  1. Hey all, I currently have a R32 GTR with clutch issues, it currently has an OS Giken twin plate which is slipping, the car makes 270rwkw at the moment but hoping for it to reach ~300 soon.. Anyways... I was after some opinions on what I should do with clutch. Replace it for ~3k. Rebuild it with a genuine OS Giken rebuild kit ~2.2k or take my car a clutch specialist and get them to rebuild it for me. I think clutch specialist would be the best option but anyone who knows about this stuff I appreciate feedback Also who is a good clutch specialist in Sydney for this job? Cheers, Mitch.
  2. Legend, thanks a heap for that.. Much appreciated...
  3. No Love here... Well one last bump if I get no response I give up
  4. Bump, surely someone here can help... I have tried searching and cannot find any certain answers
  5. Any chance of anyone answering my questions Please I need some help as I need to get the gtr sorted out.. Cheers, Mitch.
  6. Cool thanks. Can anyone confirm how much diff oil is needed and if I need to do anything with front diff.. Also will this redline oil be suitable for all.
  7. Hey, I am about to change over the gearbox and diff oil in my R32 GTR. I have decided on Redline Lightweight Shockproof (75W 90). After searching around I have found that you will need around 4.1 litres for gearbox and 1.6 litres for diff so around 6 litres all up. Can someone please confirm this. Also is there any oil that will need to be replaced in the front diff of the car? How much will I need and will the redline be OK? If anyone could suggest any places I could get it cheap online that would also be great. Cheers, Mitch.
  8. If you havent done so already check if the 4WD light is coming on the dash, if so look up underneath at the attessa computer and the LED there should give off a sequence of flashes. Match this sequence of flashes to the error codes listed in the user manual or search this site for them. Good Luck.
  9. Thanks alot for your quick reply guys. That 1 piece tailshaft looks like a good option. If I were to get this would there be anything else needed to make it fit or its it a simple bolt in job in replacement of the 2 piece? Also are there any advantages / dis advantages going the 1 piece over the 2 piece? And will it be as strong as a standard 2 piece. By the way my GTR is making around 270kws at the wheels so would this be suitable. Also if anyone has one of the UAS 1 piece tailshafts please post up with your feedback Cheers, Mitch.
  10. Hey, Another problem with my car and hopefully someone can answer my questions Basically my car was making some loud clunking noises when driving. After taking the car to a transmission place they have said that my tailshaft is shot. They have given me two options to fix the car. Get a replacement tailshaft - He questions this as a 2nd hand one may well give similar probs. How much could I expect to pay for a 2nd hand tailshaft? Take existing tailshaft out of the car and repair it - Apparently the CV joint in my existing tailshaft is shot and he can take that to an engineer and get the joint re- machined. This is expected to cost around $650. What are your thoughts on both options? Is $650 an excessive amount to pay for this to be repaired? Cheers, Mitch.
  11. Nah dont know anyone with a mac... I do have a R32 workshop manual and have found the pages relating to the attessa system, ill check these and get them to the auto elec to see if he can do anything with em.. Thanks for you help anyways mate!
  12. Hmm pics dont work doo doo, looks like they are in some mac format...
  13. ABS has been taken out. Yea I dont know how surge got past fuses but almost all of them were blown and it blew headunit etc. which is on a fuse, so im not sure how that happens??? Anyways thanks again for suggestions and thanks doo doo for links, ill check em out now
  14. I have an oil relocation kit on my R32 GTR also and my oil pressure gauge runs similar to yours. As others will tell you tho the factory gauge isnt always 100% accurate..
  15. Thanks for replys No it doesnt, so the bulb must be blown. And no gauge reading, car is definately running 100% RWD... When my alternator surged it blew lots of other things in the car (including globes in the dash, so its probly blown 4WD one then aswell, also relays, headunit, fuses (since been replaced) etc.), and it is since this time my car is only running RWD. Given my alternator has blown so much stuff up I was thinking it may have done the attessa computer too. Would there be anything else electrical I should get Auto elec to check and is there a way anyone could point out to test this computer before buying a new one.
  16. Hey all, I am having some problems with 4WD in my R32 GTR, I have searched and read every other post but all other probs seem different to mine. Basically I am getting no 4WD light on, no error code leds, have checked fluid level etc. etc. I am thinking that my attessa computer is fried (had an alternator power surge few weeks ago) but I was wondering if someone can let me know how to test this before I go and buy another one. It is going to an Auto elec on Thurs and he also hasnt had any experience fixing this so some steps in the right direction would be great! Cheers, Mitch.
  17. Hey, Anything with -11 after it will have 1.1mm gap. I put 1.1mm gap sparkplugs in my RB26 and it miss fired like crazy and had to re-gap anyways. Although my RB26 is modified so Im not sure if the 1.1mm gap ones will be fine for stock...
  18. Some nice 32s up here. Well here is a coupla my 32 GTR
  19. What a bunch of shitbox cars! I hope we dont see these things on the Australian market.
  20. Excellent! thanks mate, I will check these out and just replace all 4WD fuses / relays and see how I travel.
  21. Thanks a lot for your reply mate, where abouts will I find the relays for the 4WD?
  22. No one has any ideas, please if someone knows a bit about this please post up! I dont wanna spend the $$$ on a new 4WD computer to find that it may not be the problem. Cheers, Mitch.
