  1. I got the same problem. there's at least one other gtr 34 i know of with the same fault. I managed to fix it a while ago by opening up the boost sensor and cleaning the circuit board with cleaner. It worked flawlessly for about 3-4 weeks and only recently has started dropping in and out. I also have Power FC...do you have the boost controller as well as I was told that was the only way you would see the PFC show boost on the hand controller. I ask because when I first got the car but didnt know much about the hand controller I do recall seeing the boost/vaccum readout. Now I don't but when running a sensor check I get a voltage showing. I'm going to try and clean the sensor circuit board again and when I get a chance, swap sensors with another 34 (don't think it needs to be GTR) and see if that fixes it so I know what I need to buy. p.s If you do a search for your topic or something like it, you should find my original post from a few months back
  2. Thursday works for me to catch up somewhere to arrange what's gotta be arranged. I'm down with fast eddys in morley at anytime after 6pm...10pm is getting on a bit but can do it if need be. Saturday I work from 8am til 1pm so will have to meet up at the Mecure at around 1:30pm at the latest I'm hoping. I'll get a hand to fit the ribbons load in a member of the bridal party and be on our way at 2pm :-) If someone/anyone can text me details of any changes or plans to be places in case I miss here thatd be great iain 0418620065 as an alternative to morley...does scarb or hillarys work for anyone? Better parking and places to sit and hangout to eat/drink
  3. ok. Im still in. just need to know the following for certains since I've been away from the board and have some quick planning to do. 1) Are any of us still to catch... ahhh just got an email from Hong...lemme read... ok.. so I'm still to get ribbons from Hong...are any of us catching up thur or fri to do the same? I'm working till 1pm on Saturday. I'll get ready to go from here (Osborne Park) and be ready to catch up at the Mecure before 2pm :-) cheers
  4. White R34 GTR...I have to check my race/track schedule but the dates mentioned don't seem to ring any alarm bells so I'd say Im in if you want. Not sure about the 30th for lunch but the Wedding in May should be ok :-)
  5. I can only kinda help as Im having the same issue. I actually had a hose connected to my dual turbo timer but disconnected it as I didnt need to read the boost twice (MFD is easier) I left the hose loose so I could reconnect it but when I had my alarm installed the hose dissapeared. I can tell you it used to exit in to the engine bay in the top left corner of the engine bay...if you're standing looking at your engine. There's probably a master wiring loom to trace from there but also about 30cm away there's a rubber grommer that pops out easy enough you could feed something through. That's the easy bit. I haven't worked out how to get something from there to somewhere in the footwell area to come through. I've read that near the drivers pedal there's a place but I'll be damned if I can find it...
  6. Not sure if it's the same car but I've seen a really nice purple (custom -- not midnight) with white wheels...they'd painted the wiper arms white too. Drove behind it down Graham Farmer then Great Eastern Hwy about 3 weeks ago the day I got my car :-)

Heya, it was a nice drive out...i have the drivers arm sunburn to proove it! I took off from Mindarie to Hillarys to get a head start on finding food. All I found was the round a bout of doom. Cops did a breath test and proceded to take my car away from me while they did a drug test and license check. I was just waiting for the ... "ehh...so can you pop the bonnet and give us a look?"....having said that.. The guy who drove it around seemed to be a fan of the car and didn't say anything. Great having a chat to a few of ya, see ya again on the next one :-)
  8. So Im not going crazy!! Thanks for sharing! I thought there HAD to be someone else in the world having this issue but I couldn't find anything anywhere about it. I cleaned up the terminals of the sensor and that didn't make a difference. I'll see if I can I do a swap with someone today to see if we share the same problem. I'm looking at grabbing the NISMO Ver2 MFD board and sensors in the near future... Its a bit of a worry that you've had the problem return after having had it fixed...i understand with the R34gtt one as it was resoldered....not promising if the R33 has gone haywire too... what could our cars be doing to cause this?.... a common hate for now being in Perth??

    Yeah I'll come along :-)
  10. ::Edit:: Alrighty..Last night I opened up the boost sensor and gave the circuit board a look over. No loose solder floating around and nothing loose. I did notice a bit of build up around one of the earthing/power terminals which had caused a brownish/amber gunk that had crystalised and spread across a small portion of the board. It looked to touch two parts of a circuit so gave it a gentle scrape and clean and put it all back together. I've been for three drives since then just to test it out and try and get it to fault but it still working so for now I'll assume that whatever I did fixed it. I can all but assure you I'll be back in no time at all to say it was all bull and isn't working again...I hate electronics and it hates me! Alrighty...I'll do the intro thing another time. I've met a few of before away from here and Im sure we'll get to the pleasantrys when they're due. For now though I need a little help. Long story short. The boost readout on my MFD works intermittently and it's p*ssing me off! I don't drop boost at all just the output. I've checked the hose to the boost receiver unit and that's in one piece. I've checked the electronic connections to the receiver and that looks good too. I'm thinking it's the receiver but if that was the case wouldn't my PFC have a spack attack not being able to read boost? I'm still getting used to all the 'extras' on my car compared to my rather simple v-twin, NA, carb race bike...so easy to tinker with that comparitively. Anyhow...I was hoping to see if I could try someones receiver unit for a quick drive to see if it still faults so I can start to eliminate causes. Not sure if the GTT one is the same as the GTR though...I'm guessing they are. I'll be on the cruise on Sunday from Scarb so if someones willing to let me spend 5 mins swapping sensors over that would be great... otherwise...other ideas/input would be welcome :-) Cheers
