I will have a look for info on GT3071r thanks guys Do you think this garrett item is better than the hypergear hiflow turbos? I have spoken to fred from Turbologic in Wollongong and he recommends buying a new garrett turbo off the shelf rather than spending money to high flow my stock.

Can anyone recommend a Garrett turbo which will bolt on to my standard exhaust manifold. i currently have an xforce 1 piece dump pipe down to cat in 3 inch stainless steel. this will need to match up to back of turbo. Im currently running standard turbo. Im looking for a garrett which will give me 260 to 280kw at wheels with great response and minimal effort to install. Does garrett have a bolton replacement which can give me some good power. i have all the supporting hardware, just need turbo Thanks guys

Why do people upgrade to the z32 air flow meter? Should i sell my fuel pressure reg? Should i down size my injectors to 550cc for better fuel economy and tune capabilities? Value your opinion.

looks like 200 to 220kw is achievable, thanks guys. Also reason i have sard 850cc injectors and fuel reg is cause i got them so cheap . like i said the standard turbo will be history some time next year and then its Garrett time baby. The injectors will support my goal of achieving around 280kw. If i dont need the fuel reg at this point then im happy to sell it to some one that needs it more than me. Z32 air flow will provide a much better tune, refined rather than power , i know this.... Anyway thanks for the feedback boys, this site is a source of knowledge, a good reliable resource.

thanks for the advice mate. im lucky i got the trust side mount for $100 bucks, very lucky i guess so hopefully will be good upgrade. Your right about K&N, Shift performance have stainless steel high flow dry panel filters for $60, i will change it soon If i can make between 200 and 220kw @ wheels with standard turbo i will be very pleased. I will keep you guys posted early next year when its tuned. As for quarter mile i have run high 11s in my sr20 ke20 corolla with slicks. Only had 180kw at wheels with car weight of 950kg. Good tires+good suspension+experience=Drag racing . power figures mean shit unless you get it all down to the tarmac and produce the times. time slip tells the story, not dyno figures.

I have a R33 1994 model with 110,00klms Mods 3inch exhaust from back of turbo greddy profec spec 2 boost controler standard airbox with K&N Bosch 040 fuel pump running 100 octane everyday( i have it available at some local servos) Standard turbo running 12 to 13 psi max Trust side mount aftermarket intercooler( 240wide, 195 high, 100mm thick core) I want to keep the car looking original but making decent power. HOW MUCH CAN THIS SMIC FLOW? Hope you guys can help me. I have a 1994 r33 gtst rb25 with a full 3inch exhaust, greddy profec2 boost controler and K and N filter running 100 octane fuel with stock smic. I have bosch 040 fuel pump. On 10 or 12psi the car ran well but over a period of 2 weeks it began to misfire and develop flat spots. I have recently replaced the platinum plugs 1.1m with a set of NGK bcr6es coppers gapped at 0.8. I have also siliconed up my coil packs as well. The car runs really smooth all the way to redline with out misfires or flat spots, even at 12psi. The problem is that the car feels alot less responsive in power delivery, smoother but slower in acceleration. Could the problem be the gap on the plugs or the fact that they are cheap coppers. Im thinking that the spark in the chamber is alot smaller causing less of an ignition and thus killing some power. What do the experts think. Ideally i want it running as hard as before with the smoothness and lack of misfire it has at present.

Hey boys need some help I want to replace my stock r33 sidemount intercooler with an aftermarket high flowing cooling item. Not interested in front mount yet cause i dont have aftermarket turbo. If i get a front mount this will be defected by police unless i have an engineers certificate and car has been emission tested. i have spoken to an engineer about this so i know the facts. I need to know if any one is making custom coolers to replace the side mount in original position. I have heard that some side mounts are good for 230kw. options for SMIC 1.R34 bolton cooler 2.Trust aftermarket 3.ARC aftermarket Surely there are companies out there making efficient SMIC to replace the standard units. Im not interested in return line intercoolers painted black as cops can spot this and defect you if you dont have certificate. Defecting is huge in NSW and im sure if we can get some good performance items for our skylines yet maintaining the stealth look more people will follow the trend. Face it guys cops hate jap imports. Any advice or recommendation greatly appreciated.
