Hi! There will be snow i Norway soon, so now im going to do a oilservice before i put it away for a couple of months. My brother works at a local benz dealer, so I`ll get 50% off castrol oils. What do you recomend i use in the gearbox and in the reardiff? Im going to use castrol edge 0/40 in the engine. I have seen that redline if often recomended, but i dont have an 50% discount on redline. And if im going to use it i have to order from us og england (expensive)

My enginge is newly adjustet (mapped). It was mapped with a 3" exhaust. The sound is realy weak so im planning to remove some silencers and replace it with freeflowpiping (just an 3" pipe - dont know the english word for it) Do i have to mapp the engine once again after this ?

I have 300rwkw, and havent changed anything internal. Worked fine for ca 10.000kms, have a tikkingsound in my intake now but i dont think its anything serious. specs at my signature. I live in norway so i cant compare prices with you...shit is expensive here, and the postage from ex japan is enormous.

I have an intense tikking noise from my engine when its idle. Its from the intake (greddy plenum). When i rev it dissappears. Top feed hks 550 injectors. The engine is newly adjustet and dynotested..worked fine. Dont know so much about the greddy intake, only had it for some weeks. Suggestions of what to do ?

I painted the bonnet, and some other details on my old nissan patrol with silverflakes. It requires some work... 1. spray the clear-coat with flakes, let it dry. 2. go over the painted area with fine sandpaper and wet sand it. Do good work here, and make sure its smooth. 3. spray again with clear-coat (no flakes) 4. If the result is good now you are finish with the paitning, and can start polish the car. If its not good repeat step 2&3. If you use a poor flake-fabric the flakes can either sink or float in the clear-coat, and you will get an uneven layer of flakes. Test the flakes, and trye spray something just to test it (like an old patrol) Tried to upload pics, it failed. So i used a norwegian pic uploader site:

- The original cover over the coils is broken, and i`ve been looking for a new one on ebay..cant find anything. Doesnt need to be an original. Where can i find ? - My enginebay is pretty dull, with black ugly hoses both for fuel, oil and intercooler. Have found radiatorsilicone kit on ebay. But nothing else. The fuellines are pretty thin, and i havent found blue silicon hose that are so slim. Anywhere i can buy a complete engine dressup kit ? Where can i find pics of a realy well done enginebay on a r33 gts ? - The org. frontlights is plastic shit, and they are pretty "worn out" - dont think i`ll get them thru technical control in norway. Can i find new ones made of real glass ? Want to install xenon - but i cant do it with worn out plasticlights. Im from Norway, so if you have stores that you recomend - please give me their homepage..cant visit aus just to buy a couple of meter with silicon hose

Well, when i went to buy the car i saw with my bare eyes that the left front wheel was pushed forwards. The measurement was done with a measuretape, so 2.5cm is only a roughly estimate.

Yes, 2.5 cm is alot. But i was strange that the wheel was pushed forwards. I`ve seen cases there the wheel have been pushed backwards, due to front on collision. In this case the current owner probaly have reversed into something. The car is going to be hoisted tomorrow and check wheel alligement on a nissan garage. Have to wait and hear what they say before i make up my mind about this car.

I`ve driven 800kms today to look at a r33 gts i planned to buy. I saw that there were something wrong with the offset on the front wheels. And when i measured the wheelbases i found out that the left front wheel was pushed 2.5cm forward. I werent able to lift the car to take a look under it, so i dont have a clue whats happend to that car. There wasnt something that interpret that is was crashed. The bodypanels were perfect lined, and couldnt find anything that indicated that it had been smashed and rebuilt. Anyway, I had to drive the 400km back, without a skyline, so im pretty dissapointed now. Anyone have a clue what the problem can be ? Should i stay away from that car ?..just let it go ?

The car im looking at have run 85k, but the turbo is just as tight as a new out of the box turbo when i checked the fans inside. How many psi do the rd25det pushes when its untouched ?

Its an streetcar, and i shall not change the turbo. Will use the original turbo. Its an original motor from R33 gts-t Specs: -blitz air filter -hybrid FMIC -3"exhaust. -dumpvalve -6-puck sinter,bear 420hp and 500NM I want to take out between 350-400 hp. How shall i do that ? How many bars can i push the turbo boost with, and be safe not to blow anything ? And what about gasoline flow ? The motor have run 85.000 km and never been tuned before.
