i have an aftermarket boost guage.....and its reading less than 5psi

i have been using either CALTEX VORTEX 98 or SHELL V-POWER.... no i hadnt done an ecu reset.....should i do that? is it only jus disconnect the battery then join it back up...or do i have to leave it off for a while? also the cat that i bought was a 'XFORCE HI FLOW CAT' and i was speaking to the exhaust shop just before and he said that it was a 400square per inch or something....where as his hi flow cats were only 200 square per inch.....so his would be less restrictive..... what should the measurement be of the high flow cat......? (if any of that last bit made sense....)

ahh k....i was like RHS...hmm....i was referrin to it as looking at it from the front of the engine bay.... i think i know the wires/plug ur talking about.....its jus enxt to the fuse box......

well i kinda know what ur tlaking about..... i had a look today and there is a black plug with a black wire and a awhite wire comin out of it over near the AFM on the RHS and there is another....exactly the same plug and wire setup on the LHS near the fuse box..... the solenoid ur talkin about....its got two pipes...bout 2/3" wide...they are kinda mounted on top of each other..... eg.... I I ====I I ====I I I I ====I I ====I I I I i might take it to my mechanic friend to see what he can do bout it....i dont have a decent mechanical understanding (as u can see)....so i dont wanna chance anything.....

hey mate, where u located? i have a 3" cat back exhuast with cannon and 5" tip im wanting to sell....used for 2 days.....full stainless steel....polished and all....looks schmick! awesome note aswell.....im selling for less than half of what they retail for new.... if ur interested....let me know...either pm me or something....can organise something....if ur kinda local..or not too far from me....let me know!

ahh im jus gonna take it off and put the stock cat back on it...leave the split dump and front pipe as well as hi flow cat on it..... jus gonna make the car more showy.....it probably makes no sense...but i got enought power to beat all the commodore heros round my town...im happy with that!

i highly doubt im gonna lose much power...i have got less power now with the aftermarket system on than i did b4.....go figure! its got everyone stumped..... but anyway, its too loud for my liking.....and is causing huge fuel consumption issues...and other stuff like that....

Hi all, i seem to be a having a few issues in all aspects about my new exhaust system.... I have a 3" Split Dump/Front Pipe and 3" Hi Flow Cat with a 3" catback part and 5" cannon output...its annoying me in so many ways....but anyway, issues aside.....will my stock cat back exhuast connect fine to the aftermarket xforce cat? and this should quieten my exhuast down shouldnt it...its gotta be a better combo than stock dump/front and cat.....? or would i be better to put the whole stock exhaust system back on?

any interest? make an offer? trade for cheaper wheels plus cash.........let me know!

what colour does the cluster light up? is it same colour and all as the one in DUSH's post? or is dependant on the colour of the leds u have in ur dash?

so what should i be looking for and where abouts will i find it.....i think i need to do some DIY tomorrow......so let me know....

where is the O2 sensor? im having very similar issues......and i only have a full exhuast system.....and cant get over 5psi of boost....

the car is all stock.......except now for the exhaust..... so, i should take it to a mechanic to see if there is a fault in vac pressure or something? or what should i do?

hmm.....see its strange to me aswell......like b4 i could hit 5psi with stcok and now i jus hit that or just below.....

got my exhaust system on yesterday.....3" turbo back....hi flow cat...etc....anyway.... there seems to be no difference in power....and i still cant get it over 5psi from giving it a boot.... also, i believe that the company i bought the hi flo cat from sent me a s13 cat instead of and r33 cat...would this make any difference to it? like would it be more restrictive? (the s13 cat has been fitted on my r33.......as i had no other options but to fit it until i can get the company to sort it out....) so yeah, just wondering why it still hasnt made a difference?

personally mate, i would reccomend that u buy a stock skyline and do it up urself.... that way i know it hasnt been thrashed adn u know what parts are goin on, when and how much its worth to u! buy a stocko then build it up.....thats what im doin and i reckon its the best way to do it....i dunno what the others on here think, but yeah...just my suggestion!

to tell if u arent givin it enough....sit from stationary then go and jus plant ur foot....if it dont go any higher than ZERO then u have a problem...then take it to ur mechanic and go from there!

u called it square jus cos he 'says' it wont happen again...as if...he doesnt care....he would have let the dog do it again if it had the chance....i would have been out of the car and ripped the dog apart....or jus ran over it and then gone 'meh, deserved it'!
