  2. excellent. there are next to no C211's in oz (especially coupe's) which leads me to a minor favor i must ask (i don't want to buy anything ;-) ) i will be installing the C211 dash into my C210 which i have complete from a 4 door C211 i owned 10 years ago the metalwork for the dash area is different. ie, i have to chop metal from mine. i was wondering if i could get some photos when you guys have stripped that area down, so i can see the differences, so the transition is easy. im pretty sure it will line up with the studs, but i have to cut the sheet away. the windscreen vents are in the sheet metal on the C210, whereas the vents are in the dash mould itself on the C211 as shown. any help would be appreciated and does anyone know where a R30 is wrecking in sydney. looking for complete rear end to bolt up to the coupe, and use active torque blasting (atb) lsd in the r180. with the cv rear end, should be a pretty strong setup. thanks guys and i hope i've explained myself well

  4. i was referring to vltwags, sorry :-) the l24 and l24e use the same p30 head. the only thing i can suggest has been suggested. buy a new set of headers or get some from ebay. i love the sound of a brand new set of headers vltwags, you can pop over again if you want and i can teach you. remember, when you change the dwell (points gap), you have to readjust the ignition timing
  5. hey mark, how are ya? you have extractors already champ. change the exhaust from the collector, and match the size of the collector right through how did the carb go?

  7. the windows are different. the coupe window is longer and different rear pillar angle.
  8. excellent!. sound like my old four door i had years ago. 5 speed, extractors and lukey exhaust right through, holley 180, air cond, no power steer, and very thick sway bars. silver in color, i discovered structural rust that rendered the car rooted! leaked heaps of water into the cabin, but sounded and went well. ive got my coupe fairly well stripped, will post progress pics asap
  9. try to get the original center garnish, its made to fit, as you can see below.
  10. just wondering if i could buy the following bits: * door hinges (if your doors aren't sagging as bad as mine) * rear window plastic chrome surrounds (if in good nic) * interior rear pillar plastic moulds. mine are crumbling apart. * the diff if its factory LSD

  13. unlucky alright. i got mine about 2 years ago... but i found my first set in japan a couple of days before the sept 11 attacks through the uk & jap sites. took about 4 months of emails and searching. all laid out on the floor, ready to go to my door for $650, then the attacks happened and the price went to $1000 (p/h went up), so the deal fell thru. dont give up, you'll get them!

  15. stovetop tail lights. My collection of C210/C211 stuff. more to come from the farm the only dent in the car. previous bog attempt failed! front bumper isnt bolted down. needs to be repaired. the only bit of rust in the whole car nice n straight! ive got a couple of more boxes to get from the farm. ill have them home real soon and ill organize what i will keep or sell keep ya's posted and thanks for looking

  18. hi all this is my C210 '78 coupe ive owned since 2000. IT IS NOT FOR SALE Absolutely stock, i am the 2nd owner (lady owner originally) 5 speed, no air/steer. cream interior. straight as an arrow apart from a small dent behind the drivers door have stove top tail lights (they cost a bit, and very rare!) the engine runs on 4 cylinders at best and she doesn't have enough compression to go into 5th hehe i wrecked a c211 4 door. the body was beyond repair. it was completely rusted and would not have suited a restoration from it i got 4 wheel discs, injected L24 w/5 speed, power windows, air/steer. the front light assembly and dash. (dash is much nicer and will go into the coupe, as will air/steer and brakes) some of this stuff i may be selling in the near future. ill keep you all posted.
