  1. Hi, I'm looking at selling or trading my '97 rs4 stagea, 130,000kms. Looking for around 10k or swap for another import. It's a s2 rb25, GTR driveline Awd automatic.Since I've owned the stagea I've added the following:

    - tein coilovers all around

    - 3in exhaust in stainless with split dump, main muffler and resonator

    - r34 neo op6 turbo with stainless intake

    - Shift kit installed, filter and oil changed also with Castrol Transmax oil

    - return flow intercooler

    - boost gauge, turbo timer

    - catch can

    - yellow jacket coilpacks

    - piggyback computer tuned by fuel tech tuned on 98 with 14psi boost

    - aeromotive stealth fuel pump hard wired via relay

    Car has full leather interior in near perfect condition, original stagea floor mats all around, 20x9 Koya wheels with good rubber, body is in very good condition. Rego runs out April next year. Engine oil and filter have been changed, front and rear diff oils, fuel filter and other maintenance items. Stereo consists of a clarion touch screen, fusion speakers front and rear and fusion sub and amp in boot.

    Car is located in Launceston, Tasmania but willing to travel for buyer or swap.

  2. Yeah I've been contemplating if I should convert to manual or just shift kit the auto... Yeah I've seen your stag at uni a few times, sweet looking bus :) thanks for willing to lend a hand mate :)

    Still got some stuff laying about I don't need anymore.. - stagea/r33 front bilsteins with apexi springs $50 - stock rear shocks and springs suit stagea. $10 - r33/34/stagea factory elbow and downpipe $50 - home made bozos, 3 into twin 2.5in $30.   6. I'm running a r32 split dump on my s1,no clearance issues at all, don't reckon it would be any diff to yours mate :) not sure about a 34 dump though... I know they need a slight bend on them just after it straightens out to fit...

  7. easiest way would it be too jack the car up and check for play in your joints. Worn cv's usually click on full lock... To stop transfer through the cvs disconnect front driveshaft and take out the fuse... Otherwsie if you cant get it on a hoist you could jack the car up supported by 4 jackstands and drive it AT LOW speed while turning the steering wheel... No easy way to put the S1 into diagnostic mode...

  8. 10psi is prob all you will be able to run before the car will fuel cut and start to retard the timing. More if you get it retuned... run about 9-10 depending on when your fuel cut will kick in.

  9. Does it do do it when the brakes are cold too? Brake discs, especially the front can get heat spots in the rotors that are un-machineable. Other than that i would be checking my wheels bolts and front hub nuts mate :thumbsup:

  10. the ratio shold be the same but you will need new axles coz the non lsd ones run 6 bolt and the vlsd ones run same as a skyline which is a 5 bolt axle... Apart from that they should fit right up :thumbsup:

  11. What i can gather is that its for a 25DE but the exhaust should still be the same layout as the turbo ones. All you might need is a new exhaust gasket as they usually fall apart... the fujitsubo ones usually come with the muffler welded unto the system so you might have to cut and weld some flanges unto the system...

  12. thats actually ok i guess, im slowly putting the stock wheels back on (will hopefully make roadworthy a bit easier)

    looks like someone has been at my springs tho, passenger side is only just captive at full droop and springs measure 12.2mm diam. and i counted 9 coils

    drivers side measures at 12.4mm and 11 coils :(

    looks like im on a search for my old, dead shocks (left in a shed somewhere on campus)

    i got some aswell if you dont find yours mate :thumbsup: Oh and i will have a look at work for some 235/45's, should have a few lying around
