Ok ill check them out this arvo, i cant understand how the turbo could be stuffed, it still feels as if it is running fine, just blowing smoke.

Hi all, Just noticed a problem my r33 gtst, running 12psi, front mount, exhaust, turbosmart bov, is blowing a shit load of white smoke when im into it. It looks really bright white like tyre smoke and it keeps coming out for a bit after you give it a bit.. Any ideas guys, i have searched but cant find a straight answer. Thanks

Thanks for the replies, I put the new turbosmart bov on and its all running sweet just a bit of fuel dumpage when changing gears but it sounds full sik with the back fire and the flutter, assmad bro. Cant believe the bitching over a bov, theres a lot of little girly keyboard warriors on this site, quite amusing

Hi everyone, I recently bought a turbosmart bov, so yesterday getting ready to install it I removed the stock bov plumb back pipes and blocked the holes in the remaining piping, so that my stock bov would vent to atmosphere. The car now almost stalls when it idles blows lots of smoke and backfires when trying to drive. If I floor it, the car takes off fine and the only way to make it idle is continually rev it. When i checked under the bonnet I noticed if i put my hand over the bov hole the car idles properly.. Any help would be awesome, is it just the stock bov trying to vent to atmosphere thats causing this and will it fix itself when I install the turbosmart bov? Thanks

i've had a problem with 1 headlight which kept turning off randomly and if you got out and gave it a bump it would stay go on and stay on for a while. The other day both headlights went off and now won't go back on at all? any ideas? thanks

ok, today i got my yellow jacket coils and put them in, I also got a front mount and made sure everything was tightened up tight. It still breaks down???? Ive noticed it will run good when not warmed right up, or on long highway drives in cold night, So temperture is definetely causing it. What else couldd it possibly be, i checked the plugs and they looked fine but could they possibly look alright but be the problem? I cant understand why a stock r33 with new coils and front mount can stuff up like this? Anyone got any other ideas?

OK. yesterday I took the coils out and taped them up and the car ran great, revving to redline with only minor hesitation, for about 5 minutes until it started playing up again. Now it runs like crap and when i went to start it last night it wouldnt even idle properly for about 30 seconds then would only rev to about 3000 - 3500 rpm. 5 out of 6 coil packs had something rattling around inside them when i shook them? is that normal? Should I fork out the $400 for JJR coil packs or is there an alternative?

mines completely stock at the moment, but it runs perfect until it hit 4000rpm. Ill try the coil packs tommorow and check em out. Can anybody show me what the air flow meter is? I have no idea, this is my first import and only just learning. thanks

Yeah the car really jolts around its quite harsh, I have had it rev to over 6000 rpm a few times in one drive where it ran fine. The car doesnt blow much smoke at all, and a few people have told me it could be a faulty pipe or something, Thanks for the feedback it is very helpful

hi all, new to the forum just bought an r33 last week. It has a problem where it doesnt want to run over 4000rpm. As soon as it hits it the car stutters and jumps around with the revs bouncing and just wont rev any more. Any ideas? cheers Tom
