  1. You can use almost any grease, it's not so critical. But generaly the better grease to use is that used in boat trailer wheel bearings. This application will be listed on the container, and its good stuff as its water proof.
  2. I would surgest you put the platinum or iridium spark plugs aside just for a while. Give it new ordinary copper spark plugs gapped at 0.7 or 0.8mm. You may find this fixes the misfire for a short time at least. Your black smoke means its running rich. Could be many reasons for that, but it needs to be fixed. What happens is the rich mixture fowels up the plugs very quick, and fancy plugs do not like that. Then you get a misfire. With a modifyed turbo car, you just have to keep giving it new copper spark plugs every few months unless you get it tuned well enough not to do that.
  3. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...rison_sheet.htm Your looking at a GT35 or bigger.
  4. One of the main things will be selecting the right turbo. You can turn the boost up, but your turbo will need to be rated at about 600hp. (Your motor will be making near 600hp to get 300rwkw.) You can go to the website http://www.turbobygarrett.com/ and have a look at a few, and read the tutorial there on selecting turbos. The plain bush ones will be cheaper, the ball bearing ones will have less lag. Both will make good power. Then you need to do some simple maths to see if the injectors are up to it... A programable computer is needed. The Nissan computer can be played with and reprogramed. Or a stand alone afermarked computer can be used. Appart from obvious things like exhaust and intercooler size, the car needs to be started and tuned by a expert. It can be tuned on the road with the right gear, a dyno is not needed. Unless you want a printout showing the 300kw.
  5. I suspect the R35 will hold it's value for a long time in Australia, because you probably are not allowed to import many R35s if Nissan Australia are selling them? I could be wrong.
  6. Hello. Just testing... my first post. I am better known on the Toyota forums. I am the mechanic at JDS down in Hobart, so just lurking as I will be doing more and more Skyline work. I just downloaded Nissan FAST program. Just getting the hang of it. I am already familiar with Toyota EPC of course.
