  4. :bahaha: Yeah I know mate... not too much time now... but I must say I am almost happy that I can't work on it again until monday... I am nearing 525 hours spent on it mostly by myself, huge thanks to Jamie for his technical direction and assistance!!! We have only now to swap sensors around and bolt the head onto the bottom end... drop it in the car, grab some seats and harnesses and away we go! Should be running by Wednesday at the latest... then I have to put a piano on it to run it in and try to behave myself... anyone feel like an overnight cruise halfway to melbourne and back! I'm getting so excited about having it back... can't wait! Dan.
  5. PM's replied. Jimx, call me re tomorrow/next week if you can please. Cheers, Dan.

  7. Yeah... next car will be that way! No more heat gun and chisel for me!!! Princess, we will be getting on the grog in Mallala... I actually have a spare bed if you want... but you better be quick! Pulled the stock turbo off today to check it all out... nearly no shaft play at all, and still spun freely so all good... compaired it to the new one and OH YEAH BABY!!!Have to check... but I'm sure that it is bigger than a 25/30... more like a 28/35!!! :D:D
  8. UPDATE 07-05-06: Wiring is all back in now, today we start assembling the bottom end, the head will be back Tuesday or Wednesday and the car should be running Friday!!!! LOOKING GOOD!!! Dan.
  9. PM's Replied. There is a pretty long line for the front bar.
  10. Hoping to have out out of the workshop the Wednesday after next, then a quick drive to Melbourne and back to run it in... and finally out on track for a shake down on the 22nd of May. Should be fun trying to get that all done! Cheers, Dan.
  11. PM's replied again guys, and Engine price dropped to a steal at $2900 ono
  12. Before I retire for the evening also kids... I was at MFX today picking up my rear bar and the Drift Cat and her man Trent were there having her car sprayed. We got talking about the HUGE task of stripping out the tar sound deadening... Apparently 10kg's of dry ice on the tar, you cover the whole floor section with it, wait for it to start making a cracking sound and hit it with a rubber mallet! It lifts off and leaves a perfectly primed surface ready for painting! Takes 45 mins to an hour... I HATE finding things like that out now! Sleep good kids, Dan.
  13. UPDATE 06-05-06: Yesterday I had a really interesting and exciting day... plenty got done on the car, with pedels, steering wheel, hand brake, various engine bay components and 1/4 of the wiring loom going back in. I'm not working on the car today, but tomorrow will be a full day tomorrow assembling the bottom end, which will hopefully be running by Friday next week!!! I also plan to finish the wiring also tomorrow. Yesterday I also got something REALLY big started... I know you are all going to hate me, but I can't announce anything about the deal yet until it is sealed. BUT... IT is HUGE for me so as soon as I can let it out I will post in here! No pics today gang, might get some more tomorrow! Cheers, Dan.
  14. I competed in Formula Drift last year in the car (look at my avatar). Should be GOOD, can't wait to get out and drift again... only a couple more weeks!!!!!
  15. UPDATE 04-05-06 (see date above!!!): Thanks for the support guys, I have a bunch of pics to put up from today... but I am just so buggered it isn't funny, I just got home, started at 6am this morning and will be back there at 5 am today... yes TODAY. So... [start REALLY REALLY excited voice] we painted the inside of the car tonight!!!! I am so stoked that I don't think I will be able to sleep... actually, I will be able to sleep, but am still over the moon that we finally have paint in the inside of the car!!!!! Tomorrow we start to put it back together, having a day off on Saturday, the back at it all day on Sunday, and Monday Tuesday Wednesday also... then back to work. I cleaned up all the Engine accessories today, you know, oil pumps, oil coolers bolts etc... they look a million dollars, well at least brand new! :ban: The bottom end went to be balenced also today ready for final assembly on Sunday, I actually think we will be putting kms on the car by the weekend after this one, and then tune and wow... we should make it!!! Happy to chat to people on sunday, but I'll not be downing tools to chat, will be chat on the fly. The car is at Waterhouse Auto Care in Penrith, so drop by and say hello! Anyway... Here are some pics! Dan.
  16. UPDATE 03-05-06: I AM BUGGERED!!!! Well I started at the workshop just after 5:30am this morning, I am littereally still in my garage clothes, just washed my hands! We got a bit done but the car is STILL not painted... Today I learnt how to build a Diff, and I swapped my (as I found out ) NISMO 1 way out of the housing with the NISMO 2 way as swapped with ABO BOB (Adam), thanks mate, in about 4 hours... pretty happy with that for a first time!... BLOODY hard to get back in... you'll have to watch the documentary if it makes it to air to see more... Also finished prepping the outside of the car for painting... should look good after it is painted! I am bloody tired and goint to bed now... need sleep, MAJOR, as I need to be back at the workshop tomorrow by 6am at the latest! Stay sideways Kids, Dan.
  17. Hey Jim, Front bar has a name on it, but I do have as of today the support for it available, make an offer I guess, don't even know what they are worth! Skirts are still up in the air, somone has mentioned that they want them pending pics, I guess if not sold by friday they are yours! Wheels are also a second in line thing... but I'll see again by friday. Would much prefer to sell them with tyres, saves the dicking around. Are you in the sydney area? Cheers, Dan.
  18. UPDATE 02-05-06: OK, well what a day... Arrived at the workshop at 5:30am, straight into getting the block semi assembled and ccing the pistons at top of stroke to get a value to match to the head and work out where the compression ratio fits... this is done by 8am. Spent the next hour pulling everything back apart again, and the block went away to be machined, we found that it was a little higher at piston 6 than it was a piston 1. After that I started to make doubly sure that the car is ready to have the inside painted tomorrow, covered off all the loose ends, and the last windows came out also. I have prepped the outside over the last 2 days for painting, so that is ready to go as soon as we know what is happen with our current sponsor proposals. I have heard that SKILLED are reviewing the proposal tonight... fingers crossed. The colour scheme has changed a little over the last week, and I am set on a three colour scheme, just what those colours are is still to be decided, by the end of the week. The Documentary is coming alone well I think, although I can't be sure as I'm not producing it... but apparently I have to meet some people tomorrow who are very interested in it... better be worth it. So, time frame is as follows for the next week. Tomorrow: At shop from 5am to ensure car is ready AND painted, Diff pulled apart ready for reasemble. Thursday: Spending from 5am putting bits back into the car, Jamie is working back on a big job, so I may be there until 1 or 2 am Friday morning. Friday: continue working on the car from 5am. Hope to have 30-40% of it finished. Saturday: More work on the car, if I can get it to 50% then I will be stoked! Sunday is the day of rest... I will work on modding the house instead... Monday, early up again, 5am at the shop and at it all day again. Tuesday, working on Dad's car possibly, otherwise hoping to move the car towards 75% complete. Wednesday: Last day to work on the car before I go back to work, so I really want it to be a minimum of 75% done otherwise I am in a bit of trouble. Keep your fingers crossed you lot... I need it this week. and here are a couple of pictures for you! Cheers, Dan.
  19. Hey Guys, Very sorry for the amazingly long delays on the pics, but there are there now, well most of them, let me know if you want more and I'll organise them. Cheers, Dan.
  20. By rewiring I mean take out the crap we don't need, ie, wiring to the ABS, Hicas, rear wiper, air con etc. I'll be out that way until about 7ish I guess, but not too sure. At least 5pm.
  21. Prices dropped further guys, lets move this stuff, make some offers. Pics up tomorrow. Dan.
