  1. Gauge works - anybody know the part # for the temp gauge sensor? 92 GTR RB26DETT
  2. Thanks, I'll try grounding the sensor wire. Yeah - heat in cabin was not suspected to be connected to the gauge but might be a symptom of what led us to the gage. Absolutely have heat at top of radiator - kinda started the whole deal. Short version of a long story -> Just got the car this spring and it has taken until now to get it road ready. Finally about to take it to have it tuned when we stumbled upon the temp gage not working (thought car might be running hot) and so here we are trying to get temp gauge functional to be able to get back to original plan<- I'll need to check for the thermostat. Appreciate the help. I'll advise if gauge works.
  3. Hi; New to the GTR. Have an 1992 GTR RB26 DETT and temp gauge in the instrument cluster in not registering anything. From what I've read, there are two coolant temp sensors? - one for ECU and one for temp gauge. Checked ECU temp sensor and resistances are in normal range (according to manual) . Checked the smaller sensor next to it on the coolant housing (single wire sensor) but can't find any specs on normal resistance ranges. Also removed the instrument cluster in off chance there might have been a loose plug or obvious wire disconnect - no such luck. Not sure how to troubleshoot this one. Are there two sensors - one for ECU , one for temp gauge. Found info on diagnostics in the manual for the ECU coolant temp sensor but how do to troubleshoot temp gauge sensor if it is separate? Curiously, heater doe snot seem to throw much heat either.
  4. Hi; New to the GTR. From Canada (hence the EH!). Young lad convinced me a GTR (R32) was a good purchase. Happy so far but clearly in need of info. Need to make sure he has the best information possible. We're member with GTR Canada but always good to have the benefit of information from as many sources as possible - specially given Skylines here are "recent" comparatively speaking ( I think).
