so im guessing just leave the hand controller at home or hide it in a bag in the car or something like that. not entirely sure how they work. but have only heard awesome things from them

only reason im a bit hesitant on the PFC is im unsure if it can be hidden, and if pulled over by cops how easy they are to detect. but then i guess my car isnt very stealth with the boost controller or height plus im running coilovers.

yeah someone else has reccomended the vg30 ECU path, and i think my mate has one laying around or i may be mistaken. cheers for the help guys

haha i wish it was that easy, i should have explained it better. whatever parts he has spare. which all seem to be upgrades on my current system. having an ex drifter for a mate is a bonus. doesnt help him having expensive taste in alcohol though haha

aren't they around the $1500 mark. only starting to get cash flow back after a few months without a job. so not looking to spend big $$ just set. although i can get the labour for pretty much nothing and get things like bigger turbos/injectors for the price of a carton

off topic a bit, its actually amazing how helpful the import scene is compared to the holden scene towards the new guys. ive asked several dumb questions on this forum, and had nothing but helpful remarks back. on other certain forums i wont name, you ask a dumb/basic question and they bite your head off. so cheers guys.

i'm currently looking through the complicated manual/wording on how to create two settings on the boost controller.

so as a daily driver the highest would be 14 if im not flogging its guts out everytime i drive it? and its safe to say i drive like a grandma with the very occassional spirited drive *edited* cheers for the advice, just trying to find the highest/safest amount i can put through it when the car wont be thrashed off its guts on a daily basis

only reason i mentioned 17 was a mate had a 33 and his boost setting was on 17, and his car was stock. and 17 psi lasted until he had an accident. i thought it was a bit high but he proved me wrong.

in my other thread people were telling me not to boost it any higher than 12 on the stock turbo. curious to know what everyone thinks is an ok amount of boost to push through the stock turbo, because ive herd anything from 10-17 car is currently on 10 but contemplating putting its high boost setting as 15.

thats what i was thinking as he said it. but if the owner was smart they would have reported it stolen, and it would come up as stolen on the database wouldnt it?

just off the phone to transport sa (registration and license section ) explain i bought a car from interstate, have lost all papers and have no way of recovering them he explained this will be no problem. he basically said that the car will need to do the basic regency ID inspection. and then i go around the corner to the registration place and fill out a form ( MR1 i think it is ) and pay the required fees and then car is in my name and sa rego. cheers for the advice guys. in the end everything is going to work out.

the deal was done without me receiving his papers due to having to meet him later in the week to give him some stockies anyway, and i was in a hurry to leave so there a element of trust there. and seems i have been f**ked over. not the answer i was looking for but will get a definate answer tomorrow

ill explain it a little better. car is from NSW rego runs out in 2-3 months asked previous owner who purchased car from nsw without putting in his name for the papers, and he said he couldnt find them. and he doesnt have the previous owners details anymore (not saying he is lying or anything like that, just how it is) so basically i have a R33 in someones name who i dont know. and wondering if possible to put into my name without any papers. eg transfer papers receipt or rego papers)
