  1. If you are refering to the u-joint in the steering colum, s13 will work just fine. That rubber disk is also the same as s13.

Thanks for the reply, I'm guessing its the part. Mot station have told me theres excessive play in the steering and the flexi coupling is the problem. Nissan uk said if they could find a cefiro part it would probably take up to 4 weeks to recieve from japan. So far no part has been found. Fingers crossed its the U joint, will save a lot of time and money.

  2. Hi peeps, need to do an oil change and filter on my cef pretty soon and information in the uk is pretty limited. I'm guessing the oil filter would be the same as a r32?? the engine is a 2ltr non turbo, believe it's just called a rb20e. Also should I use semi synthetic oil?

  3. Hi all, I've got a A31 cef on D2 coilovers. I'm sat on 15" ssr xr4's with 195/60 tyres. I use the car as a daily drive to work etc, I like a low look but also have to deal with speed humps in the road etc.. Often the car has a full load of people and sometimes if its wet I like to have a play. What suggestions would you have for me to set the suspension to (inc camber etc)?

  4. I've had quite a few motors now, but still one of my favourites was my c32 laurel. Awesome car, got rid of it in the end as was spending a fortune trying to fix an electrical problem and breaking down 4-12 times a day to work and back plus constant recovery call outs were doing my nut!!! Sold the car and the next bloke by luck bought a part from ebay which turned out to have been the problem. But still regret selling it to this day, awesome summer with the car cruising down the beach in jap luxury (the old computer tune singing in reverse gear), and the rainy nights kicked ass!! She was an old high mileage boat with custom made lowered suspension, a welded diff, cherry bomb exhaust and fatt off air horns and I bloody loved her

Heres a few pics of her, she used to roll on ssr xr4's on the front and meshes on the rear

  5. I'm pretty sure all cefiros are mechanical speedo. Some models (i think ones delivered to malaysia maybe) have both KMPH and MPH written on the dials.

Failing that, you should be able to take it to some instrument calibration shop and they could change the internal gearing inside the cluster so that the numbers will correspond to the desired speed.

I'll try the path of a r32 mechanical one then!! Seems the best bet so far.

    Cheers m8

  6. Interesting, is yours a pre-facelift or post-facelift model (post-facelift has an L at the start of the VIN code)

Do they even make mechanical speedo converters?

Also, out of interest whereabouts in the UK are you? I've never actually seen a Cefiro on the road anywhere.

My chassis number starts LA, R32 skylines take a mechanical speedo as far as I know. I'm from dorset, there are a couple of cefiro's over here you'll find most if you search on driftworks.com forum page.

    ....any pictures of yours?

  7. Pretty much what it says in the title. I have my eyes on my GF's old 16" Momo alloys from her 200SX S13. I know the stud pattern is the same, but what about the offsets? Any other reason why I can't just bolt them straight on.

I ask because I need to get the alloys refurbished first. One of them is no-longer round due to an unmarked, unlit pothole. Don't want to spend the money if they aren't going to fit.

Far as I know m8. I'm sure the stock cefiro's in japan have the pre facelift s13 wheels. Also I've seen a cefiro drifting with a 5 stud conversion with s14 wheels on, so would guess s13 4 studs would fit a 4 stud cefiro.

  8. Hi guys. I'm in the uk and have bought a speedo converter (kmh-mph) for my cefiro but cant find a wiring diagram. I know you don't use them but would anyone have any idea where I could find a wiring diagram to install the converter?

  9. Update on my car, Still not on the road yet.... failed uk mot due to needing 4 new tires, new wiper blades and front coilovers are shot, among other minor bits. Not really impressed with it so far, this is how it arrived from japan. rear completely bold tires front one punctured, drivers electric window stuck half open (bought new switch but seems motor is the problem) and I'm having trouble sourcing one, though am told an r32 4 door one is the same?? So I've just splashed out on a full brand new set of coilovers which I'm well happy with. Just gotta save some more now before I can do anything else. Looking at getting a new set of wheels, and a 2 branch manifold and de-cat when I've got a bit more cash. ....wish it was on the road!
