thanks for that link. anything else with r32 specifics? engine noises to look for, particular things to feel/listen forwhen going over the car. warm/cold issues to look for.

i'm looking at one of these tomorrow and have done some looking on here, google and asked a mate regarding what to check for. cosmetically its in good nick, in and out. but what mechanical things should i look/listen for when at the car? it seems fairly standard. has a front mount, EBC, exhaust and tein/kyb susp, otherwise nothing of note. apparently the gearbox was recently reco'd and engine rebuilt a few yrs ago, with receipts to show the work. plus rear diff was shimmed(cheap way to 'fix' a worn diff?) any tips would be awesome.

thta sucks, doesnt look 50mm too low. im looking at an r33 that is nearly as low and thats from a dealer. nice car again!

i dont know about skylines speciffically, but that sounds like leaning. are the injectors thmselves flowing well and consistently

i work for one of the insurance companies that covers this market. i cant say who sorry, but please do look at the small print in any pds that u get from a company when they qte you. there are a few companies who will act illegally and get away with it as people just accept the word of the company come claim time. for reference, if its not written as an exclusion then you are covered. if you are told "yeah but its only covered if...." you are being fed BS. duty of disclosure goes both ways too. if u say whaalarm u have at quote time and they accept tha, they arent allowed to go back on their word from that point on until the next renewal is due. just some food for thought for you guys. but as has been said in other threads, do tell everything to the company. fines,crashes(even if u didnt make a claim or the 3rd party didnt use their cover), where its kept at night, mods especially. cheers.

i found out from the dealer that the car is from strathalbyn. i was told the guys name but i wont post it on a forum. if anyone was the owner of a maroon r33 gts-t that has the mods mentioned above and maybe more, or knows of it, it'd be cool to have some feedback on it. all the previous ideas have been helpful too guys. also had a aftermarket heavy duty clutch.

dyno idea sounds good. any nearby to gepps cross? after a good look and drive of the car it feels strong and tight. had a good drive of it and pretty hard too. felt quite good all round actually.

savage, does that mean if i get defects during warranty the car yard wears the cost of regency and sourcing the correct parts? oh and i have a feeling that 2" in diametre is the rule in SA for wheels.

cheers for that info. i havent heard of anything regarding the 5yr rule. my all of my cars bar my current have been older than 5yrs. i know there is something in te eastern states with roadworthy checks being done. on that topic, what tings fitted to the car are defectable. i think its the bov, exhaust db level and hopefully thats it. are front mounts legal? and 18" wheels.

it has a front bar, dont know what type, looks like sinista's just without the foglights. standard gts-t high rear wing. series 1.5 i believe. i work in insurance and yeah u cant reregister any form of writeoff legally. car yards have legal obligations to guarantee against there being money owing, writeoff rebirths, submerged and stolen vehicles. i'm in the process now of buying it, hopefully it all goes thr, as from talkingtsome mates a work it seems like a good car. if anyone does know the car ad u can see it on the trading post website at 16999, please let me know. thaks.

its 15999 11/95 build 140000kms interior is very good and exterior is great except for th mirrors have faded. has front mount, exhaust, pod(exposed of course) claimed 200rwkw 18" drives really nice and runs smooth and consistent. susp/steering seems good and tight, engine has no apparent noises when listening under the bonnet and it seems either well tuned or the stock ecu is ok still, if the power figure is true. it would have 3months warranty which i wouldnt get private and i plan on usin ever bit of it i can. i wonder if i got it dyno'd and it only made 170kw or whatever if i could ge them to mod it so it is what i bougt! lol. the ad does specify the power output after all.

hi guys and girls. i'm looking at getting a r33 gtst from aa family motors at gepps cross. its the burgundy/wine colour and has a aftermarket front bumper, front mount intercooler, stronger clutch, full exhaust, bov, pod and 18" 5 spoke wheels. does anyone know the car im talking about? and anything about its history and all that? any help/info would be hugely helpful and appreciated. thanks.
