  1. Thanks Owen, That looks awesome, but I agree, the stock gauges are already so nice.
  2. Hi Guys, I've been taking a look around lately and since i'm not really into putting thousands under the hood of my car (aside from the required maintenance) i'm looking for some suggestions and ideas on some unique modifications that can be done to the looks, both interior and exterior that can be done on the R34 GT-T. I don't want some huge GT wing or carbon fibre bonnet, I'm not talking about ricing the car, but I want some tasteful mod suggestions that can just make it stand out a little more that I'm an enthusiast without turning it into rice or having to put thousands into the performance. Any suggestions would be great or examples of unique looks that have been done on some projects you've seen. Thanks Guys
  3. I'm having the audio install done by an audio place, i'm not sure what they'll run as far as ohms, i believe u can run them differently depending on situation or something like that? They're MRX-M55 Mono Block & MRP-F600 4 channel amp
  4. Hey guys, I used to have an r34 sedan which had an alpine r series system in it minus rear speakers and only running one amp. It used to draw a fair bit of power and the headlights and dash would flash along to the music and bass. Clearly I needed a better battery than that, but I don't know much about batteries. I now have an r34 coupe gt-t and i have bought the second amp and matching rear speakers and plan to put this all into the car, but I want to upgrade the battery to something more suited. I'm also looking to get a Maintenance Free Battery, i've had great experiences with AC Delco on that front and would hope to get one from them, but im open to anything. Some suggestions on a battery choice and also some info on what to be looking out for as far as ratings or numbers are concerned, it doesn't hurt to know a bit more about things before rushing out and getting a battery. Some suggestions about other things related, such as capacitors and such would also be helpful, I'm not sure if capacitors are there to pick up slack from the battery or to replace it completely just solely for the audio or if they are only there for when the battery fails. Thanks Guys =)
  5. Hey guys, I've got some serious rust issues, I knew they were big but I didn't know exactly how big they were. My mechanic told me I need to go to some special place that does like chassis repairs and construction or something because apparently its structural and needs to be engineered or something. Another friend told me that any panel beater can do it, they cut out the rust and then weld a new plate over the spot, but I don't know. I was wondering if maybe he was overplaying it or something, wondering if you guys had any ideas about how to deal with it or perhaps had any recommendations on what kind of place I need to take it to or an exact place you can recommend? I don't want some bandaid solution or to cover it up, this isn't about making it pass pink slip or something, I want to do whats right to make the car the best it can be.
  6. Well if idling is so bad for the car why is it advised by the owners manual and so many people who drive turbos and almost any guide i've ever read about the basics of owning a turbo car? My R34 is running stock turbo, pretty sure it's a ceramic and from what i've read is they are supposed to have idling times. I was also explained by someone, although i don't confirm that this is factual knowledge, that when you just turn the engine off something about cold air rushing into the turbo and coming into contact with the ceramic and causing a damaging crack effect, such as extreme heat and cold do when they come in contact.
  7. Hanaldo, it's in a printed off owners manual that came with the car. But it's 100% in there, the minutes might be incorrect, but definitely has an idling time for 80km/h, 100km/h and something else such as 100+
  8. I read in the owner manual that if you have been driving over 80km/h for a long time, you should give it about 1 minute. if 100km/h u should give it 2 minutes. something like, heavy boosting and hard time, 5 minutes.
  9. I am aware it doesn't have any additional benefits to the car, but it prevents me having to sit in the car and leave it idling for a minute. Which has been annoying many of my mechanically impaired friends who are like 'JUST TURN IT OFF!'
  10. lol, im looking for feedback on this product guys. Besides, i doubt you're going to sell urs at a much lower price than this item is on ebay lol.
  11. I really want to take care of my car and as such i idle it to cool down whenever i've been giving it a bit and even if i haven't i still give it about 30 seconds of idle time. I'd just rather cut out the time i have to spend waiting for it.
  12. hey guys. I'm looking at getting a turbo timer and i'd always thought they were in the price range around $100, so im a little surprised at the prices i've come across on ebay. One item particularly is a HKS turbo timer and im wondering if it's fake due to the low cost or if it's a genuine HKS turbo timer and if this would be worth getting. Another thing im interested in is the turbo timer advertises that it can automatically set perfect idle times for you, im wondering if anyone can validate that this is true? Also, are turbo timers generic and fit to every car? I need to fit it to a turbo R34. The item link: http://www.ebay.com....984.m1423.l2649 Thanks.
