  1. I had this kind of problem with my rb20 a while back. very similar symptoms to yours. Turned out to be a faulty temp sensor reading 0 degees, in turn causing the car to run in cold start. Would surge and carry on, drop revs and only manage about 30kph. worth a look if you havnt already.
  2. i realise youve probably already made your decision, but i jus went through all this last week... roy is pretty spot on with what he was saying early on with price etc. All up it cost me a litte over 2800 with a brand new heavy duty clutch, pumps, heater hoses and wat not replaced and aircon fixed. Was originally quoted $900 for the motor (supposedly 75000kms and 3month/5000kms warranty) and around $750 for labour. any additional parts are obviously more. best part was i poped the engine last sunday and had it back the following friday!! hope this helps someone.
  3. no need to sugar coat it mid life crisis, tell us wat you really think! i dont mind the stretched look, i have 225/45 on a 9" rim, i did this to try and fit them under my guards (which they didnt!). however in saying that, now that the guards are bigger i will go for a larger tyre.
  4. i was at winton for the 1st time on sat, jus watchin though. cant wait to hav a go. any reason for the poor turn out? i jus expected to see a lot more sau guys there. oh and there was 1 guy who found something to hit!
  5. thats what im thinking. have already got the castor bushes, and thought id just do the lot all at once. sydney kid still selling these kits?
  6. ^^^this is what i am looking at doing next week as my front castor bushes are giving way. is it worth replacing the lot or jus wat is needed?
  7. Hi guys and girls, im a long time reader, 1st time poster and thought id finnally introduce myself. I bought my basically stock R32 gtst a little over 18months ago and it has basically consumed my life in one way or another ever since. Whether leaving me broke week after week or having to rely on lifts to and from work it has been a complete pain in the arse, as well as my pride and joy! While being from a relatively country town does have its benefits in that the po po dont bother you defect wise (unless you act like a gumby!), it is very difficult to find the much needed expertise that can only come from people with geniuine experiences with these cars. Which is where you guys come in! Being able to hear peoples oppinions who work through these problems day in day out and have years worth of experience sorting out the problems i am only just starting to encounter has been invaluble! So cheers guys. hopefully i'll make it down to winton tommorrow and get to say hi.
