  1. Great build. Looking forward to see the final product.
  2. Does your motor have the extended oil pump drive coller on the crank. If not, I would not rev pass 8400rpm. Any higher and you may break the pump.
  3. I you do it right, a healthy RB26 with stock internals will handle a lot more than 500whp. I have been able to do 600plus whp on a AEM standalone, upgrade fuel system, turbo and a set of Tomie cams. RB26s are great motors. You must just learn how to keep them alive. In short, good fueling and oiling are the keys.
  4. I agree with everthing here except "enlarging oil returns, fitting external oil drain, fitting oil feed restrictor, fitting crank collar, fitting enlarged and baffled sump, getting megabuck oil pump and super-duper balancer are all top ideas. but none can be done with the engine in the car". The damper pulley can be installed with the engine in the car. But you are right about every thing else . I recommend the damper pulley to anyone who has a R32 rb26 even if you dont plan to race it. It will help lenghten the life of the old motor. Its a good investment .
  5. Yes I am, the ATI damper give that extra proctection that is so much needed.
  6. I agree with you 100%. I have my R32 rb26 motor in a S14 silvia for a year now. I too change my oil as often as possible. The motor is still stock (stock pistons, rods head gasket etc.). I have a set of Tomie cams and a turbo upgrade with stand alone. The car has been dynoed at 606whp. The car races about twice a month on a regular. Things not to do is over rev it or repeatedly bounce off the rev limiter. I am speaking from experience here. Those two things will definitely kill the motor. I rev mine to 8100 rpms Its a good idea to invest in a ATI damper pulley too.
  7. Hi doutsis I am also looking for affordable replacement disc for my twin G Max. If you find one, please let me know. Thanks
  8. The turbo is a garrett T04z with a 70ar back housing. The motor has factory pistons, and I am using Tomie pon cams 260 degree.
  9. Thanks everyone for the info on the GTR axles and hub, they work like a dream. I am now hitting 1.4s 60 foots, best to date is 1.47sec. Also, I have been able to get the boost up. I am pleagued with a faulty waste gate, but was able run 26psi. The car did 7.003sec in the 1/8 on a test and tune night with minimal track prep. We have an event today. I will keep you all updated.
  10. Thanks for the heads up on the GTR hubs. My friend makes about 480whp and his best time to date is 7.1sec in the 1/8th. You are right, at 600whp I should be able to do 6.5-6.7sec, but I am not the best of drivers . We have an event at the end of this month. I will have the car ready for that.
  11. Thanks, I will definitly look into this. I need something that can handle my hard launches. Thanks again
  12. enjoy! Oh take some time and look the time slip in the vid. Thanks I have R33 GTST diff, axles, the whole rear sub frame. I will look into the GTR axles and hub, thanks. No issues with the gearbox as yet and the twin disk clutch is still holding. The red 180sx in the vid is using almost the same tires that you have (26*11.5*16 ET Street drag) , but he has them on the twin turboZX 8.5" rims. I am using MT 26*10*15 on 10" weld rims. In the rear I am using stock S14 shocks, with lowered skyline springs. Yes I do have adjustable aftermarket links in the rear, with polyurethene bushing in the spindles. I also have a set of aluminum rear subframe spacers No i dont have skinnies up front. I have 18"s awell with the factory skyline brakes and rotors all round. You will be fine with them. I have seen many 10sec cars without skinnies up front.
  13. Up date after the races The car having some boost isues, could not get over 20psi. I think its the cheap Ebay waste gate, but on 20psi I was able to run 7.1sec in the 1/8. Best 60ft the car had for the day was 1.50 sec. Then "Bang", i broke the outer CV joint in the rear. The car is HOOKING!!!! So i now have to resolve my boost issues and change the CV joint. I will look into some performance ones.
  14. 650whp, well thats good to hear. Thanks for the heads up. Oh i just installed my 600plus hp ATI damper pulley, now I am ready for the big races this weekend.
