  1. how much are you wanting to pay for it? cheers kari
  2. yeah i've had the "whats that" a few times.. its great seeing their confused faces when i go on to explain its a skyline, then going on to explain its more like a 4 seater 350z.. i have so much trouble explaining what the car is to people who have not seen it before!!! i usually just give up.. which is where usually one of my friends try to explain it to the brick wall.. which usually ends in my mates saying somthing along the lines of "trust me its an awesome car"... with myself proudly grinning as i walk away... lovin the V lol kari
  3. alrighty, thanks for you help.. atleast i know abit more now probably saving many many headaches!!
  4. yeah i've kind of grown fond of the auto somewhat.. i was thinking i will just go a piggyback.. i noticed haltech had a few which on there internet site were for a 04 350z.... im guessing will work on our cars? is the imobiliser only armed when the lock/unlock is used on the stndard key.. as i have an aftermarket alarm system (mongoose M80) which has its own 3pt immobiliser.. so im assuming the standard immobiliser has been dealt with? (or not :S).. or is the standard immobiliser disarmed when the key is inserted into the ignition? if i were to go with a piggyback would this avoid all issues with the immobiliser? thanks for all the help, sorry if i seem like abit of a dimwit when it comes to this as i havent dealt with ECU's before... kari
  5. hey jus a few quick questions.. im looking at updating my computer for the V35 coupe.. 1st of all will a computer set up for a 350z work with a 03 V35 coupe Auto? 2nd where can a new computer be sourced? 3rd not looking for anything overly expensve a nice plug n play would be good which can be tuned and re-tuned.. 4th any opinions/preferences and why? the car has a full twin exhaust with extractors and cats, full air induction and plenum spacer.. any info would be of great help.. thanks in advance kari
  6. nah was like a 97 camry..he was like a 60 yr old bloke jus come out of church!! not sure of the cost of the airbags.. but they said the seat cover was one of the more expensive things costing around $1400-$1700 from memory.. as for the reaction of the bloke, he was like "whats sort of car is that?", i proceeded to tel him getting the reponse "is that an import or somthing? does that mean it will be hard to get parts", to which i simply replied "yep....". cant comment on repiar quality as of yet but will let you guys know when i do... kari found a photo on my girlfriends phone!! sorry about the blurryness.. looks like i lost the photo's of the deployed airbags tho
  7. about 2 weeks out of christmas some idiot smashed into me while he was doing a U-turn from a stopped postion curbside (i was doing about 50-60kms driving up my street).. left hand side of the car was all smashed from the start of the door all tha way back to the rear bumper(just wasnt touched). as the accident happened. about 1 second total, there was a loud bang, car slid sideways, VDC helped to pull it straight and i was pulled over on the gutter about 10-15m from where the accident occured. airbags delpoyed, so fast i had no idea they had come out until i pulled over as only the passenger side airbag(from inside the side of the seat through the leather) and the passenger curtain airbag (Dropped down from above the window) deployed as is was a side impact.. i have the highest praise for the safety features in the V35 and we should all feel very safe driving these.. there were cars parked all down the road and i wouldnt be supprised that if the car didnt have some of these features i verywell could have wound up in a car on the otherside of the road.. now as for repairs.. repair costis $10,700 all parts inc panels, new seat cover for the entire passengerside backrest, and new roof lining etc. i only just got the car into the repairshop on the 26th of jan and the accident happened on the 14th of dec.. this was because we had the wait for parts.. still all the parts havent arrived and its currently the 13th of feb. they told me i shoud be able to get the car back around the 20th of feb but im not crossing my fingures.. so thats about 2 and a half months in repairs.. so i dont recommend smashing up your V dont get me wrong i knew repairs would take a while etc as we all do.. but jus some food for thought.. and YES im going to keep the V once repaired and continue modifying it and YES the car is comprehensivly insured and was the other drivers fault so no cost for me!! cheers i'll shut up now kari P.s. sorry i had some photos but i jumped in the pool the oterh week with my phone in my pocket so now i dont have them anymore

  12. Yep thats what it looks like on the v35.. otomoto.com.au (http://www.otomoto.com.au/HDSystems/) do coilovers for the Z33 350Z. so inturn im going with that these coilovers they are selling will fit the v35? cheers kari
  13. Hey guys, this might seem like a silly question but i'll ask anyway as thats what forums are for! i was wondering in regards to coilover install on the rear of the V35 coupe. i noticed the spring is separate from the strut (so not a coilover set up standard). so does this mean that the rear 350z coilovers will not fit? or does the strut get replaced by the coilover set up? if so what happens with the old standard spring? (do you leave it out or do you need to install a soft spring instead?). i was just wondering as pictures of 350z coilovers (out of the car) seem to have the 4 coilovers with no extra springs etc.. any help would be appreaciated (I've tried looking). thanks in advance. kari
  14. hey i was wondering if the v35 coupes have quite a loudish induction sound with the standard airbox and panel filter. mine tends to had a weird sound which kind of sounds kind of like air being sucked in a turbo car without the whine. this heppend at its loudest at around 2100rpm, if i have my stereo on i dont really notice it but with it off and the windows down i can hear it.. this does not happen when the cars in nutral only while im accerating in drive or a gear.. so i was wondering if this was normal and im just paranoid, or somthing more sinister. i've checked around my air filter and piping can cant seem to find anything wrong.. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks kari
