  5. Just wanted to update this thread. I have just done about 1500-2000 km after the gearbox oil changed (Redline Shockproof Lightweight). There are actually quite a bit of difference now, the gear seems so much smoother than before even with colder weather morning start. I am happy with the result so far, smooth as butter and it just slides in neatly going into 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Also able to get into first gear easier than before. Not sure if it is killing my gearbox right now, but time will tell. Hope this help for other seeking advice on the redline gearbox oil. Cheers.
  6. Item: Diamond 51cm Flat screen TV Age: 2-3 years Condition: good condition Price: $50 Location: Adelaide (pick up only) Contact: Comments: TV comes with remote and manual. In good condition, no problems. Got front and back A/V inputs. Cheers
  7. Finally got my gearbox oil changed to redline shockproof lightweight and diff oil changed to Castrol SAF-XA. Done about 200-300 km already, feels the same, dont notice any differences. I guess the gearbox and diff haven't got any problems, so can't really fix anything
  8. Thanks for the ppls PMs, but this item is Sold.
  9. what was ur tyre pressure before you pump it that had the whirring noise? So there are no more noise now?
  10. Hi, For people that Pm'ed me enquiring shipping costs. I just had a quick quote for the following locations: Sydney metro= about $55 Melbourne metro= about $45 Perth metro = about $70 Brisbane metro = $55 Those are registered shipping, but not insured. Insurance would be about $10-15 on top of the price. Help that give people a better idea of the shipping costs.
  11. I've got some PMs regarding the condition of the coilovers. So I guess, I just post it here for an update. My 1999 R34 GTT has done 40,000 km. So I am assuming the previous owner swapped it out around 20,000 km. Then the coilover should be around 15k-20k. They dont seem to be that old, and still in reasonable condition.
  12. After reading your comment Decim8. The conclusion is Redline Shockproof is ok for gearbox and not for diff? Anyway, I am already planning to try it out, putting Redline Shockproof lightweight in gearbox and putting Castrol SAF XA in Differential this Friday. Lets hope everything works out. Damn those oil costs $200+ bucks already *fingers cross*
  13. I havent adjust the height of the car, since I liked the height personally and it does the job going through speed bumps and drive ways. I dont know if these coilovers are height adjustable or not. Edit: I searched the net regarding the HKS coilovers and found that it should be height adjustable. But I do not have the tools for it. So i guess you will have to take it to a workshop that do HKS coils to get them to set up the height.
  14. Hi, These are the pictures I just took in the morning. Hopefully will give people how it looks in the car. Sorry, I dont really want to seperate it, so it will sell as a set of 4. Also I think shipping to Melbourne will be around $60 - $100. (not sure, just guessing) Since it is relatively heavy. But if you can PM me the postcode I can give you a more accurate quote.
  15. The HKS one is definitely very sharp and precise in handling. Kinda like in a go kart, gives you great feel of the road compare to the Tein SS Jap spec. However, it is quite firm and it is suited much better on tracks than the Tein SS. I been driving my car everyday for 2-3 months with those no problem, kinda got used to it. But the passengers I take find them fairly bumpy. The Tein SS is also very good on the road, but it lacks the go kart feel and thrills of the HKS one. However, as I am driving this car everyday to work along a crappy and bumpy road in SA's northern suburb, I think the Tein SS is much more suitable for me.
  16. Hi, Sorry, I dont have pic of the car when these were on it. But when I asked my suspension dealer to put in the new one (Tein SS). I asked him to set the exactly same height as when the HKS was in there. Because I liked it the most, good look/handling and able to go through speed bumps and drive way no problem. I should be able to give you a photo of my car with the Tein SS since it will be the same height as the HKS one sometime tomorrow morning since it is dark already. I roughly measured it and it was about 330mm Front and 335mm rear. (from centre of wheel to guard). (Although if you want a more exact measurement, let me know)

  19. Hey Decim8. Any improvement no ur situation? It sounded pretty bad, popping gear is the last thing i need. I think I will check out the Motul Synthetic gearbox oil.
  20. Thanks for the info Decim8 So you used the Redline shockproof lightweight for both Diff and gearbox? o
  21. err... ok, another user with bad experience with redline. I guess I just leave it for now, and pour some other in there until my gearbox is bit more worn. How many KM's you done on ur R34 Decim8
  22. I got my R34 Tein SS from Henry (RMS Motorsport) and I had no problems with it, good communication and advices. As soon as the item arrived in Aus, Henry sent it to me from Melbourne to Adelaide on the same day and I get it on the next day. Woot woot.
  23. Just received the Redline lightweight shockproof oil. I got 5 litres just incase if the diff needs it too. But after reading some threads regarding the redline oil damaging the gearbox, I am bit hesitant to put it in now. Because it seems for some reason, these couple of days the gears seem to change smoother. Maybe the damn heat wave in Adelaide is causing it, or maybe because my old HKS suspsension was a bit too hard and the car bounces around too much causing the gear to be harder to change to. Now I got the Tein SS it seems to be smoother. So I think I will hold off for a few weeks and see how it goes first before putting the new oils in.
