  1. So, are you still interested in purchasing and, if so, which books did you want? All of them at the discounted price of $170 (includes postage) or everything but the brooklands book at their listed prices for a total of $165 (includes postage). Let me know how you would to proceed.
  2. You are more than welcome to pick and choose as you wish. However, keep in mind that the special discounted price mentioned above is for the purchase of ALL of them. If you remove a book then the individual book prices apply as listed next to each entry. Postage would then also need to be calculated depending on how many were chosen, etc... These are exceedingly educational books with a vast amount of technical information about all models that is very difficult to find. As Terry_GT-R34 mentioned, they're great - even at their original prices.
  3. $170 for the books, postage, and exponential increase of knowledge that will allow you to build such an incredible GT-R that it will bring you fame, fortune, and females beyond your wildest imaginings. Then the deal will be done faster than any race involving a GT-R. I'll even throw in my first-born son* *Please note a first-born son (or daughter, or other) may now, or never, be brought into existence, hence negating this particular portion of the pact. Purchasers will then be required to seek and locate any offspring elsewhere.
  4. Total calculated price for the lot is $170. However, any crazy son-of-a-bitch who wants to lash out and get them all can have them for $150 (plus postage).
  5. GTR books for sale. All in excellent used condition. Books located in Strathfield South, NSW. Pick up is available. Will post interstate. After many changes the Skyline found its sporting feet again in 1981 and 1986. The R32 Skyline GT-R name was revived in 1989 and has hardly been altered since. It has been very successful and has dominated Group A Touring Car racing worldwide. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, driver's impressions, long term report, buying second-hand, track tests. NISSAN SKYLINE GT-R: THE ULTIMATE JAPANESE SUPERCAR - Andy Butler (Retails for $39.95, will sell for $25) When it comes to high-performance Japanese cars, the Nissan Skyline GT-R is right up there at the top of the tree. Without doubt, it is the most iconic of all the recent supercars to come out of Japan. It has a heritage that covers three ultra-quick performers and goes back to 1989. Although the Skyline name has been around since the 1950s, things got serious when the GT-R designation was added, and a twin-turbo, six-cylinder engine was hooked up to a computer-controlled four-wheel-drive system. Whether the car was beating Porsches round the Nurburgring, demolishing the opposition in the Japanese Group A and Grand Touring Championships, or just making cross-country dashes, it was simply awesome. For those owners not content with nearly 300bhp delivered as standard, a thriving tuning industry has built up around the GT-R. This has led to cars with over 750bhp being used as daily drivers, and competition versions with over 1200bhp ripping up drag strips. The world of the Skyline GT-R is full of cars that are truly worthy of superlatives. This book chronicles the history of the Skyline's early versions and looks at the three main GT-R variants in detail, together with giving some helpful pointers on how to find and look after a GT-R of your own. There is also information on tuning methods to turn the car from a rapid street car into a real tarmac terrorist. Author Andy Butler has worked in most car-related fields, from mechanic and salesman in various franchises, through the aftermarket sales of parts and accessories, to journalism. As a long-term contributor to Japanese Performance magazine he has experienced many examples of the Skyline GT-R — in the UK, USA and Japan — and feels that no enthusiast's garage is complete without one. NISSAN GT-R: LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE, ENGINEERING MARVEL R32, R33, R34, R35 - Alex Gorodji (Retails for $54.99, will sell for $35) There simply isn't a car in the world that's as mythic as Nissan Skyline GT-R. It's not a end born of love like old VW Beetles enjoy. nor is it the mass popularity of a new Mustang Corvette. It's the attraction of a dream car offers performance that most enthusiasts rarely get to sample. The GT-R has reigned as king of the tuner car world since the introduction of its third generation in 1989. Its stock performance is staggering, and a huge array of aftermarket hop-up parts make it possible to create a car fully capable of thrashing Ferraris, Corvettes, 9 I I s, and any other comers. Despite its iconic status