    Pick Me A Headset

    Well rather than writing up something new I am just going to quote myself from another forum on headsets :P

    Hey all,

    Well I think it is time for a new headset. Just looking for some recommendations from you all. I have always stuck with Sennheiser's and currently using HD555 but looking for something new. Will probably still stick with Sennheiser but I may be persuaded if you give me a good reason to be wink.gif

    The issue I found with the HD555's is they were a bit heavy on my head. Still looking for something with decent sound but with minimal weight as possible. Don't really care about price but really wont be spending any more than $250.

    So just thought I would give everyone an update as i have had my AD900's for a little over a week now.

    First impressions out of the box and on my head were not good ones to be honest. I found them somewhat strange on my head compared to my old HD555's. After using them for a few days though I did get used to the way they felt and now a week in its like I have had them forever. Had my old ones for well over 2 years and was just a different feeling on my head and was the reason for the bad first impressions.

    The little pad thingy's that sit on the top of your head help with the weight of the headset. The only thing I have found wrong with them is my ears seem to get a little hot at times as there is a heap of padding around the ears but I would put up with that because of the comfort they provide.

    Sound quality is great so no issues there, After some playing around with the settings on the PC I now have the bass where I want it and its enough for me. I could see how some would want more but I'm more than satisfied with the headset.

    Would recommend this headset to anyone else considering to purchase a new one.

    I also have a pair of HDR130's which are wireless Sennheiser's but they just don't compare to the other 2. I highly recommend the HD555's and the AD900's (both are great) but if I was to chose I would be sticking with my current AD900's.

    In Settings-Plugins, I've only got the top two plugins ticked

    I think I had DirectX plugin ticked before (cause I wanted to figure out whose voice was whose while playing) and that crashed it.

    Pretty sure that's the one I was talking about...? Not sure. It's christmas day and i'm a biut drunk

    Funny it only started happening about a week ago. Prior to that I never had an issue.

    Just to add the server will be using the BTK maps. If anyone doesn't have the expansion please let us know and we will abuse you until your purchase it!

    I will be in the TS server before 9pm AEST playing a few games so feel free to join :)

    Sau Teamspeak Channel

    Hey all,

    So I have set up a TeamSpeak channel care of Games.On.Net. Please keep this as an SAU channel only and I am more than happy to make it available to you all.

    First off you need to download TeamSpeak. Then enter the following server details:

    Server address: tms-1.games.on.net

    Server port: 9987

    Channel name: SAU (it is close to the bottom) and the password is Ashsucks.

    If the channel gets abused and used for other reasons I will just take it down but if you would like a channel of your own simply sign up at Games.On.Net and you can request for one there. If you do feel free to stick around and support those who support you :)

    Alternatively if you would like a Mumble channel (like TS) just PM me on those forums and I will create you one. There are no restrictions on channel sizes etc when using Mumble.

    Hey,

    Sorry for the late notice but wont be able to get a server (this may change at a later date but not in time for wed). What I could organise is a friendly scrim with my clan though? They are not in anyway serious gamers and just play casually. It would also help with player numbers as I don't see to many people putting there hands up here.

    Please let me know if you guys want me to organise this as we have our own clan server.

    Also I am currently in the process of setting up an SAU Teamspeak channel. This should be created tomorrow and ill post up the details. This will be a permanent channel for SAU only :)

    Running an i7, 6gb ram with a 6970 on high and seem to get around 60fps for the most of it. In saying that though I keep forgetting to benchmark FRAPS because the game is to intense and I forget to do it haha.

    Last 2 days all I have been doing it getting in the attack heli's f**k loads of fun. Got about 4 unlocks left till completed and finally getting used to flying the damn thing :)

    just lifted this from the OCAU thread, and have gotten it working on mine for early access:

    Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings (Bottom of the Panel)

    Tick "Use a proxy server for your LAN" Address: 210.107.100.251 Port: 8080

    Click Okay. The via ORIGIN start BF3 and it'll unlock. Then untick "Use a proxy server for your LAN" and you are good to go.

    If you are going to use that I would advise to be cautious:

    looks like who ever used this site maybe going to have some real fun when they start hitting your routers. i suggest you people make sure you have your routers locked down and not using default passwords

    If you have a dynamic IP i suggest you change after activating, Also making sure router doesn't have default passwords etc.

    Cheers mate, what parentage did you do? And was it a full car that you got done? Also roughly what was the coat? Do you have any pics of the work?

    But not up close with windows etc. Price was around $380 I think (2+ years ago)? If you give him a call on 0417755537 he should be able to give you a quote over the phone. Might be bit more expensive than others but I will be going back there if I was to get another car.
