  1. Hey guys, After 9 months of purchasing my r33 N/A, im still getting around on its stock wheels, and the tyres are starting to go . Im super strapped for cash, as ive just moved, and are constantly getting hit with annoying expanses, so saving money is getting hard. Being N/A, nice looking 4 stud wheels are very hard to come by cheaply(second hand wheels). So heres my question, ive found some nice looking "5" stud wheels with tyres included, im wondering if i could just drill my own holes and patch it up so its nice and solid...is this impossible and a ridiculous idea or can it be done?
  2. lol apologies Yup i think that was it lol, very nice and clean car.
  3. Hey guys, sorry i havnt replied, havnt had the net set up yet, bit poor at the moment lol, stupid materials for graphic design course! . I have painted my from bar lol, still trying to afford rims, just had to purchase myself a new clutch , not cheap , so im pretty much back at square one lol along with tafe materials. i need to find a job lol. Im liking newcaslte alot, got my first run in with a commodore driver, lol they are silly people. I also saw my first r34 gtr in real life on hunter street i want one 1 lol. Where is the brewrey located in newy, im up on "the hill", is it close to there? cheers.
  4. Hey guys and girls, Just got an apartment in inner Newcastle i guess you could say , moved up from the country bumpkin town of mudgee lol. I'm still getting used to driving around in more then 2 lanes of traffic lol so if you see a red n/a r33 driving around looking like he doesn't know what he's doing, that would be me .
  5. My personal experience was that i went to the paint booth guy and said if i had it all pre-fitted, sanded back and prepped ready for paint and supply the paint myself, he would do it for under $300....and he did lol The kit cost roughly $800 aswell as buying an aftermarket grille.
  6. Thanks for the tip Replaced the front grill (400r style), gave it a massive clean and polish, scrubbed the lights with metal polish and put a little fancy nismo badge on it. I think it makes it look a little better. badge pictures arnt to good tho, crappy phone camera lol
  7. thanks, sucks being broke tho , especially when i gotta get it registered.
  8. Here is mine atm, 400r style grill on the way aswell as new wheels
  9. i dont know the exact brand of the indicators but they are LED ones. 11 buks at the shop i went to, they where sitting in the trailer light section. A note when hooking up LED's though, you might need to replace the flasher unit because with the stock unit they will cause the indicators to blink rapidly. flasher unit set me back 23 dollars. Figuring out the right unit cost me about 60 dollars lol.
  10. lol I do have black mesh on, the light must be reflecting it to make it look silver, also just looking for a nice cheap wheel and tyre package atm.
  11. Just a quick show of a before and after shot to show u guys what ive been doing without my license lol. Only a week to go though
  12. i was thinking of doing the same to my r33. Mines a series 1, so will it fit or will it only fit series 2, or are they exactly the same aswell?
  13. hey, thanks for the info, and yeh when u think about it, it does look a little odd. Reason why i got it was that was the only available at the time when i started working on the body kit and thought ill do it all in one go but removing the L shape center piece might be a good idea. thanks again.
  14. Hey guys, i got myself a 400r style front grill to replace the original one on my S1 r33. Does any1 know how to install the grill as it has no plugs for the original slots. i put up some pictures to show you what i mean. Thanks
  15. Thanks a heap for the photoshop , im thinking the iniri wheels more so, i dont want anything to fancy that takes your view away from the actual car lol. About the noise, the guy i bought it off said it might be a clutch problem but he had never had a mechanic to look at it. The squeaking only happens on start up and on rare occassions, so when it did squeak, i put my foot on the clutch a little, the noise didnt change. Then i put my foot on the accelorator and the squeak noise changed as if i was putting pressure on something. The noise lasts for approx. 8-15 seconds. Not long but is very annoying and obvisouly not good for the car lol. I have another 2 questions though. The original indicators dont fit the front bar. Just wondering what you guys use as "custom" indicators. Also during the pre fitting process with the from grille. Its a 400r style grille but when i went to fit it, i noticed there isnt actually anything to attach it to the car/lights. Anyone else had this problem or should i just dump it and find a similliar grille with the fittings. Thanks.
  16. The stickers located either side near the rear wheel arch and they also put "skyline classic gt" near the side indicators on either side.they are stuck on pretty good, i heard a hair dryer would do the trick. This is the only picture i have of the side atm, the shot was taking just before i purchased the car,
  17. After purchasing the right paint, im playing to add a set of rims, im tossing up between Apec race 6 in shadow chrome or Apec Iniri Competion in gunmetal. Also the kid before me put these damn stickers on the car, there only small but id rather them gone, just gotta figure out how to get them off without ruining the paint. Im also tossing up whether to use black or silver mesh for the front bar.
  18. Hey guys, i recently purchased a N/A r33 GTS for a little under 4k a couple of months ago. Problems with the car included: - window motor needed replacing - passenger seat belt needed adjusting - squeaky noise when started (so far only on rare occasions Anyways, i lost my license about a week before it arrived, was major bummed, but the law is the law and i have to wait 3 months. BUT! that was 2 months ago and im getting excited as ive been working on the car with the old man. - window motor is replaced/fixed and operational - passenger seat belt 100% a ok! - noise i havn't gotten around to What i have gotten around to is a brand new body kit! all Top secret, front bar, skirts and rear pods. i didn't have the penny's to send it away so dad and i decided to "bond" and do it ourselves. This is what we have achieved so far
