check out the exhaust.. altho it hasn't done it at all in the last 2 days except for ONE small sound!! strange..
  3. Now and then at low revs I get a very strong vibrating/rubbery grinding sound coming from the rear left side of my R33. Some say it could be related to the muffler/exhaust but I can't see what's wrong. This only happens after 5 or so minutes of driving, usually when I take off from a red light - it's not something that happens as soon as I've started the car and started to drive off. It's very random, as in it doesn't happen all the time I'm at low revs either. Anyone got a clue?
  4. hmm.. dunno if this is the right thread, but how much difference does a good pod filter make to fuel consumption?
  5. thanks for all the replies guys and girls! very helpful =)
  6. hiii welcome to skylines australia :D

  7. 100"ron"? (layman terms please). can i buy that at the normal petrol stations? i'll likely be pumping unleaded95 or premium98. my car's not for racing or performance, it's just a daily driver... still, i don't want to do anything to intentionally kill my engine =S
  8. what happens if i use the normal unleaded petrol?
  9. what's your average fuel consumption and how do you normally use your car? i was told my R33 GTS-4 would do about 11L/100km. i'll normally be using my car for short trips to the train station during weekdays (peak hour, so i can get to work in the city.. ughh...) and longer trips across melbourne over the weekend. do you think 11L/100km is a realistic average?
  10. Hi! Just bought my first skyline, a '96 R33 GTS-4 (auto, non turbo, stock) straight from Japan.. I hardly know a thing about cars so if you could throw any basic advice for looking after it or general advice/tips about the car, please feel free to post (in layman terms only!).. oh but don't worry about mods advice as my bank account won't allow for it anytime soon lol... thanks all!! =D (
