  1. ok, in that case, it really depends on what it is. a lot of stuff is interchangable, sometimes even if the stock items aren't exactly the same. things like pods will usually be 100% universal, not just between skylines, but all cars. it is usually just the adapter that makes it specific to a skyline, etc. radiator hoses and fan belts, etc i would assume would be interchangable. sometimes things can be determined by whether the car has ABS or not. this will often apply to brake parts (i know, captain obvious) but can also apply to other things such as fuel filters (probably not on the skyline though, but i have seen other cars where they are different).

Thanks mad082. your advice did help, but i guess ill just find out about a certain part before i buy it, because as you said, it can vary from part to part which are interchangeable and which are not.

    Thanks again.

  2. thanks for reply's guys.

i should of made myseld more clear, the exhaust was an example, i have seen parts like, aftermarket pods, silicone hoses, radiator pipes, fuel flters, fuel pumps etc. that say it is for GTT or GTS-T, i would like to know in general if all these types of parts fit/will work with N/A skylines (r33, r34) as well.

Sorry for not making myself clear everyone! hope question makes more sense now.

    Cheers.

  3. G'day,

i personally woul not go for a 300zx..

im getting a R34 N/A in under 2 weeks time...N/A as im also on red p's.

sure the increased torque sounds nice, but they are heavier, an older car and from what i have heard...really un-reliable. on top of that, they apparently have a lot of things go wrong and to top it all off, the parts to replace the ones that die in the ass cost a lot.

These cars have a high up-keep, not so much on the N/A compared to the TT, but still something to be careful of.

Personally, i would STAY AWAY from a 300zx.

Anyone, feel free to correct me on anything.

    Owen.

  4. Good morning everyone,

i did a quck search and couldnt find what i was after.

I was just wondering if parts that are reccommended for turbo cars could be used for N/A?? Example, exhaust system on JustJap suited for 'R34 GTT coupe' ... would that work/fit a 'R34 GT25 N/A coupe/sedan'

Sorry if question sounds a little silly, just something i don't quite understand.

    Thankyou in advance!

    Owen.

  5. The peacock feathers and mating calls will grab their attention, but chances are they won't book you for something that's not mechanical. You'll probably just find yourself getting "randomly" breath tested a lot.

When they hear your car is so quiet, and not decked, they will probably just stick to making sure the tyres have legal tread. If you've got the big stereo cranked they might bust you for noise if you've been a tool, but chances are the bonnet won't get opened unless they're really wanting to find an excuse.

If you want to avoid any attention then leave the car stockish, especially on the outside. If you are happy with a bit of attention but want to avoid getting defected then your plan should be good enough.

Thanks for the advice! Helped a lot.

  6. Your expectation is that big, shiny, wheels, thumping doof-doof, and a bodykit will turn the heads of the ladies but not the boys in blue?

I suppose you have a good point about the cop attention, the main point i was trying to get across, is that they will find it harder to defect you of non preformance parts, as far as im aware, i may be wrong, feel free to correct me on anything.

as you are aware, i am very new here, just trying to help the guy with the knowledge i have.

  7. I'm getting my R34 N/A in couple of weeks. im 18 on Red P's.

My plans are to get rims, stero system, body kit etc.

Anything that isnt changing performance of the car, i dont want to much cop attention at this point in time.

After i hit Green p's in few months, i will do exhaust, extractors, pod filter (enclosed of coarse  ) etc.

If i were you, i would have the same approach as cops will find it harder to defect you if you havn't changed the preformance of the car. But i suppose at the end of the day, its your choice.

    Hope this helped.
