I would talk to the workshop that built it but I havent heard to many good thinks about them plus the engine had only been rebuilt less than 20,000kms ago and already spun the bottom end... I would also put it on the dyno but as I said it has spun the bearings in them.

sorry I should have clarified the question a bit more... What supporting hardwere are you using to pull 355RWKW?

I went out today and had a chat with the boys form East Coast. Seemed very genuine about what they do and what they want to acheive with their customers. Were very upfront with what was needed and the real approximate cost of what it would take to do the job. Whilst this is the first workshop I have seriously talked to about this, I will keep you guys informed of how I go with the other recommended shops. I too think that a genuine group of shops to support the guys at track meets and maybe do a tech share would deffinately help the industry along... Its all to often that you hear of horror engine builds here and on other forums...

Hey guys. I am about to take delivery of a gtst with an RB26 already in it. Problem is that the bottom has spun bearings so was thinking as I have a rb30 block already here, I should do the 26/30 combo. I would look at doing it my self but as part of our lease at home I cant do any major mechanical work here. Who would be the most trusted workshop in your opinion to do the work, the best value for money and why? I dont want go to a so called big name shop, get shafted on price to pay mega bucks for such a relitively straight forward job. I am not chasing the cheapest but someone who REALLY does know what their doing and can back it up with decent service afterwards. I guess I am looking for a trusted and reliable shop with a really good reputation in brisbane. Cheers Jeremy
