At least stockos will look better than try hard chromies
-
I had the same problem with a set of 18" jap rims on 33 gtst, ended up running 20mm bolt on spacers, ended up removing wheels as I didn't trust them going hard into corners
-
All I know is it without the plumbback it idled like a hairy goat and such a pain in the arse in traffic.
-
All working fine at least it idles nicely now and doesn't draw attention as much as the old loud blitz BOV
-
Thanks for straight forward help saved me a lot of time.
Cheers Matt

you do realise there is a difference between a cheap tyre and a dodgey tyre right? a cheap tyre under-performs, a dodgey tyre blows out and sends someone into a tree at 100k's an hour. kinda like the difference between a korean car and a chinese car.
many big tyre companies have different brands in their own company for marketing reasons, for example admiral tyres and kuhmo, they are targeted at people who dont care about performance or road comfort etc, but these tyres are still safe structurally and have to maintain their safety as although admiral takes the brunt of the low end cheap tyres reputation to the average consumer, when it's structural failures that happen, it's kuhmo who have to answer.
that aside i still not convinced gislaved are all cheap and nasty tyres let alone dodgey, i think they are just a subsidiary for conti who already have an established brand in the sweden market
i wouldnt rule out the shop's part in this, tyre shops can be farkin dodgey, believe me.
I agree Gislaved are def not cheap and nasty

driving in the driveway tonight in my ute, I parked behind my r33 and the exhaust is wider than the 205's lol
-
-
I will double check that figure
-
Agreed 205's look hideous, pizza cutters especially looking from behind
-
you just answered your own question lol. They were originally off of a GTR!
I didn't mention that on the front the offset was too narrow remided me of a top fueler with the wide offset at the rear with front narrow wheels.

the rsr's are way heavier in the sidewalls as opposed to the 36's
-
I have some Zivell Riverside 18" rims. fitted to my R33 GTST
The front rims are 8" wide with a positive offset of 60 (approx. lost the sticker ) To get them to clear the brakes I have to run bolt on wheel spacers. (I know wheel spacers are illegal, but is driven on private property for this exercise)
The rears are 9" wide with a positive offset of 35 ( I have the sticker for these lol) They fit in the guards only just with 235 wide tyres.
My question is what car are they originally off ?. The dude I bought them off had them on his GTR

Next he'll ask if da turbo squeels like a cop!!!
that's gold lol

sway's, camber and pineapples
sounds good for what old mate wants

thanks for your honesty

Ive got 225/50/16 Firestone Wide Ovals on my skid rims, fits fine
How bad is sideways tyre roll if any noticeable
-
Has anyone run 225/50/16's on standard R33 GTST rims. I think from memory they are only 6.5" wide, so in theory 225 maybe a bit wide. Just after some first hand reports for street, track, or drift cause the standard 205 are way too skinny. Just trying to keep stock look, I have a set of 18" Zivell speed rims that I run from time to time, but rather run standos. Thinking about Kumho KU36 as I reckon they are good bang for buck.

sweet just removed shim plate
-
trying to make mine look stock and not go for hype, wasn't too sure on factory bov leaking that's all. Only thing that looks otherwise is pod and fmic which I plan to paint all pipework and cooler black. Sick of seeing try hard wannabee f**ked with skylines
-
people have run 20psi through larger turbos without a problem
sweet thanks
-
R33 GTST Currently run 430HP chinese turbo running about 14PSI have run up to 18PSI. Currently have shim plate between standard BOV, was thinking of removing shim to stop flutter. Just after some knowlegable facts not some half wit opinions. Cheers

will be using a power fc, bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump but want to run on stock internals. can anybody recomend what turbo will be the best suited for good medium punch through to redline and why? would be a great help
Im running one of these the internal gated 430hp from ninja garage, running 16PSI, response is good and top end heaps better than standard, have not dynoed but very impressed bang for buck. My car is only a toy definately not a daily driver. ECU is Jap LAP ECU with SAFC II, standard injectors. Have set high throttle +5 on SAFC II.
Which Tyre Would You Guys Go With?

^agree 595's do get a bit NOISY especially when worn down a bit, but it's not a real big drama. But if possible i would go kUHMO KU 31's. Also for the size of Bundy there is a lot of tyre shops which should be in your favour when it comes to pricing.
