  1. All this and we still have no Idea how a stockish 33 made such good HP.. Even if peak power figures aren't that good a measure.

    Has anyone found out anymore info about this 33 and whether it was stock turbo, possibly different internals??

    Yeah i am on the case, so busy with work at the mo. Gotta convince my mate to let me rip it all apart so i can check it out.....he is more like "who gives a f%&K as long as it hauls ass" gotta say im starting to agree there.

    No Cams or headwork that we know of. Definitly standard capacity as NIB said the car looks like it has never been touched.

    Has been running with the stated mods for more than 2years now at the same boost level and never had any engine troubles so reliable??? HELL YEAH... I guess we can all just say that this car is just a freak or posible hi flow turbo?? We wont know until we pull it apart I guess...

  3. My mate recently had his R33 GTST put on the dyno. Ran up 319RWHP..only engine mods are air filter, 3"exhaust from the cat back, front mount and running 1Bar boost. Guys at the workshop say it should be only pushing out around the 260RWHP mark which sounds about right.

    I always thought something was weird about his car as my R33 had the same mods plus some extra and still struggled to keep up...

    We thought it was a standard turbo and it looks as though it has never been replaced or the heat shielding removed.... any thoughts???? is there an easy way to check what turbo without pulling to much apart??

    Just setting up a manual boost controller, not on a skyline but a CA18DET 180sx. It is a turbosmart item, the one where you need to adjust the small screw to change the boost level. Has anyone set one of these up before and can you provide pics on how it should be installed?

  5. Thanks guys, so far best price for an R32 GTST half cut is $2000 from eastern states workshop.

    Thanks boosted_R30 but im going to be needing the brakes off the cut. No point getting a bigger engine than keeping shitty brakes.

    Teejay ill get back to you when I get some more quotes on fitting.

  6. na get something absolutly thrashed 4 a few 100 bukz then rebore it bie new pistons cylnder head etc put it back together all for half the price just diy and slightly more powerfull than brand new or find afollover with fooked body nd grab engin etc try the aoctions in perth they have some good deals
