  1. That's exactly what I did in the first place - the installer I went to is an authorized dealer for the alarm I purchased and they were recommended by a number of people in the ACT threads.
  2. Today I had a new alarm fitted to my R34 GT-T since the factory/dealer alarm doesn't immobilise the car – it only honks the horn and flashes the indicators. My problem is, the shop who fitted the alarm can't work out how to disconnect the factory one without using the Nissan key unlock button - although the alarm stops as soon as the ignition is turned on. Does anyone know how to disable the factory alarm? I've had a search through the forums but haven't found the answer. Car is a 2001 GT-T Series II.
  3. You were spot on - there is a nipple for the pipe to fit onto. Now i'm wondering if I should reconnect it or not.
  4. According to the service manual it is the 'air inlet pipe' that connects through a 'vacuum tank' to the 'turbo pressure sensor'. Obviously the pressure sensor is not connected at all. Is this a bad thing? There is no boost controller in the car now although there may have been one installed by the previous owner.
  5. Just bought an R34 GT-T, and can't work out what this orange/black box is and why it might be setup like that with the bolt in the end? Any ideas?
  6. G'day everyone, My name is Nathan and I have just bought myself a 2001 R34 GT-T triptronic. Previous cars were a 78 Datsun Skyline, 95 Mazda 323, 05 Liberty GT and currently own a 07 Mazda3 SP23. I've spent the last few days having a read on the forums - can't believe how much information is on here! Hope to meet some of you soon. Cheers, Nathan
