  1. Hey Christian,

I can access my gallery if i go into "My Controls" at the top of the page then on the side menu under "Invision Gallery" click the link "your albums and then i can get into it but i used to be able to

just click "SAU Gallery" then click "Member's Gallery" and it would be under there but it isn't anymore but other peoples are? I don't know how to get it to go under there?? I don't think the gallery is working right. :D

  2. I live in the bald hills area and it is a good place to live. It is a 29 min train ride from the city centre. I have lived in Bald Hills for most of my life so i know the go. bracken ridge is ok too but has some older housing commission type housing. I have lived at Annerley and Stafford too and i hate the traffic on the southside it is super congested when you have to drive to work. Stafford is nice and fairly central but property prices have gone up and up there. I am more a northside man than south and bracken ridge is a good in between for work and ease of cruising up the coast, out to redcliffe and has some reasonable properties at the right price.

    my 2c. :(

  3. My car has the same thing with the fuel vapour, when i have just started the car you can see the vapours escaping from the filler cap area. yes the cap is done up tight before somebody makes that comment again. i thought it may have just been a pressure build up from the the fuel coming out of the return line into the tank and vapourising a small amount therefore pressurising the tank and venting it at the filler cap. anyway that is my thoughts... :D

  4. I was wondering if you guys know of anywhere on the northside to go for a wheel alignment on my R33 it has the Hicas and didn't know if this would cause problems for most places?

i did a search and i found that some people recomended bob jane at toombul?

I appreciate any input anyone has that has had a wheel alignment at a particular shop. how much did it cost also... :)

    Cheers,

    Danno.

    :)

  5. the ones in the wheel arches are gone on my car i lost one in a drifting accident, as well as the the front bar the to create symetry i ripped the other one off.. nice.

my whole front end used to be zip tied on, imagine what the world would have been like without zip ties... terrible.

seriously though i put the new front bar on and i haven't worried about the wheel arch gaurds and i have had no issues for 4 months or so.

  6. i have one of the hybrid intercoolers and piping kits on my vehicle and it works well but i found that after a bit of constant auto abuse it got a little hot and didn't perform as well as i thought it should so i wrapped the piping it in that fibreglass ehaust wrap and it worked fantastically.

the wrap covers from the compressor to where the piping leaves the engine bay and from where the piping re-enters the engine bay post intercooler up to the factory piping.

see the link for a picture of this.

  7. i just got my r33 gtst box rebuilt because i couldn't get a good second hand box for under $1500 and it seemed crappy. some people wanted up to $2100 for a second hand box. my rebuild cost $1900 alone (including fitting & removal).

a word of warning to those wanting to rebuild a box out of an r33 gtst there are some parts that take forever to get. i had to wait over 3 weeks for two of the cluster bearings eventually giving up waiting and using the second hand ones that were in there before (these bearings were still ok but not new, it was other parts that were broken).

  8. I do remeber seeing them race around bathurst and the crowd having a go at jim richards and mark skaife on the podium... in the early 90'si thought it was unfair that they raced with the v8's after they beat them. i always new the skyline was a formidable racing machine after that. it was a long time before i got one though and everyone told me i was crazy importing a second hand car i had never seen. It is the tail lights though and always will be for me. i love the round taillights. :(

  9. i had my insurance cancelled because i failed to disclose my driving history at one stage as well as my racing harness when i had my commodore. luckily i wasn't at fault in the accident but it was still a rude shock for me.

my driving history is ridiculous but i have got better with age. i have paid (wasted) thousands in fines for the way i drive and it makes me a target of the police to this day. i have been on a hit list for some time. the last cop that wrote me a ticket for excessive noise did so because he saw i had so many other fines for excessive noise already. i am not saying that i haven't deserved 90% of the tickets i have been issued cause i did. it just makes you a target.

my driving history is a few pages long. (this is what i can remember maybe not quite accurate numbers - except for excess noise)

    multiple excessive noise fines.

    a few speeding fines.

no seatbelt at schoolies (drunk-passenger-doing 20kph down the road at the gold coast)

    a couple of defect notices.

a dangerous driving fine incurring loss of license. (high speed chase 190 in 100 zone)

there is more and stories behind each case. (i have been through multiple licenses)

i am not proud of my history and it isn't cool when you can't drive your car for months at a time and have to face a magistrate. i always seem to learn my lessons the hard way. it has basically made comprehensive insurance something i can't afford and only one or two company's would insure me anyway.

i find it difficult not to get enthused and give the line a squirt here and there but there are consequences for this unfortunately. sorry for the rant my 2c..... i don't need a lecture from anyone here on there thoughts on my driving either.

  10. i bought a hybrid kit with the 600x300x76 for my r33 and it works great. it is a tiny bit laggier than the stock cooler (with stock turbo) but it cools the inlet air alot better.

i have had a problem with the kit though, the top pipe returning the cooled air to the factory inlet piping runs infront of the radiator and gets very hot. this was wasting the good work that the cooler was doing and as a solution to this i bought some thermo-tec exhaust wrapand wrapped the intercooler piping in the engine bay and the piping from the turbo to where it goes into the front gaurd and i have found this to make the car seem more powerful (seat of my pants meter used) the car feels more consistantly powerful as before it was a little ordinary. i believe getting the heat away from this has given me a definite power boost. the pipe temp is noticeably different as now you can put your hand on the piping and leave it there after you have been driving whereas before you couldn't.

i intend to wrap the dump pipe until it is under the car too with the remaining wrap i still have.

se this link for pics of the cooler install... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...500&ppuser=5132

back to the subject the cooler itself works great!

  11. try the cooler yourself this will save $$$. i was able to fit my cooler and piping myself and i saved hundreds. it was a hybrid kit but it only took about 6-7 hours to fit by myself. it could be done quicker with 2 people.

get that cooler in there before summer time as you notice the difference in summer. :P
