TZE33 myself and 2 others were in mikeys car..

moving abit fast because of curfue.. in the wet tonight heading down towards the kuliuin maccas before the bridge where all the trees and no lights are..

Next moment the car goes light and ass end starts to slide out at 120km, The car goes silent as we all are imagining what could be ahead!

BUT thanks to the quick thinking of mikey, turns to correct.. Opposite lock down the highway at speed.. All we are looking at is headlights and trees about 1.5m away..

Car not slowing down so mikey does what he knows and keeping control of the skid, That is now lasted over 100m, moves the car nose away from bush ect and spins the car around, the back of the car creaping on the edge of grass and inches away from the thick trees and shrubs..

Once spun the car around we ended up bum over on the grass and the car comes to a stop!

So much could have happened tongiht.. But thanks to the good driving skills and knowing his car & how she handles... Saved the car, and himself and his mates! Much trust in this kid!

So this post is deadicated to the recognition of Mikeys (TZE33) driving capabilities and keeping his mates (also car) safe..

If anyone knows mikey personally.. give him a ring and get more details.. But what a f**king good job!

the baby has been off the road for abit.. had a road bike accident and has left me not being able to drive & hobble around for walking..

Opened up a hole in my knee and bone was exposed and grazed up right leg and left arm..

but should be back in the baby soon, cant wait! ahah

Oh and Will hows things going on your baby?? Saw you tonight i was in car lovers and yelled out but u didnt hear, and didnt think to txt ya ahah..

good to see the gal out though show her off abit!

HEy, Yeah im appart of the main group of skylines that are near or around the 711 area..

The skyline owners are really nice ppl ahah the other ppl i cant vouch for though.. but most are nice well the ppl that we hang around with..

if u ever see a black R32 with SLI32 number plates on dish crome wheels lowered ect and a green P plate dont be shy come around and ask for dave im the driver and ill have a chat with you!

The R32 made its first pass on the streets of the sunny coast today with me as the driver ahah!

So proud of her..

oh and TEZ33 and i wanna get a skyline meet sometime this weekend(near to) happening! So let one of us know if you are keen! Meet up and have a cruze along the ocean route from say noosa to mooloolaba & threw to kings beach in caloundra or something?? dunno yet plans arnt set but yeah!

Hey all, just an update on how my project 32 is going in the shop now getting worked on.. mechanic (Mat at Sure Shot Automotive) has already got the halfcut motor out (rb20de) and i put mine in on saturday. So will start on mine tomorrow and hopefully will be on the road by about wensday this week, after he adds in all my goodies too ahha And cant wait to come on one of the SAU cruses!

and too show off my baby around the coast

[Car Wont Start.]

thing is though she said it done that when she tried it just 4 days after i left sit im not sure how it could have died in the arse of 4 days of not use. i dont drive it to work during the week so its use to not being used every day.

but i think i may have to get a new battery just didnt know if it might be something more serious

Yeah mate same thing happened to my R32.. tryied jump starting it and all it did was the clicking sound u said u had.. Even when i put it on another car to jump start it, drive it home then the next morning.. it was flat again..

I found that yeah the battery had died.. just replace it & problems should go, i havnt had any problems with the car since..

Also it depends on if you Imobalizer is still running while it is sitting there.. yeah its a good idear but it drains away the power Slowly But Surely..

so while mines not running (due to mechanical work..) i turn it off (Imobalizer) and the battery is fine & new

so hope its not anything major!

Well i am appart of a quite large group of Import Car Enthusiasts on the sunshine coast, and i was wondering i can provide alot of 'evidence' or basicly accounts on the new P-Plate Power Restriction Laws..

And would love to be appart and try my best to contribute..

Because my situation is i am on the P-Plate (P1 & P2) Power Restrictions.. and i own a project car R32 skyline and are waiting till my opens to drive it (or a NA engine conversion).

My point would be that i can provide alot of evidence on people who arnt Hoons, But local import car enthusiasts, who own a turbo car and are still under the "200kw" mark.. But i could go and buy a stock V6 commodore with more power then a stock 180sx or R32 skyline..

But most of the people like to have nice cars that they show off..

Not go burning off their $250+ per wheel tyres!

