  3. hey guys im after a full set of rb25 bellhousing bolts for my manual 25. need them asap, if anyone has them pm, msg or call on 0420306006. thanks, adam.
  4. hey guys, im rebuilding my rb25 atm with a rb26 crank and a i have noticed that nissan use difference bearing grades for different tolerences. so how is it possible for aftermarket bearings just to sell them as a rb26 set when they are all meant do be different? ive had the main tunnel honed and the crank just linished and im using acl race series with 1 thou extra oil clearance. four of the mains had 2 thou clearance and three had a little under, around 1.7 thou. is it safe to run the bearings like this or would it have been advisable to get the crank reground with oversize bearings? the crank is already in and im just about to drop in the pistons so im hoping i dont have to pull it apart and get it all redone. also im using arp main studs and head studs, from what i can see the mains should be 60ft/lbs. is this correct, jus seemed a little under what i expected. also what torque setting do you use for the head studs? thanks for your help.
  5. thanks mate. i have heard 2 thou a couple other times. i should be able to get away with the acl race series with 1 thou extra clearance then. woohoo!
  6. i would say its normal mate, ive seen a few of these read very low when they get to operating temp. mine used to fluxuate up and down all the time, very unreliable. if you wanted to be certain then get your hands on a known good test gauge, pull out the o/p switch and screw the line in and jus feed line through your window go for a drive and watch the gauge, only way to be sure, cheers.
  7. hey guys im interested to know what clearances ppl are using on their mains and big ends. ive got a rb25 with a rb26 crank. got around 1 thou (0.025mm) on the mains atm so im prob goin to get some takin off the crank pins as its way to tight. would like to hear from ppl in the know that dont hold out, whats the point of keeping secrets about stuff like this, just need some help. also with the arp main stud kit they reccommend 60 ft/lb's, just thought id double check on that. thanks guys.
  8. yeah same here i just bought the male to male adapter for a rb30 from nissan. about $8 trade. then bolted the plate on.
  9. ive already done them to elites spec. and yeah its also what cp reccommend so cant be too wrong. just wanted to double check. last thing i want is the rings binding. and yeah it is turbo (garrett t04z), planning on running high boost. street car but will be seeing the track a fair bit! thanks again.
  10. hey, im about to set my ring gap on my rb25 and would like some opinions from you guys. im using cp's with 40 thou over pistons. cp reccommend bore x 0.0065/0.007 for top ring, bore x 0.007/0.008 for 2nd and min. of 0.015 for oil. my bore is 3.425'' so top works out at 0.023, 2nd at 0.0274. is this suitable or is should i be running something smaller. thanks.
  11. hey your actually on subject! lol yeah cheers mate. was pretty sure that was the case as ive heard it before, just wanted to see what the rest of the world thinks before i forked out the cash, got the haltech on order anyways. cheers.
