  1. Guys,

Have called a few places (who had very high quotes for bloody 15 year old parts without warranty) but I'm sure you guys could point me in the right direction a lot faster.

After R33 parts to complete a manual conversion (on an R34).

Need a manual gearbox, tailshaft (front part), manual spigot bush, clutch master cylinder, clutch slave cylinder,

-clutch MC to Slave Cyc lines, pedals, flywheel. Will buy a new clutch kit seperatly.

Have posted in the WTB section here but very few replies and I really want to do this over my Chrissy holidays as I have the next 3 weeks off so figure if I can find a wreckers with it in stock I'll be right.

    Cheers for any help.

  2. I need manual conversion parts for my R34 GTT auto coupe. Don't mind if they are R33 or R34 parts as both fit.

Would need R33 or R34 manual gearbox, manual pedal box, clutch master, clutch slave, clutch lines, clutch, flywheel, spigot, front of tailshaft, manual instrument cluster, manual gear surround and anything else that I've forgotten.

    Thanks.

  3. Have an R34 GTT with mods in my sig.

Before I got the SAFC NEO no error codes.

However ever since I got the SAFC NEO installed and dyno tuned about a few months ago I get the check engine light come on every single time after about 2 minutes of starting the car and driving. The car lightly hesitates for a brief moment as the light comes on, you touch the accelerator peddle gently and the check engine light dissapears then everything is normal. I have driven it like this for a few months then finally got time today to run a diagnostic to satisfy my curiosity. Code 33 comes up which is "heated O2 sensor". I find that strange as I put in a brand new o2 sensor about 6 months ago and also my fuel economy is pretty damn good for a boosted six in 80% city driving - average is 12.2L/100km.

So given that background info my question is - is it common for a SAFC to cause the car to throw up error code 33 and can this be ignored?

  4. Guys have an R34 GTT tiptronic auto about 200rwkw. It is in tip top condition (at least was) and the trans has been serviced regularly.

Over the last few weeks whenever it rains and the roads are slippery, if you get the back end out a little (or any sort of sustained wheelspin) the car suddenly goes from whatever gear it is in to first gear and won't change out of first (max speed about 40km/h). The only solution is to stop, put it in park, turn engine off then on and suddenly car is fine. I noticed the A/T light flashed on the dash when I restarted the car.

This has happened about 4 times now, any suggestions?

  5. on a diferent note. SORRY TO DOUBLE POST

    but my r34 GTT auto,

has full 3 in exhaust, ( fake cat, etc

    pod filter

    front mount intercool

    boost controller

    spitfire coils

( other mods not perfomance no need to list)

basically can anyone recommend a good way to get a tune? i tried few months ago but was quoted 2200, not incliding tune...

someone said to me safc neo, but isnt hat just air fuel control?

I basically have same mods as you except installed an Apexi SAFC NEO ($350ish) and got it tuned ($250ish) - see my sig.

  6. i mean wen coming to a stop and just put foot on clutch and brake.

and yeah it happens more wen turning corners.

so is there anything i could do to stop this happening but keep the bov??

maybe get the idle pushed up a bit??

My R34 auto does the same thing. I have a stock BOV (it dosnt leak). Everything has been cleaned or replaced, no boost leaks ect. I know aftermarket BOV's do give trouble but why everyone jumps to the conclusion that it must be the aftermarket BOV when just as many people have this issue with a stock car is beyond me...

I have simply come to the conclusion that skylines are a sensitive, nervous, high maintenence car that give you as much grief as happiness.

EDIT - I should note that in my case I am 99% certain I have traced this problem to the titronic computer being too slow to react to a quick stop and stalling in certain situations. This dosnt help you manual guys though.

  7. Been driving a Falcon ute for work the last 2 weeks so used to the Ford style of tiptronic (tap forward to go a lower gear). So jumped in the R34 this morning and was doing about 50 in third when I tapped the gearbox back twice to go up to fourth - so it obviosuly changed down to first with a big jerk at about 60km/h...

After I stopped cursing I discovered the car would now not change out of first in tiptronic mode, kept trying for about 200 metres, no luck, stuck it in D for about 200 metres and no luck either. So came to a complete stop in D and then took off and everything was normal.

Is this a sign of autobox going or diff going? or did I just overheat the clutch packs or something?? I like to fix problems before they become bigger ones...car is running 200rwkw (for about 2 weeks now).

  8. six people, 2 skylines.

2 poor bastards were in the back... that's not very quick get away material...

    GO BACK TO WREXIES! :D

lol I can imagine them trying to get away - stuffing around with the lever to move the seat forward then banging their head on the low door arch as try and get in the back. Then the driver that had to move his seat forward sits about 1cm away from the steering wheel as the skyline seats do not remember their original position. By this time the cops have shown up...
