  2. I'll take the skirts and pods for a reasonable price. Can pick up this weekend as I'm in Adelaide. Let me know how much.
  3. Ok. So bought a Skyline a couple of months ago, but now realise it's not really practical so I'm gonna sell it. '96 Series 2 GTST Silver Auto 78K Factory sun roof Pioneer H/U MP3 Sub with Amp Cheetah Pro Stopper alarm 3" Apexi exhaust from dump pipe TurboTech manual boost controller (factory setup available) Apexi turbo timer R34 SMIC 18" Modena rims with as new tyres Front and rear strut braces I looked at about 20 cars before I settled on this one. It really is in good nick....one of the best I've seen. Asking $13500 for it. See pics here http://users.adam.com.au/sdmatthews/Skyline/ Call Steve on 0402 022 407.
  4. I did this mod today on a R33 S2 Auto. When I first read this thread I was a bit skeptical about the results, however, I must admit that it has made a huge difference. Although, I don't think it was all due to the larger SMIC 'cause the original was in pretty poor condition (had a leak) and I also found some of the hose clamps on the pressure side of things were a bit loose. I must say that the turbo seems to spool up a bit quicker now and it also sounds alot better with the boost coming on earlier than it was and my 'seat of the pants dyno' tells me I've gained an extra 20 or so KW. So to summarise...............I'm very happy that I did this By the way. I'm also running a full 3" exhaust and MBC set to ~10PSI but still have the standard air box.
  5. Got myself a SMIC....................Thanks Howie Still looking for an actuator - anyone? Edit: R32 actuator
  6. Thanks...... Wasn't aware of this product. To SLY_25T. Sorry to hear that the induction pipe was such a piece.....I guess I won't be getting that one then
  7. Glimpsed R34 GTR (I think) heading south on Main North Rd at Mawson Lakes @ 0745. Was the exhaust note that caught my attention as I was waiting to turn right into Mawson Lakes.
  8. After R34 GTT SMIC in good nic. Northern suburbs preferred. PM me. Edit: Also interested in a R32 GTST wastgate actuator.
  9. Bl##dy Trolls Didn't realise this was a test Dashmat = Protect Dashboard from harsh sun = PASS
  10. You can test the solenoid a couple of ways. 1. Unplug the electrical connector and measure the coil (solenoid) with an ohmmeter. You should measure about 34ohms. If it is open, then the coil is buggered and if it is a dead short (0ohms), the coil is buggered. If the coil checks out then your grounding point may not have a good enough connection. You can also check for 12V on the car side of the connector with the ignition turned ON. 2. With the connector mated, turn your ignition to ON (don't start the car) and put your ear close to the solenoid. Now ground the black wire (the one you connected to the chassis/body during the initial mod) - remove the black wire from gound and repeat. You should here the solenoid clicking. Hope this helps. Just ask if you need any further help
  11. Did you/do you recommend to remove the restrictors from the factory plumbing? Edit: Yay....now I can edit I bypassed the two stage solenoid today and I'm looking forward to installing the boost controller. The auto definately needs more low to mid range 'cause I'm already sick of having to rev it out to go anywhere quick. Too used to V8s I guess. lol...
  12. Yeah, I'm laughing too. I only picked the car up last night so I have a couple of little things to do to it. I'm still thinking of how to mount it securely but still be easily removed. I've found the most difficult part to source so far is a dashmat. Aunger do one but I'm trying to find a helpful retailer to order it in. Part number is ADM4192A(colour).
  13. Yes, agreed. I'm looking at mods that won't break the bank, be blatantly obvious or require cutting holes in any part of the Chassis/Body. The reason I mentioned the Hard Pipe is 'cause I read somewhere that the stock one will cave in if you draw too much suction through the standard air box and I'm not interested in a Pod Filter. I do think that I'll spend a bit more and get a half decent front strut brace though. The rear one I've got looks pretty solid and is even adjustable.
  14. Thanks, Wheels are ROH Mondeo's. Not sure what the All Japan Day is but I'll have a search.
  15. Ok, thanks for that. I have another question. Since I have a rear strut brace I'd like to have a front one (just 'cause I would) so would this be any good? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=120405300972
  16. Can anyone comment on whether or not these items combined are worth the money and will make a difference? Or any other recommendations would be great. They are for a stock R33 S2 GTsT with 3" Turbo back exhaust. 17. Hi All, Just bought myself a Skyline. 96 R33 S2 GTsT. Anyway, I have been reading this forum for quite a while, but now I've got myself one of these, I thought I should join an contribute what I can. I'm based in Adelaide and am looking forward to meeting fellow Skyline owners. About the car - I hate to say it but it is immaculate. Nearly stock except for 3" turbo back exhaust and 18" rims. Also has a turbo timer and rear strut brace. Otherwise it has 77k on the clock and has a sunroof and is - wait for it - an auto (hopefully, this means it hasn't been caned too much. Will post some pics once I remove the for sale decals. Look forward to hearing from you. Oh, here is a pic from the sale ad.
