  1. Is there any way to hide the ECU? say...under the center console?
  2. I don't want a turbo...hence this being in this thread...lol
  3. I think that's the nail on the head right there...thanks guys, i appreciate it...
  4. Well if that's the case, why not just save up for a turbo? It's also 2 years where i am... 3 year total if you've just gotten your licence... HWP?
  5. Yeah, i was also thinking of doing an exhaust and what not...but the main part of the law stated that it was only NOT allowed if it required an engineer's approval post-modification... Do cops usually take off the timing belt cover? If so, it probably wouldn't be a smart thing to change the cam gears.. I was gonna put in a forged and lightened crankshaft... No Aftermarket ECUs are allowed? Wouldn't it be good if there was a thread that simply stated WHAT legal modification are allowed on the new p-plate laws? Basically, i'm going to see how much power i can get out of an rb25de...but i want to do it legally, and not cut corners...(nothing beats the sound of a properly tuned and modified NA engine)... Cartz
  6. Hey guys, Just curious in regards to the p-plate laws that state that no p-plater may drive a car that has had any modification to the engine that requires an engineer's approval. I wanted to change the cam gears, camshafts, pistons, valves and crankshaft...as well as lighten the flywheel...not allowed? or allowed? Cheers guys, Cartz
  7. I'm also interested in picking up one of these...but not for timing or drag info, more so, i'm after one to log information pre and post modification, so i can test certain equipment and see if it makes any sort of a gain/difference without having to 'feel' for it. Sometimes one may be overcome by the money they've spent on an modification, that they believe that it really DOES make a difference, when it doesn't...is this performance measuring tool accurate in terms of, Power and Acceleration? Cheers, Cartz

  9. Hey guys, this is a pretty simple newbie question, but am i right to assume that certain parts e.g. Coilovers, Rotors, Calipers etc that are suitable for a GTS-T will also fit a GTS? Also, is it the same for an RB25DE and a RB25DET...allowing for the fact that one is turbo, that parts will be cross-suitable?
  10. Hey guys, i'm looking to import an R33 Skyline GTS, i've gone around several importers, scoping out what they offer etc etc. Has anyone had any experiences with importers in Brisbane? I'm looking to spend around $11,000...is this a realistic, no bull figure?? Cheers guys Cartz
