NICU provide care for seriously ill and premature newborn babies. I would like to personally invite you all. You can check it out on the link below.   6. Sinsations in Mitchel is holding a fundraiser in aid of the Ronald McDonald house. This coming Thursday night, meet there at 9:30pm, They have recently lost a baby that had been getting treatment from this hospital and to show there support for what Ronald McDonnald house has done for them they holding a fundraiser.   7. Was a great day, massive turn out, raised over $9000. i say GREAT WORK from every one that was there and help arrange such an awsome day. Cant wait for the 2010 Rushhour Charity Cruise. P.S the one and only police officer that attended today, Shook my hand and said "great job, keep up the good work." Once again, Rushhour never had ANY problems at all with the AFP during a charity run. i have said it before and will say it again, Its a Charity Cruise, to raise money, 0 Tollerence for bad driving etc Nothing more then that. so 100% Leagle. Again, thanks for those who came to show there support.

It's on again, for those of u who came last year, spread the word on how good it was, those who didn't, We are meeting on the 1st November at the Phillip ice rink and pools car park at 11am stickers will be on sale for $10 each, even if you don't want a sticker pls pay your $10 as every cent is needed and greatly appreciated. We then cruise to the cotter for a BBQ and raffle.   11. To whom it may concern. I am trying to find a standard turbo for my skyline and a drivers side window switch as well as the relay that sits just under the drivers arm rest behind the door trim. For those who live out side of QBN and ACT can stop reading this now, to the rest of you please pay close attention Last november as some of you already know we did a charity cruise for the NICU (Newborn Intensive care unit) of woden hospital and we raised $7500.00 or there about. CPS and 106.3 are now holding a fund raiser to help raise the rest of the 180K needed to get a special mobile baby intensive care crib that can be used any where, good for choppers, ambo's etc. They have asked if i can arrange another charity cruise in add of there funding. So, on march the 29th... its on again. please go to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=5529...eid=55291692108 to find out more information and list your self as attending if you can make it on the day. if you are not yet a facebook member you can make an account via www.facebook.com even if its just a temp account. you can close it after the 29th of March if you wish.   13. Hey mate, was a great turn out, just under 400 cars and between 1500 and 2000 people. No accidents thank god, every one was on there best behavour. we raised over $7100. i will be holding another one next year. second sunday into november. Hope to see a brain in your car by then
  14. Hey every one, Im extremely greatful to all that have said they are able to attend. It is a GREAT CAUSE and its also local. This is the first event like this that i have put together and i want to thank everyone that has supported me in any way. Just a reminder, it is this coming Sunday (16th Nov). Please be at phillip ice Skating rink car park at 11:00am, No later then 11:30am. Please spread the word, and bring as many people as you can, its not about how sick your ride is, but how many people we can get there to donate So all Cars, Bikes, Trucks etc are welcome to come along. Champ. im greatful for your concern, But as this is a CHARITY CRUISE all about making benjamins for a GOOD CAUSE, Most people dont care where they have to park, so long as they are there. if they do mind, then they should be closer to the front during the cruise. The reserve that we are going to accomodates over 200 car parks + there is another car park accross the road from the main one, and another 2 min walking distance from the main carpark that would fit probally another 200 cars. and if there are more people then that, there is a whole street people car park off behind the Park car park. Appreciate the assistance man, but i have spent a few weeks constantly planning for this event. And we are expecting at a big turn out, cars, bikes, trucks etc to be there. Thanks Tyson.
  16. Oh, yeah, its official. One of the Dr's from the NICU will be there on the day to do a speech, and is drawing out the raffle. So far we have 3 $20 fuel cards, donated by caltex, A car detail to the value of $240 by Tidy Car, Free wheel Alignment, balance, and tyre rotation donated by Ozzy Tyers. we are still waiting to hear back of Audiotech, BDL car stereo, Bing-Lee and Fisher Discounts. should have all prizes in order listed mid next week. So should be an awesome day. Police have offered to stop traffic for the route but I'm not sure that we will need it as there is a directions form, so no one should get lost. P.S I'm not the best at writing, so any mistakes.... My Bad

Please do come, and have some fun. this could be one of the largest cruise in the history of canberra. Already over 500 name up and its only been listed for 17 hours :0 On that note, if you have Facebook. RH Charity Cruise 2008 Canberra Hospital NICU This Charity Cruise is to help raise money for the Canberra Hospital’s Newborn intensive care unit For parents like our close friends Matt and Lisa Opie who have had to go through the hard times of seeing their premature and sick babies fight for their lives. Lisa Opie as an example has had 3 miscarriages in the past 3 years trying to have her and her husband Matthew Opie's second child. In Feb 2008 Lisa fell pregnant for the 4th time, More than ever Lisa and Matt wanted to have this baby, and get through the nine months of pregnancy with little to no complications . Everything was going according to plan until Sunday 28/62008 when things started to head down hill as it did with her last 3 pregnancies, Lisa was admitted into The Canberra Hospital straight away and the doctors were able to prolong her pregnancy and she was kept in the hospital under close monitoring until the 23/08/08 when their 2nd baby girl was born, MYLIE FAITH OPIE. With the fast and experienced staff of the NICU, they took Mylie and gave her the assistance she needed. She was 14 weeks premature, and had a 50% chance of survival as she was not developed enough to handle the world outside of her mothers womb without assistance. Thanks to the NICU Mylie was given a real chance of survival, with at least one of their qualified Nurses and Doctors at Mylies side 24/7 on constant breathing systems, and other life supporting and monitoring machines. Mylie is now 6 weeks old growing, putting on weight and becoming a stronger little girl every single day. She now weighs 1135 grams and a little shorter then 30cm in length. Without the support of the Canberra Hospital and the NICU, Sadly Mylie and other premature babies just like her would have had no chance of survival. At the cost of approximately $2000 per baby, per day in a incubator they need our support to fund these costs, to help sick and premature babies survive in our world. We would like you to come and show your support and appreciation and join in this fundraiser for the Canberra Hospital's NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit). This special place in our hospital not only helps parents and their babies in Canberra but all of Canberra's surrounding areas. When: Sunday 16th November. Where :Start at Phillip Ice skating rink car park, Irvine street Phillip. Finish at Cotter for a snag sizzle, Time: 11:00am @ Phillip. Leaving there to cruise to Cotter at 12:00pm 1:00pm sizzle starts Stickers are available on the day, all money made from the stickers will be donated to the NICU There will be a snag sizzle at the cotter all money raised from this will also be donated to the NICU. There will be directions for the cruise handed out on the day. If you can not make it to this Charity Cruise and would still like to make a Donation. Please contact me on 0400 422 238. Come out of Irving Street and turn Left onto Launceston St Follow Launceston till Yamba Drive and turn right onto Yamba Drive. Follow Yamba Drive Past the Hospital to Hindmarsh Drive Turn Right onto Hindmarsh Dr and stay in the middle lane follow all the way to Parkway exit. Turn Right (heading towards civic) Stay in the left lane, and travel along at 90KPH. Take Belconnen exit on the left onto William Hovel Drive Left onto Coppins crossing Road. Left onto Uriarra Road Right onto Cotter Road Follow past Casurina Sands over the bridge. Come to another small bridge turn right into car park. This is Cotter Av Reserve (Cotter Dam) Just after the park there are a few BBQs, this is where we will be. Raffle tickets Tickets are sold at $2 each or 3 for $5.
