i've been told about QuickTrac (think that's the name??) and NavTrac, been told NavTrac is better cos there are like 3 satellites monitoring ur car, instead of 1. I think that's right. And also i think NavTrac has a claim that a car with their system installed has never been stolen...but don't know how much of that is just marketing hype tho...
I think NavTrac is $1600 to install, including first year monitoring, then $300 a year to keep monitoring.
Don't know much about QuickTrac, sorry.
cheers.
From my understanding (I have one in my car) Quiktrak don't use satelites at all. They use a frequncy similar to how a radio station works 'spread spectrems'.
more technical stuff here http://www.quiktrak.com.au/technology/

good ides, I will look into the Unique Cars Magazine...
As for pulling it apart, it feels like such a waste of time and hard work to get it the way it is! I hope I don't have to resort to this but will keep it in mind.... thanks

Hi All
Just wondering if any of you have sold a skyline and how they went about it? I am not asking for the usual responses like put it in the Trading Post etc, I am not that dumb.
Just wondering what other options are out there, and best way to sell it?
Thanks

sorry forgot to mention this includes quiktrak alarm system... cost nearly $2000

Hi All
I am looking for interest for my 1992 R32 4 door Skyline, charcoal in colour 70 000 ORIGINAL kms..... This was a private import from a friend in Japan and it has original Japanese log book.
There has been a lot of money spent on this car…
What you get:

GTR front end including bonnet
R32 GTR wheels and brakes with lots of rubber, with callipers painted black and gold
Lowered 1.5 inches
Dark tinting

GTR inlet manifold (This was a bitch of a job!!, but well worth it)

1 year NSW rego
Immaculate inside and out…
I want to hear from people who would like to swap, swap with money or just buy it!! I bought this car for $21500 last mid last year, so I won't take anything less than $20000.
I am after something a little more standard, don’t know what really…

Saw MIZ25T yesterday parked near the metro lightrail.... I was on the monorail...
-
No no, thanks for your input....
obviously you either
A - Can't read as I said I wasn't sure if this had been posted.
B - You lack the self control to ignore something that obviously didn't need a smartarse (yet stupid picture)
Perhaps it was your way of trying to be funny, but this picture has been around for longer than what I posted, so try to have some more self control before posting stupid images that contradict what you are trying to say.
Cheers

Not sure if this is a re-post, ran a search and didn't find anything....

Hi
I have a GTR plenum on my r32...
I bought the car with it on, my mates dad did the job, and i bought the car off him.
going by what he has told me...
BITCH! of a job, took him about 2 months to do, this was obviously not consistant more a weekend thing and he did it all himslef. it is not running 6 throttle bodies.
In my opinion the benifit is great, the car has got heaps of top end power but due to the short runners it loses power down low. The original idea was to twin turbo the rb20 but he ran out of time/money and didn't go ahead with it.
I have owned the car for a bout a year now and haven't had a problem, the only thng is I need more boost to take full benifi of the plenum..
PM me if you want to see some pics of the engine bay.

Anyone here driving down the M2 this morning at about 8:15-8:30 in a silver R32 GTR I think the plates ended in 32L?? Car sounded mean.
Also a Maroon R33 didn't catch the plates but guy had a blue shirt on and took off down the T2 lane on Epping road...

I take it the pup is in Tassie?

Go the 4 door
I found that insurance is cheaper
they are not as common
dont draw as much unwanted attention from the boys in blue.
more fun when you pull up at the lights as others dont always recognise it as a skyline - untill they see my tail lights :-)
I love my 4 door, they are just as much fun as the 2 doors but more practical. I decided to get one after I had my silvia for a year and 2 doors just pissed me off.
-
Hey cul202
I am in the hills area...
I have only ever seen one other 32 4 door on the road and that was one that looked identical to mine...
See a fair few 2 door 32's around, but mainly 33's...
-
I saw an R33 last night UFO 033 (I think) on Windsor road... I was in the 4 door at the lights.
Was that your mate in the Lancer? I heard this thing revving next me but I just thought nah not going to bother but the little thing took off pretty hard, would of been a good run after all...
Nice 33 you got there shooting some pretty mean flames too...
-
Thanks for all the feedback...
I got it professionally steam cleaned today the guy spent about 2 hours on it! He sprayed it with a whole load of odur remover stuff...
I will let you know how it smells when I get home tonight!
My mum was home when it was getting done and she said he fell in love with my car when he saw it and then she caught him in the drivers seat pretending to drive it!!!!

Hi all
I spilt a 500ml bottle of milk in my car on the back seat, the damn lid came off when I was driving and I didn't notice. It pretty much all soaked through I could only get the little bit that was sitting as a puddle at the bottom....
What should I do it hasn't stained but I am scared to get in my car tonight because will it smell like curdled milk??
-
I have been looking around at some sites for the chips but can't find one that looks good... I had a look at the fueltronics and chiptorque website but they look as though they are already pretuned. Don't I need one to get tuned for my car because of the mods (plenum etc)?
Is unichip any good?
Because I will probably change the turbo again in about 6 months so I want something that can be re-tuned... thanks for your help.
-
oh ok didn't know that...
thanks for the feedback everyone.
If anyone else has done this to their 32 can yuo let me know, thanks.
-
Excuse the ignorance but why can you chip a 32 and not a 33?

Is it the line that goes into the heat box going into the firwall into the dash?
Yes sounds like the one that went in mine
yeh common problem in 32's mine went about 2 months ago... I took the lazy option and got a shop to do it. From what the guy told me you have to take the starter motor out to get to it, a hoist will be a BIG help. (Thats the main reason I got it done at the shop).
sorry i can't be more helpful...
