  1. So Nikitaj, do any of the others going to the formal need a ride on the day, that way some of the other guys that have offered the use of their cars here would still be able to be part of the day?

  2. Spotted a black GTR (R35) driving along side me this afternoon around 4.45pm heading north on Adelaide Ave from Woden. He passed me and gave me a wave, naturally I waved back. Awesome looking piece of sheet metal, just beautiful.....one day !!

  3. Spotted a VL with a Chev badge on the back backfiring like a shotgun (scared the crap out of me) and spraying a big shot of black shit out the exhaust.... straight at me. Thanks knobhead.

Damn Chev badged Common-dores. Don't those dumb asses know their car is a GM product and not a Chev product !! Chevrolet is a GM PRODUCT - just as is Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick etc. The exported Monaro was even badged as a Pontiac in the good ol US of A, so if you really wanna put a US badge on your "Commondore" then it should be a Pontiac badge not a Chev badge - dumb asses !!

However it is still a HOLDEN no matter how you wrap it he he.

There finally got that off my chest........

Oh BTW, spotted a tidy looking Silver R33 GTR on Wednesday near Lanyon shops. I was in the black R34 GTT which you let in front of you, thanks dude! action-smiley-069.gif

  4. Hi all,

I was just looking at this thread on the Vic SAU forums http://www.skylinesa...pan-earthquake/ where they are suggesting a charity cruise/event to raise money for the Japanese earthquake. There is suggestion that this be a National run event that should take place in each Australian State on the same day (if possible).

Seeing as though we all cherish our Japanese vehicles so much I have to agree with our Victorian brothers that this would be an excellent idea.

I have never really had much to do with organising an event for charity and don't really know where to start to make this happen, so I agree (as suggested in the Vic forum) that each SAU State Chapter Committee membership should seriously consider trying to make this event as huge as possible with possible participation by as many Japanese car clubs across the country as can be contacted.

Just thought I would throw this out to the ACT forum as food for thought in the hope that exposure of this idea could spark the hearts of all SAU members across the country and fellow visitors to these forums and contribute to a worthy cause.

Just an idea that could become a reality

    Cheers,

    mick

  6. Thanks :) Mick,

The Cayman ran up the back of a Commie which went up the back of a Suzuki which went into the back of Matt's R33 GT-R.

It looks like minor cosmetic damage only. Reo/bever panel will need replacement as well as the bar. So not too much.

Matt will probably be offloading the GT-R soon, as he's buying my R34 GT-R. I'm committing myself to a Bayside Blue VS2.

Nissans are under my skin a bit more than Matt, as he's still quite keen on Beemers too.

What comments (criticisms as well as compliments) did your boys have about the 21st? Different hairstyles back in the early 90s eh?

The new toy sounds very nice Terry, and Matt is a lucky bugger to be getting his hands on your R34 GT-R (I am jealous).

The boys were very impressed how the R32s were untouchable at Bathurst in 91 and 92.

They had a great time at the 21st being around all those JDM Skylines, and very much enjoyed the cruise and want to do another soon. Ben is putting awide body kit on the Silvia, so will look quite different shortly. They (boys) are trying to convince me to sell the GTT and move up to a R34 GT-R (not much convincing required there I'll tell ya)....soon....soon.

  7. Yeah....NOOOOO!!

    Uuggly !!

When I was a kid they used to deliver small milk bottles to us in Primary school with silver foil bottle caps on the bottles that looked just like those wheels.

    :)

They are quite possibly the worst rims I have ever seen. Ever.
