  1. yeah just the other day I turned the boost up to 12psi and added about 4% on my safc. I noticed that she felt a lil outwinded up top so I turned the percentage back to zero and it felt much better. I tryed -1 percent and it felt the same. I left it at 0% since im not running a wideband.
  2. im not sure if it caused any lag since I installed the intake and tb before I crunk her up. But I can say that I see about 5-8 psi at only 1/4 of throttle. It drives just fine. But i did install a safc to control the idle since I have a atmospheric bov........if thats spelled correctly. Yeah I for got to mention that im running 12psi with a cat delete. I was just curious if im at the peak of what she is going to put down to the wheels.
  3. im curious of how much power is made with the dp and outlet dump upgrade?? I have a rb25 with exhaust, Q45 tb, FMIC, and freddy intake manifold. Search engine doesnt work for me.
  4. LOL....I to am having the same problem. My engine has 98 km on it and brand new ngk iridiums and its doing the same thing. I beleive that im going to coat it with some urathane.
  5. I downloaded the trial version of nistune tonight and noticed that the stock GTS-t maf maxes out at 300hp. Im assuming thats motor hp and not whp. If that is the case do you think that my stock maf is maxed?? I noticed at the top of 4th gear the signal from the maf was reading 5.11. I mean this only happens when it gets around 30 degrees or lower. Thats when the boost spikes about a lbs or 2. I have a q45 maf laying around. maybe that will solve the issue.
  6. Im running the factory computer. I have the 1st blue screen apexi afc and under the sensor check it read 4.6** volts when she started to cut out. That was the top row of numbers. When it cuts it pretty much sounds like 2 stepping without the huge flames in the back. Almost what the rev limiter sounds like. im running all t-bolt clamps except for the one 90 degree coupler that comes the stock intercooler. Im running the 2 clamps that came with it. I hope its not the plugs or coil packs. I got the engine with like 98 kms. The plugs are brand new ngk iridiums. Ive been runing the car for about 2-3 months now.
  7. Ok im sure that im going to get flamed but I cant seem to get a positive answer no where. Everytime my car creeps around 11psi she cuts out. I have my boost controller set to about 10psi and when the temp drops, of coarse she spikes a lil. Now I always her that you not suppose to boost the turbo no higher than 12lbs but no one really says if there is something in the ecu that doesnt like 12+ pounds of boost. Is there boost cut on the factory comp??? I have RB25det -greddy intake knockoff -rfl bov -3 inch cat delete all the way back -fmic -2.5 piping with a q45 tb
  8. the stuck bearing is what caused the slave failure. Since the bearing wasnt moving something had to give. And that happened to be the rubber seal inside the slave cylinder.
  9. the peice that the release bearing presses onto was stuck at the end of the shaft by the pressure plate. I have never seen that before. I ended up grinding down the bevel in the iside and made it smooth. No more getting stuck.
  10. I have a 89 240sx with the r5 in it over here in the usa. I just put in my spec clutch disc and act pressure plate. Drove the car last night. I went to work, left work and went to a store before I went home. Well my slave cylinder went out on me at the store. Press the clutch pedal and all the fluid escaped from the slave cylinder behind the boot. Do I have to get a nismo slave cylinder to cure this problem or is it one of those....." well the motor has been sitting for like 10 yrs or so it was probably worn out,"??? Any input is appreciated. I just dont want this to happen again.
  11. im having a brain fart but it seems like I have had this problem before. Maybe some how that turbo is out of spec?? The boost is suppose to be built up in the compressor housing and then distributed throught out the intercooler piping. Almost sounds like it may be sucking but not pushing if ya know what I mean. check the gasket on the comp housing. I think that fixed my problem before. It suxed trying to find one. or take the turbo off and get it checked by a pro. Or if ya have a freind with anouther turbo borrow it. Good luck
  12. Im a lil confused???? How heavy is the R33 GTS-T??? Runing low 12's with slicks on Approximetly 420whp doesnt seem right. Ive seen hondas run high 12's with right around 300whp and thats FWD..... Ive also seen 240sx's with rb25 FMIC kit and 12psi run 12.2's
  13. If your using what we call here in the states.....WORM CLAMPS......... then you may want to run a bead around the ends of each pipe so the clamps have something to bit. Or put 2 clamps on the pipe/coupling thats popping off When I said bead I ment weld bead... But worm clamps are
  14. I remember when I turboed my 90 prelude(b21a1) I started off with a custom side mount and basic t3/t4 turbonetics turbo. Boost response was on point. Soon after I upgraded to a FMIC and it seemed like I took a drastic decrease in WHP.... But after I drove it I got use to it and noticed the the car gain alot more up top. I lost low end and gain top end. I always looked at intercoolers like short rams and cold air intakes. -Short Ram: gives you more response due to the short pipes. -Cold Air Intake: looses torque but Gives you more top end. I say thumbs up for a fmic but it will deffinetly help with a bigger turbo. But we all know that we are going to upgrade in the future anyways. You always have to make a sacrafise when modding your car. Shoot im getting a greddy plenum and Q45 TB wtih stock turbo to get my 240sx running. I know im going to loose some bottom end torque but the stock turbo won't be there for long....lol
  15. I bought a knock off hks type-2 racing bov and come to find out it may be more than I wanted. But then again being a knockoff the spring inside the bov might not be as stiff as the real one. What do you guys think???

  17. what kind or rom tuning programs do they offer for the RB20det?? Is the EMU even available for the Rb20??
  18. Drilling and tapping 2 holes on the rb20 head for the 2 missing Ex. studs and replacing the studs with ARP(or similar).Why would this be a bad idea???
