  1. I think you must have the RB20'D'E which I believe to be 180bhp+(ish), I've got the RB20E which is the slowest Liner! 120BHP I've stuck a FSE boost valve in so the acceleration is 'less flat'!! Anyone know who makes a clutch for this engine? (R33) mine is slipping..due to the immense power I'll pumping!! haha lol But honestly, I need a new clutch and I aint gonna pay GTR prices for my slow car! So any help for a good value replacement would be much appreciated. PS I'm in UK Regards NidgeNOS
  2. Think the RB20E will be able to take a shot of N2O just for fun? or will the internals be a bit weak on this engine? The oil pressure gauge shows a lower than usual reading every so often at idle and in motion. I know it should change on applying the throttle but the reading doesn't seem to show this. There doesn't seem to be any performance problems, just the leaking engine. Whatever, I'll leave that to the mechanic.
  3. Might be right about the rocker cover...I'm might be giving parts the wrong name! cheers. My oil pressure fluctuates while driving at steady speeds, could this be due to the loose rocker cover? And yeah had a chat with my local mechanic...said the wiring probably needs changing and other bits and bobs which would add up to a big labour bill....might aswell get a proper engine put in! So I think I will try the sealant for now! Was hoping that it was just a case of unbolting the rb20e and dropping in the rb20de...nevermind. Just happened to come across a crashed RB20de. Whats the fuel eco of RB25DET? I do 60miles (100km) everyday so i presume my fuel bill will be massive! Thanks for sharing
  4. I have got a R33 GTS with RB20E engine in it. I think the head gasket is leaking as there is oil leaking around the top cover!!! Anyways..I thought rather than doing any work fixing this engine..I wanted to change it for the RB20DE (get a bit more power with a little loss in fuel economy? (its my daily run around so can't afford the petrol bill of a turbo) Does anyone know if this engine can be changed in to the my R33 chassis? Will it be a straight swap or do I need to change other things like the gearbox and clutch? Thanks Going on holiday for a week soon so thought I'd send my car to the garage while I'm away!
  5. Hi I've got a Skyline with a RB20E I use oil filters from nissan and 'Halfords', sparkplugs by Denso, Replacement panel filter by K&N I'll go get the part numbers a bit later as it is late night and cold outside!! Fitted the Tein Flex suspension, gambled by ordering the same set as for a R33 GTS and luckily they fit. Non of the parts are ever listed for this car in any catalogue, always have to buy at my risk! Just a question regarding this car...it is very difficult to find parts for it! no one even knows it exists, I bought it in error to the RB20DE...but I'm not too concerned cos i don't race it. Anyone know the stud fitment of this car? it is 4-stud instead of the GTRs 5-stud hubs. I was hoping someone has one of these cars and has been able to find alloys off a 4-stud 200SX/Silvia to fit! If so could someone let me know which model they have tried? I really need some new alloys but here in the UK they only seem to play with the GTRs... I'm also after sparkplug leads to replace the old ones that may have been there for several years! was told the GTR does not have leads, just coils?! what brands should i look for? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi, any you guys know which car the power steering pump off a R33 GTS RB20E skyline shares within the Nissan range? Have been told it is different to the GTRs as RB20E has no HICAS system, hence smaller pump...supposed to be same if not similar to one of an 200SX...can anyone confirm this, and which model of the 200SX? Just did a few donuts and the power steering stopped working!! something to do with leaving it on full lock too long. Yes they will be expensive donuts if i don't find a second hand pump! and yes it is possible to donut such a low power car! and its bloody heavy steering..use to take power steering for granted! Any help would be most appreciated, its my first post and also I am in the UK! will there be any differences in model types? Cheers
  7. or you can wait for it to rain lots and go round the roundabout as you would in the dry and end up drifting!!ok fishtailing...messy! got an R33 na 2litre. Oh don't think you get that much over there than you would here in the UK! anybody else got a RB20E struggling to find anything in the UK.