many automotive enthusiasts don't really understand the technical details that make the GT-R so special. Nissan GT-R: Legendary Performance, Engineering Marvel demystifies this fantastic car with a detailed technical examination of such marvels as its four-wheel steering system, all-wheel drive, and its awe-inspiring engine. Since its introduction, the Skyline GT-R has been the undisputed king of the tuner car world. Nissan GT-R: Legendary Performance, Engineering Marvel explains why. Along with an overview of Skylines since their debut in 1957, author Alex Gorodji gives in-depth reviews of the Japan-only third-, fourth-, and fifth-generation GT-Rs. The story ends with a thorough look at the newfor-2008 CBA-R35 — the first GT-R legally avaiable in the United States and around the world. The book pays special attention to the evolution of the GT-R's revolutionary technical aspects, including the all-wheel-steering and -drive systems, the chassis, and the legendary inline-sixcylinder twin-turbocharged engines. Whether you're a diehard GT-R fan or an enthusiast new to the story, Nissan GT-R will answer all your questions about these storied performance cars. NISSAN GT-R SUPERCAR: BORN TO RACE - Dennis Gorodji (Retails for $79.99, will sell for $55) Contains rare pictures, schematics and graphs detailing the many unique qualities of the Nissan GT-R, a car that revolutionised modern sports car dynamics. 7. Off topic (is it possible to derail your own thread?) but I'm sitting here watching the start of Bathurst and it's good to see the GT-R still sitting at the front of the grid. It may be the pace car, but it's still in front! () Hail to the king, baby!
  8. Car now comes with fries! (see below). Buy it before it becomes a 'Bathurst 1000 Twentieth Anniversary Since Last Race Special' tomorrow.
  9. Price is in the thread title - $9000 drive away. Apologies to those who may have tried to contact me in the past twenty-four hours. Mobile died and I had to scramble to get replacement. More images as requested.
  10. I'm glad you're all enjoying the show. The car is currently in Afghanistan on a covert op, but I'll see if I can arrange to post some more photos by tomorrow afternoon.
  11. Last registered 22 July 2012. It can definitely be re-registered. It is not a write-off (it's only a small dent in the roof).
  12. PURCHASE THE CAR THAT TAKES THE LAWS OF PHYSICS AND WIPES ITS SHOES ON THEM Automatically gives the owner the ability to dance 'Gangnam Style'. Once beat Air Force One in a race. This is the car that Willy used to free himself. Has previously been used by at least one member of Wiki leaks to escape the country. Vehicle History 1990: Completed two tours of Operation Desert Storm. 2004: Was used to assist in finding Nemo. 2007 - 2008: Was Optimus Prime's main mode of transport when he couldn't be bothered transforming. 2009: Was pulled off the road after a problem with it's flux capacitor had it jumping back in time at 87 miles per hour instead of 88 miles per hour. During it's time travels, it was responsible for the following: In the Third Age, it assisted Frodo in getting to Mount Doom in Mordor. In 1974 a number of its upgraded engine parts were sold and used to build the Bionic Man. In 1975 was painted in green and blue and was used to solve at least six crimes with the Scooby Gang. However, its services were withdrawn after I got sick of cleaning up dog crap, Scooby Snacks, and the mess after it had been used as a Shaggin' Wagon. In 1979 it starred in three episodes of the 'Dukes of Hazard' but it's contract wasn't renewed after accidentally out-jumping the 'General Lee' in one episode. In 1980 Wile E. Coyote used it to finally catch the Road Runner. In 1982 it was employed as a stunt vehicle on the movie set of Mad Max for chase scenes where the Interceptor was deemed 'too slow'. In 1984 it was used by The Terminator to successfully terminate Sarah Connor by running her down, unknowingly changing humanity's future forever. Rumour has it that it was this vehicle's original acceleration that was the inspiration for the hyper-space effect in both Star Wars and Star Trek. Darth Vader himself has quoted that 'the Force is strong with this one". Other celebrities had the following to say: Chuck Norris: "This car is almost tougher than me. Almost. Homer Simpson: "Runs donuts around the competition. Mmm...Donuts." Knightrider's David Hasselhoff: "Makes KITT feel more like SH*T.". Mister Spock: "Not purchasing this car would be 'illogical'.". Jeremy Clarkson has been quoted as describing this vehicle as "The most incredible car I have never heard of or driven". Driving this car is supposedly what made The Stig speechless.
