Hi everyone, I just recently finished swapping out my RB20E for an RB25DET and replaced the transmission as well with the one that was mated to the RB25DET. I've noticed an odd clicking, tapping noise coming from what sounds like the transmission. It is a manual transmission with an OS Genki Twin Plate Assembly and that's as far as my knowledge of the transmission goes. The pressure plate did have an odd sort of issue during the install. One of the tangs on the pressure plate was bent out a lil bit. I tried asking around to see if this was going to pose a problem after the install but I couldnt source an answer out of anyone. One of the shop techs I spoke to told me to unbolt the pressure plate from the assembly and flip it around. Im not a mechanical genius by any means, but to me that didnt seem like it would fix the actual issue. It doesnt seem to pose a driveability issue. Everything engages just fine and there is no slipping that I can notice. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated Thanks!

Hi all. I'm obviously new to the forums, and relatively new to the Skyline scene as well. Im residing in the Okinawa area and I am the proud owner of a 96 Black R33 GTS. Found out not long after I bought the car that it was an SOHC RB20E. Needless to say I set about rectifying the issue by finding a replacement engine. I didnt realize all the work that was going to be neccessary for this swap until after I did some research on this website and talked to some other guys in my shop. Everything is up and running now (it started on the first try! ) and I am extremely pleased with the car thus far. If anyone needs advice related to this sort of work I'd be more than willing to help with what I have gleaned in my project! Pics soon to come!
