been told its best to tune without cat on or with an empty one then put a new one on afterwards.. dyno testing/tuning has alot/most to do with why they fcuk out.. constant load/pressure on dyno combined with high amount of heat.. = stuffed cat.. been proven to me a couple of times most recently with my own car.. may not happen after first dyno but after 3 mine gave up..

are they ceramic or metal inside?

which 1oo cell ones are you refferring too mate? im in need of a new cat as my last one squashed right up.. blocking the system.. un blocked it and now its running like a gem.. but have been told to tune without it in then buy a new one to put it.. but tbh ive lost faith in them.. they dont last it seems..

not entirely certain mate, car was imported by a mate whom imports personally.. he hasnt got a yard tho.. and when i got it 2 yrs ago it had 60000 on it then, i saw all the auction paperwork stating grade 4 etc., my interior is spotless. underneath is perfect. it came with everything very standard on it.. but in saying that i dont know how else to tell.. it came in very good condition.. no real wear in all the usual places.. thinking about using nulon.. seems to be decent from what im reading..

not sure mate, i got the car with this steering wheel already in it.. as far as my memory recalls its always done it.. i thought it was strange that it doesnt seem to change the actual steering at all.. my understanding is that that brand of steering wheel is a nissan owned company or brand or something along those lines..

exactly what he said.. imo save a bit extra cash and get what you pay for.. theres plenty of decent ones around but you need to pay more for them.. anything up to roughly 20k or so are gunna need work.. simple as that.. your better off paying extra for a good one.. i might be sellin mine soonish and its in excellent condition so ill be asking for a bit more and target a buyer that knows about them and appreciates a finer example..

yes i have a "personal" brand steering wheel.. nothing shows on diagnostics.. yes problem happens everytime without fail..

hey.. my hicas light comes on after driving along the highway for any more then about 5-10mins.. doesnt go off until car is turned off. but normal around town type driving it never comes on.. also when its on after driving on hughway the steering doesnt seem to change at all.. any ideas?

hey guys just about to do a motor oil change and last service i used castrol. but was looking for a change.. seen today the nulon looked decent.. anyone have any recommendations on whats worth a good go.. i own an r32 gtr pushin 300kw+ or thereabouts at wheels.. its now daily driven and also gets a decent revvin here and there oh and its done just over 80000ks.. cheers Corey
