  1. Thank You! I just blanked out and couldn't find it. I think I am almost done. a little more wiring and get the drive shaft cut.
  2. I know I saw a pinout on here someplace for the rb25det s2 ECU. It eludes me now.
  3. that " looks" like the maf sensor plug on a series 2 rb25det, should run towards the back of the engine into a loom. ...if you havent already figured it out ..try moving the cas by hand ( if you have one like mine)till you here the injectors click (with key on)..do you have two fuel lines going to front of engine at rail or one?.... I am new, just trying to help.
  4. I am pretty sure I have an s2 engine (no igniter) I am not sure that I have an s2 ecu I have read that the s1 ecu has a service light on it..and the s2 does not. I have a light on mine. so..anyone know the deal with the s1 vs s2 ecu..I do have an apexi pfc but I do not want to plug that in and chance letting all the smoke out of it before getting the car to run on the stock ecu. any ideas?
  5. 68 mustang challenger, two 66 Chevelle Malibus ,68 Chevelle Malibu I will try to post some pictures. I love all cars that give me that "feeling" we all get it it when we spool up or hit 8k on the tach or maybe hit that peg at the end of the speedo.. right now its a RB25DET in a 2700 lb car that will be 2500 when I am done and that will make for a fun ride I hope. found the car. 1991 240 rolling chassis very very cheap less than a mentionable amount. Found the engine in Canada with transmission (5sp rwd) all wiring maf and ecu. After a few beers and a smoke I decided to drop it in..the "drop in" took exactly 2hrs and 13 minutes a far cry from my normal v8 jobs taking 30 minutes to 1 hr. It was very tight I almost had the RB25 standing on end to get it in there. If you don't mark your wires you will drink so much that you cant get to the store to get more beer..and that sucks. Luckily I marked the wires and was able to make several beer runs later that night. (it is still a headache..took me forever to figure out I had a series 2..slightly different approach on the wiring..no igniter should have been dead giveaway but I thought it was just missing. I was so pumped I moved a 66 Chevelle out into the rain to play with a Nissan. Thats how impressed I am with that rb25det. I have got the AEM boost Guage and the Power FC from Apexi,Titan (innovative) wideband LC1 ,cyberdyne oil press, oil temp, water temp, I managed a BEE-R rev limiter and an apexi RSM..upgraded to a walbro fuel pump 255lph. removed the cat and have a full length down pipe.going to do a nice exhaust note I hope. In the morning we will be finishing up the wiring and cranking over for the first time.. The purpose of this car is to have fun..not to look pretty (yet). If I max out my fun factor in this little diamond in the rough I will make it look good as well..then I will upgrade everything.. Many people ask me why I do this..my reply is always the same.. "thats what I do" and my number 1 rule is.."If you do what you enjoy you will be good at it." It is always fun to take an ugly 3-5 thousand dollar fun car and go tear up some 30-40k sportscars..I am the first one in my area to do this swap..Im just going in head first..why not..
  6. I have a 30 day startup warranty from the day it cranks on mine, thats normal procedure on rb25det's around here anyway.. I never have seen one without warranty unless its a return from a previous buyer or have parts missing. If he is a stand up guy I am sure he will get you another lower assembly at least.
  7. not sure about the not as fast part down the 1/4 prolly will never be competitive just fun if I take it to the track ( I really hate doing drag with a stick) but I have seen these conversions tear a newer model cobra mustang up on the street and i have not even considered spraying the inter cooler yet. At the track the bee-r should help off the line if I ever got serious..just want a good old fashioned sleeper for the street...just found out the closest shop to tune with the power fc is like a 5 hr drive from here..geez.
  8. ok thats what info I was looking for..I already have the fmic and custom pipe kit..
  9. not to worried about clutter under the hood, I just don't want to buy something not needed to reach my goal. I already have my fmic and a custom pipe kit for the factory intake just wanted to know if I even need to upgrade the intake/plenum when I go with a larger turbo in the spring. I choose the s13 hatch because number 1 its east to install a cage if needed..number 2 its light and can be made even lighter ..oh and lastly I love to beat up on v8 cars and who would expect the measly little hatchback right.
  10. I have been looking at front mount intakes in preparation for the upgrades needed to go with the larger turbo in the spring season (USA)..I have found them from 250 US up to like 2500 us..Greddy is around 750-800 bunch of after market intakes on ebay but they claim (needs minor modifications etc) ..just want some opinions on a decent front mount intake..my target with the car is around 280 rwkw and street driven I will have pfc to help the fine tuning..any ideas? not too concerned about price but I dont want to put on more than I need for my goal. how far can the stock side mount get you to the rear wheels? Do I even need another intake?
  11. I got mine with a 5 speed also s10 had a 350 chevy with a 283 steel crank downstoked to 302 cid could make almost 8500 rpm afr heads custom intake powerglide..solid motor drank a ton of gas..done with all that now outside of my restorations and restomods will be nice to lay down that kind of powr in a 6cyl turbo car that is basically a sleeper. where you located?
  12. nice..280 rwkw translates to just under 400hp at the wheels (375 or so). I had 290 rwkw (390hp) dyno'd in a 2900 lb car (small s10 truck) and it ran high 11 low 12 second passes all day with moderate wheel spin..If I can get this rb25det to pull those numbers at the wheels I will be very pleased. not to mention I should be around 2600 lbs in the Nissan..good stuff thanks!
  13. I live in North west Louisiana Shreveport wow..380 bhp my goal is in that range. I will put some pics up soon..waiting on a few parts. thanks again guys.
  14. more compression less combustion chamber to force air into
