hey guys, does anyone have a set of stock rims with good tread on them? im going over the pits next tues, and desperately need a set of stock rims with good tread *cross fingers*

so i went to welshpool today. the guy said the cop is stupid and does not understand why he put down the things he did. but gave me a small list and 3 weeks to fix my steering wheel is to small? lol never heard of this 1, its jus a rando momo wheel i think duno, was on it when i got the car. 1 of my mufflers hangs below 100mm although rest of car is well above he said there is a small oil leak, rectify and degrease. how do i fix this? spose see where it coming from and go from there? and my tyres are not complied? but all in all was a good result, no imissions test although im freakn out about next time i go, he might add that on lol

hey so i did a quick search and the results where a little bit old. im being told different things as was expected, but id like to know what you guys think. i got a yellow last week, plumbd back my bov and put new tyres on, and now am ready to go over the pits. now i know it all depends on what inspector u get and what sort of mood he is in, but what experiences have u guys had? which pits would u recomend i go to? midland/welshpool ect.

yep so after havn my skyline for 6 months i jus got my first yellow on sat night. my mum was driving it (skipperin myself and a few mates to subi), took off from the lights, very slowly and then cops do a u turn and pull us over.. so aparantly my headlight was out - tru, and just a globed they used a notepad to check the height of my ride (1- mum parked up on the curb so it was angled 2- when i asked if they had a tape measure they responded with, nope dont need 1) i checked the heights when i got home, my sides are 120mm, front 130, rear 130, so i believe im fine there they said my front struts have been cut for the radiator... even tho its all bolted into stock mounts (sais my mechanic mate) and BOV needs to be plumbed - fair enough also they have asked for a DB test.. all i have is a catback, like the very back part of the exhaust, the rest is stock.. its not even looud and they wouldnt of heard it anyway as mum was driving like a nanna. thoughts?

i get crunch on every gear, and its hard to put in first and reverse. usually always get crunch no matter how fast or slow i change, although it is less noticable the slower i make the change. so going by ur rule of thumb posted above.. its my clutch? as its crunching all gears? also when going real slow, either parking, or going up a hill just after a hill start i get this weird.. grinding sort of noise (with clutch in taking off) ideas?

would clutch cause crunching on gear shift? i have same problem.. not sure if its my gearbox or clutch tho lol.

yeh man i went and got a quote. saw ur skyline and think its prety neat mate different colour choice but still nice! sounds like marcus knows what he is on about, and was very reasonable with his quote. will be sending my car in within the next few weeks,hes real busy atm.

also lookd at my spark plugs.. some of them were sittin in a small pool of oil :S wtf lol and no i didnt spill any when i did the last change

i went for a burn turned down boost, and the guage is workn as the lvl was lowerd.. theres no smoke on startup. i have standard ecu, tried a reset. workd on at the start. then started lagg. would boot it, nothin nothing then bam. now its back to jus not much at all. so maybe i need a new ecu? piggy back or something?

hey sorry to thread hijack. but i think im having the same probblem? 6 months ago when i bought the car, i felt the punch wen i bootd it, but now i hear the turbo noise but dont really feel as though im going anywhere? i dont know much about cars so any help would be nice. what are things i can easily look for?