There is alot i would like to say and get my point accross to the government about this.. and also that the recent P Plate crashes were in STANDARD Vechicles and not IMPORT & Preformance car.. But Commadore, Fords ect..

Because a Real Import Enthusiasts treasures their car.. and not to Destroy it??????

So i would love to help in getting Personal Accounts, Statements, Signature Partitions from drives and other community members to help, Video accounts on what we actually do.. Scenic drives to look out points and Not Hooning... Also anything else that i can to help!

I will send a PM soon but would really like to help contribute to the P-Plate & Hooning Legislation??

well that was abit of a shut down..

Well im just getting into the GTR & RB26 side of things.. ive always been around and working on RWD RB25's RB20's becuase they are more common on the coast.. Not alot of people have the GTR's here.. so thanks anyway but the first few replys, was what i needed..

and ive made up my mind anyway, im just going to get the RB25 box.. i jsut wanted to ask the question wasnt a "Im deciding tomorrow" thing..

i just went through this with my 33... was just gonna be a SUPRISE MUTHA f**kAS sorta thing for wen my car was complete lol...

u need front crossmember with driveshafts, hub carriers etc.. not sure if the 32's suspension is different tho...

u need the complete attesse wiring harness with pump reservoir and computer to make it work for one....

then u need to extensively work the floor pan to get the transfer case and front tailshaft to fit aswell...

being a 32 id probably suggest the rear cradle would need to be swapped out for a gtr item aswell.

and as nismoid said engine mounts need to be changed i dont think the gbox crossmember would even suite a gtst but unsure its alot of work and not for the faint hearted is different and kinda cool but personally not worth the effort...

Thats why i was wondering what would be best to get power to ground in a sence or what the perks of each were..

But if i do end up doing to AWD yeah i will look for the splitter ay!

if you're transplanting an entire GTR driveline into a gtst you may as well just buy a GTR as it will be cheaper.

If you do go AWD in a 32, you can always just install a switch to disconnect the atessa fuse and it will go RWD.

Ah k thanks man.. Yeah well i love the style of my car too much.. the look of her ect.. its for the love not really cost..

But i wasnt looking at transfering the driveline ect.. it would jsut save me finding a RB25 gearbox ect

I was swaying towards the RWD though?? But if the switch is possible then ill do that! Never heard of it done b4??

Hey i just test drived an n/a skyline, and it has a 2.5 cannon muffler (not straight through) and it was really loud. liek my ear was going funny, is it common, uncommon, or a fault, also, if i were to buy it, wat muffler would i buy to quiet it down a tad,

is it common for rb's to be that loud?

Hey mate, Yeah depending on what style of cannon it is it can make things quite lould.. I had a seca corolla with a 2.5" cat back system and a cannon from REPCO and it was rated at 146db at 5-6000rpm.. was reduculious lol so got it taken off in the end..

and so what i reccomend if it dosnt have a aftermarket exhaust just replace to a stock barrel and tip again put on..

If it is an aftermark one just replace the cannon part if u do buy the car..

[Changing A Rb20det To A Na?]

Hello I was just wondering is there anyway to change a R32 RB20DET to a Naturally Aspirated RB20DE at all? Baring in mind that cost wont be an issue coz i am willing to spend about 4,000+ on it if need be..

I have had a few tips from my friends saying that it could be done but at a price.. Changing the manifold and re-tuning (no boost/turbo anymore) and i would Very like to get it done.. So is there any major issues in getting it done??

(Reason for doing is because i am on the QLD 1st July rules.. No TURBO or V8's)

And this is my project car.. so after much thought i would rather keep it and convert than sell or maybe engine transplant??

Then keep modding up until i can go on turbo again, and put a Garret T28 back in ...

Just wondering on your idears or views on my little pickle..

Hey Darren, This is my first post.. been on SAU before but never got my but to sign up, my pics of my baby are on here now.. and i looked up the GTR posts.. You have really inspired me man! Read threw all the pages.. MAGNIFICENT work!

I was looking at either putting the RB26DETT into the body of my car myself, but after seeing all the work i could put into a Original GTR and the potencial they have.. I think i have made up my mind.. But yeah its for the love of the cars.. And thats what keeps my mind changing so much ahha!

Well i will keep my eye on the finall progress and keep the tips in mind.. And would much appreciate a PM sometime with some of your thoughts on my pickle lol..
