  4. Hey, Im currently running a turbosmart dual stage which bleeds and gets the boost coming on gradually, Im looking at getting an electronic boost controller as I am after something which I can make come on boost hard at say a certain rpm rather than the gradual boost you get from the bleed valves, currently running aftermarket turbo which comes on at about 2800rpm at the moment any recomendations into something quality which will do the job without all the fancy other gadgets?
  5. dont think its the clutch itslef, at the end of the day a clutch is just springs n tensioners nothing can really vary like mine is... i actually love the way it grabs but its a pain when this grabbing point is constantly changing. call race clutch in queensland, theres a sticky with his details
  6. yeh mate bracket was all good.. no obvious f** ups that i can see
  7. Hey people, have a jim berry full monty clutch in my 33, for some reason lately the friction point on my clutch is always changing, when the car is cold (just started driving) the thing will bite really low... as soon as i let go of the clutch itll grab, and then sometimes.. usually as I drive for a bit.. the friction point will change to as high as 2/3 of the way up the pedal stroke, which is a pain as its get impossible to get used to the car. It even gets as bad in some instances where i have the clutch to the floor, with the car in first gear, and its as if the clutch is just starting to grab.. it would also be harder to put into gears at this point, as im guessing the clutch isnt fully enganged. I have tried adjusting the clutch... which is pointless as the friction point will just keep changing.. have done a clutch fluid bleed several times with no real improvements, any suggestion guys??? any help greatly appreciated as I dont want to f*** anythig by driving it like this...

  12. Has anyone heard of fuel tanks cracking? thats my only stress at this point.. seals i can fix easy enough
  13. I had the whole mission of choosing the right manifold to due to my piping getting in the way of the stock one.. after to talking to heaps of tuners, mechanics, fabricators etc, I found that having the standard runners is the best for response down low - the short runners supposed to be awesome for top end but will make the thing a dog down low, especially with the 3540. The guy that tuned my car was saying that the Plazmaman one as it is so large would obviously flow awesome but wouldnt be the best for low revs and quick spool they are a large volume plenum - basically the turbo has to make the boost to fill all your piping plus the large plenum. So it is a bit of a catch 22 and you have to decide what you want from it. Moral of the story is, its basically like an exhaust on an N/A car, if its too big the thing will have shit acceleration but scream in the high revs, if the exhaust is smaller, you'll have the pressure down low to get good response but the theing will be restricted at the high revs. When I did mine I didnt want to or really think of buying an ebay copy and modding the runners so that is why i went the Plazmaman, looks neat in the engine bay if you match the finish right + has the long runners for down low + the good flow for making the thing go crazy later on.
  14. thanks mate i was suspecting that runnber o ring... I do notice though on my fuel filler the neck isnt fixed it seems to flex around alot in that rubber housing etc..
  15. Hi, Just noticed my 33 has a bit of a fuel leak after being able to smell it in a big way every time I filled up after having a look underneath I can see that it is actually laking as I can see where it appears to have been fuel running down the tank and over all the rear suspension bits. Question is, is it common for these tanks to crack at all? Im thinking highly unlikely although just wanted a bit of a heads up before i start pulling stuff apart. at this point im thinking its coming from the top screw cap that you open to get to the fuel pump. Any ideas/experiences? cheers
