  1. Paragon-

To change teh oil filter you dont need to take off the under tray AT ALL - take the driver side wheel off- it's quicker and easier.

Thankyou. you saved me heaps of time. Shame the filter got stuck on :) . Oh well the screw driver trick to the rescue. And for next time i used the k&n oil filter with the nut on the end to save me future grief :(.

  2. Other things like how cold the aircon is you can change via a combination of button press procedures.

I know your being serious but........ I generally use the air con buttons to control the temperature :santa: (you know the up and down)

being serious.... what do you mean by this. what is there to adjust other than the temperature and this is on a digital scale

    ???

    You have me confused.

Oh and Geoff mine seems to work ok, however I don't use it often. I prefer to do things myself.

  3. hahahaha...cool man!

    I don't drift but!....(lol)

I'm with you on the dry weather comment....they are a great tyre for that, very confident....

...wet=downright dangerous and embarrassing!...(1985 Magna's take off faster than me in the wet!!!)..shits me!

Maybe your G3's are just a better designed tyre than my G2's???....maybe my ears have better frequency selectivity than yours!..lol!!!

    Merry Christmas Cassbo!!!

I had a set on mine. They were feathered to hell. Swapped them for semi-cheapies until i can find better. Got Nexen N-5000. They are OK but not good. It bought my sanity back though.

I'll be looking for a better set real soon though.

  4. I have a fellow in MLB that can fix it for you. he's in boronia. stylyln car audio - speak to adam, mention me.

failing that fly me down. adam and myself will fix the whole lot up. your call.

    HAHA,

I wouldn't bet against someone flying you somewhere to fix a 35 eventually Chris.

And hi to the new guys.

  5. ouch.

Hope you get it fixed mate.

Let us know the $$ damage in case it happens to one of us in the future.

Some asshole drove over the front bar of mine with a 4wd. Only a tiny scratch that I buffed out. The asshole even left the carwith his number plate on top of my front bar!!!

He was lucky that I didn't kick in the entire front half of his car before I drove off.

  6. they already do this.. for some time.. didnt u know?

Quick lets get together at 123 Doughnut St for a street race.

    I'll bring lots of Naws!

Seriously the appeal to idiots should be glaringly obvious, I mean Today Tonight and it's clone do well enough. Kids these days..............

  7. Funds transferred/ Address supllied.

    THANKS!!

How much louder can I expect it??

Can't speak for the Z tube as mine is currently in transit.

The K&N filter adds a bit of intake noise but make the whole car sound that much sweeter. The Z-tube will make the most diff. Let us know how the two go.

  8. Hi All!

I've recently purchased a black '03 Skyline 350GT 6MT and am absolutely loving it!!! Will post some pictures a bit later. I've recently stumbled across this site and have so far found it really helpful. You guys know your stuff when it comes to the V35 so I'll probably be throwing some nooby questions your direction in the near future.

    Cheers

    J

They look nice in black. Welcome.

  9. is....

    1. Having a lifetime Holden fan admit that your car is better than his :bunny:

    2. Listening and feeling the mechanical symphony every time you press your right foot to the floor.

    3. Being pulled over by a cop to ask what car is that? And chatting to him for 15 minutes without fear of getting a defect.

  10. Hi,

I posted a few months back. I live in Singapore and have been eying a V36, they have been avaiable here for 6 months now and there are only 5- 6 on the roads. There is a dealer here that has a couple and I was looking at one again today.

What options do you seeing being avalible for the V36 over the next 6 months with conversion of software to English? With the Infiniti G37 being released Europe (there is a RHD version for the UK) early next year I wondering if there are any options or even from the US G37's.

Maybe it makes sense to hang out for G37 that is for the UK market. Not my first choice..Skyline forever!!!!!!!

    Thanks

Honestly who cares what badge is on it. It's a Skyline even if some tool dropped a Holden badge on one! Of course the Holden badge would have to come off and be burned

Just get the car you want and don't live in hope of some vapourware ever showing up.

  11. All,

I got photo happy when installing my genuine nissan Clear indicators. I hope this helps someone else out. It will take you less than 15 minutes, all I used was a screwdriver and a rag (to clean up gunk behind old indicators).

    Parts:

    gallery_55491_2832_777505.jpg

Step 1 - Pop out old light (be careful not to scratch)

    gallery_55491_2832_6396.jpg

Step 2 - Once Light is out disconnect the bulb from the surround by turning 45 degrees

    gallery_55491_2832_3609.jpg

    Both indicators side by side

    gallery_55491_2832_151806.jpg

Step 3 - Remove the old bulb - DO NOT TUG ON WIRES!. Use the plugs for leverage please and a screw driver like pictured if it is stubborn.

    gallery_55491_2832_9624.jpg

Step 4 - Clean up gunk that built up behind old indicator (only necessary if you are anal like me)

    gallery_55491_2832_13978.jpg

    Step 5 - All Clean

    gallery_55491_2832_25172.jpg

    Step 6 - Test

    gallery_55491_2832_56062.jpg

    gallery_55491_2832_10699.jpg

    Hopefully it works.

Step 7 - Insert bulb into the indicator (will only go in one way). You will then need to lock the bulb into place by turning back 45 degrees.

    gallery_55491_2832_44807.jpg

Step 8 - Place indicator back in place

    gallery_55491_2832_22622.jpg

Step 9 - Firmly press in and your done on the first side.

    gallery_55491_2832_1994.jpg

Step 10 - Rinse and Repeat with other side. You will need to turn the wheel back the other way first or your wheel will get in the way.

    gallery_55491_2832_1360.jpg

    gallery_55491_2832_1031.jpg

All done. Make sure to test again, then go for a drive to further test.

  12. hey i was wondering if the v35 coupes have quite a loudish induction sound with the standard airbox and panel filter.

mine tends to had a weird sound which kind of sounds kind of like air being sucked in a turbo car without the whine. this heppend at its loudest at around 2100rpm, if i have my stereo on i dont really notice it but with it off and the windows down i can hear it..

this does not happen when the cars in nutral only while im accerating in drive or a gear..

so i was wondering if this was normal and im just paranoid, or somthing more sinister.

i've checked around my air filter and piping can cant seem to find anything wrong..

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    kari

mine has a slight noise like you describe that i can hear. but i also hear the lumpy sounds the others refer to.

Go pretend to want to buy one and take more for a test drive if you are scared. I'm sure its normal though. you'll soon find out.
