thinking about swapping my car with someone in sydney & i live in victoria, i need to get it roadworthy, does a victorian roadworthy certificate cover NSW? or do i have to travel to NSW & get a roadworthy done?
-
i got one if you cant fix your pm me.
no worries, ill check it out tomorrow & see if i can fix it if not i didnt get paid this week so ill have to wait till next, either way ill PM you if i need one.. cheers.
-
i pulled it all appart yesterday, i just lubed the window tracks but theres no bolts that allign the window there is just 2 bolts that hold it on the pulley motor & theres no room to adjust that.. the motor works fine always seems to sound like its working but the window just wont go up.
-
I'm after a right hand side back door electric window motor for an r33 skyline. It broke down, sprayed the mechanism pulley system with wd40, still goes down but motor struggles to much to push it up if anyone knows how I can fix it that would save me having to buy one, cheers..

more interested in swaps for anything other then ford or holden, throw something at me I'm getting desperate you may be suprised what I'll take.
-
More detailed pictures can come only after i get the car back. But due to the suspension issue, it might take some time, maybe a week or so. That be alright?
cheers
Danny
no worries, that should be alright, i've been trying to sell the car since march & havent had 1 person even come and look at it so im guessing there will be no problems. ha ha

Hey man
Just got a call finally from my mechanic about my 2. Service's basically done, except that the suspensions (dampers and struts, i think) and ball joints are to be changed. So probably only be able to bring it back either tomorrow or Monday. But I'll be popping down to his shop tomorrow to take a few pictures. So once that's done, I'll post them on and tell me what you think.
hey buddy,
so far pics look alright, wouldnt mind a few more of the engine/body work & with wheels on it at some stage if you can..
cheers.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...-6-t322980.html
hey mate, if it was for a straight swap I would be meeting you today, I don't have any cash to pit on top tho, I really like the mazda 6... if by any chance you are keen fora straight swap definitely pm me I will be interested. cheers buddy.

Bump. $8000 cash or swap this could be yours....

alright no worries, thanks guys..
-
alright thanks guys, does it matter if I don't have a factory boost gauge? It does the same think as an aftermarket gauge right?
-
i've been thinking about putting a boost guage on my dash, i read that i have to buy 3 way vaccum hose connector so i can connect another line to the back of my guage from an existing vaccum hose in the engine bay, i was wondering, i have 2 vaccum lines coming out the back of my inlet plenum the bottom one goes to my BOV & the one at the top (yellow hose in pic) is cut off with a screw & currently not doing anything at all..
can i not worry about making a 3 way connection in the hose and just use the yellow one with the screw in it for the boost guage to make it easier to install? or do i need to connect it to the line thats going to the BOV?
-
thanks for clearing it up man. I was reading through that thread and saw that you were selling it which lead me to this one. Didn't make much sense so yeah.
yeh thats cool, probably a good thing incase anyone else thinks the same its already cleared up..
-
You did have problems with it then asked for help on what to do coz the car with turbos is not running like before you ripped the turbos off. No info how it was fixed. Then a couple of months later you said it is running fine now. so how was it fixed?
yeh i i had a faulty ignition lead & it was making the car run bad, one of the lead ends would always cut in and out while i was driving.. i didnt find that out till after i posted all that stuff.. the ignition lead got REPLACED that same week i quoted one genuine for $232 from melbourne & organized to buy one from a SAU member because it was only $60 delivered, i posted in the 'wanted to buy' section asking for anyone with a lead, im sure you can find this if you need to be proven a point.. that was such a minor thing that i didnt even worry about posting it, after i replaced the lead the car was great, all my coil packs & lead got checked on tuesday this week by a mechanic & he replaced where the fault was so everythings great, no problems.. nothing to worry about..
-
obviously appart from the recent problem with the coil pack that got replaced but nothing else has gone wrong with it, it was running great before the faulty coil pack and its running great again after it got replaced..
-
Is this the same car as the one that you blocked off the turbo? and then had problems trying to put the turbo back, then had problems after putting the turbo back?
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pu...bo-t300900.html
indeed its the same car & indeed i required some help from other SAU members with more knowledge then me but i dont know where your getting the info that i am still having problems with the car because its been running great ever since, go back and read the end of that forum what i posted the other day & you'll realize theres no problems with the car..
-
im just going off what i've read from other forums,
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ed#entry3233745, that says 205kw..
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Pr...ay-t117506.html, that says 220kw
i dont know if the previous owner had another turbo in it at some point but on this link (which does not work on my computer anymore for some reason) he said the car ran 290kw. it does go really really quick.

OMG what a read! This is fantastic!
But now i feel like I've just been watching an awesome dvd only to have the end of it f**k out...
Wonder how the ending went?
haha i know it was an interesting topic, the car is now running very well, its all together and working, had some other dramas with a coil pack that i've fixed but all in all the car is superb, im thinking about getting a dyno sheet done soon, it will be around 290 kilowatts or a bit more, thats what the previous owner got out of it.. it ended up costing me exactly $156 to do it myself ($140 of that was just the steel braided oil/coolant feed/return lines i ordered) beats paying $560 the mechanic offered & the best part is i learnt a good lesson from it all, cheers to anyone who helped me..
the car is for sale, check out my for sale forum.

-

no worries i dont mind skylines as they are very nice to drive. normaly i would drive my old 260z its reliable and torquey as all shit for a NA but there seems to be too many idiots out there so i dont drive it very often for fear of it being smashed into good luck with the sale as it is quite a nice car and ive seen it around and its a good example of a well maintained skyline for anyone else interested.
cheers pauly
thanks for the kind words paul, there are allof of idiots on the road especially around here, i've driven my car to and from work for the past 6 months nothing more other then the occasional supermarket job for exactly the same reason, if you see me driving give me a wave mate cheers.

hey azza my names paul i was wondering if you where interested in a 1993 Toyota celica. it has 182,000km full service history and i also live in albury. the interior is immaculate but there is some clear coat coming off on the roof other than that the body is sweet as sugar and is mechanically good it has over $6000 in receipts for suspension engine re-gasket etc etc there's too much to mention id be here all day . its bone stock standed i am the second owner from new its registered in nsw until April 2011 and get about 700km out of a tank on the highway. if your interested pm me or give me a call on (0423679877)and you can come and have a look for yourself.
cheers pauly
hello,
unfortunately i've never really liked the look of the celica's, i've heard they run well and are reliable but im afraid id have to pass on this one, i've also been hoping to swap for something a little bit newer in the last few days, it sounds like you have looked after it really well & good luck to you if your trying to sell it or swap it i'm sure there will be someone on here who is interested in swapping a skyline for a celica. catch ya mate.
