  1. Dose anyone have the factory option Kenwood DPX-930WMP head unit?

Im trying to hook the tv tuner up to it and are having a few problems trying to get the sound to work. I get the pic on the screen but no sound.

I think what I need to do is select the AUX but I seam not to be able to do this. From reading thishttp://www.kenwood.net-disp.com/j/03products/dpx_930wmp/pdf/dpx_930wmp.pdf it seams like I just have to push the src button to select the AUX.

I noticed that when I didnt have a cd in it skipped the Compact disc option so it seam like its not recognizing that there is something plugged into the AUX in socket. I took the RCA out of the AUX in and put it into another set of holes in the head unit (on page 89 of the link above in the bottom left corner where it says front) and I get sound from the TV and whatever else is selected radio cd or stacker. when plugged into the other set of holes I dont get any sound from the tv.

I removed the head unit and pulled it apart and tested the cables for the AUX in and there 100% fine. Is there a way to test if the head unit itself is faulty? or any ideas how I could solve this or is it just buy a new head unit?

  2. I was considering putting the switch on the parking brake but the switch I had wouldn't have worked. Plastic version of what Daleo posted

My plan was to put the switch on the actual pedal so when you pushed it down you would be pushing on the switch.

I ended up putting the switch in the compartment above the glove box

  3. If you want to try some where else for a custom radiator Ive had Trik Fabrications in Dandenong do a bit of stuff lately which is pretty impressive.

  4. So will the R34 will bolt straight on and use r34 discs? I think I might be able to get a set of theres, Ill cheek tomorrow

If not I try grab a set from slippylotion but will need them sent over to Melbourne.

  5. Thanks

Im not sure what the wheels are there just the ones that were on it. There not what I would go buy but they will do for now.

Ill have a look at the throttle body next weekend, I dont normally drive that way so not a real problem.

Ive been have a bit of a look around and looks like the skyline calipers will be the way to go, I dont need anything to special. Do they have to be the GTR ones, how hard are they to come across?

  6. I got around to cleaning my car and taking a couple of pics.

The rear muffler is the Nissan sport one with the switch on the dash. All week I had been trying to pick the difference and couldn't, I could here the electric motor when I flicked the switch but that was it. Turned out the butter fly was seized so that is all fixed now.

I also removed the front section of the air box just to see how it sounded.

When I took it for a drive after that with heavy braking for 100kph there is quite a bit of shuddering but im sure if I get the disks machined and new pads this should be ok. What also happened twice after flooring it to 100kph and then slowing to a stop was the engine stalled, Any ideas what could cause this?

Also dose anyone know what this is?

  7. At a very least you would want to make sure there are no wires or cables uncovered. As mention some cars/more commercial come with vinyl/rubber mats that would not be any more slippery than the metal.

Im sure there would be police that would hand out a defect thou
