  1. I just went to autobarn and asked for BCPR6ES and the guy asked what car for. I told him 96 Skyline RB25DET and he cross referenced them with the platinum plug that the book tells you to get. He said I should be using the BPR5ES-11 and I asked him for the BCPR6ES and he just talked to me like I was retarded asking why would you wanna do that. Then told me i'm going to ruin my car and that they wont work. Anyways I bought the BCPR6ES and will be putting them in the car in 30 mins. His just got me wondering if I should of got the BCPR5ES now lol.

  2. Hey I have a set of logitech x-540's for sale.

Used for 1 day then found out I need something with optical input to work with my tv and ps3 :P So I got the z-5500d to replace them.

Looks like msy and centrecom have brought in the new models so i'll let these go for $50 and drop off if local. Paid $99 from centrecom not sure what rrp is now.

Not really a problem but they make a very quiet humm sound when connected to powerpoint (can only be heard if your trying to sleep and there in the same room :P). My z-5500's also make the same noise so I switch the powerpoint off when not in use. I looked it up and its a common logitech speakers problem.

  3. I'll be going down to supercheap tomorrow morning. I havnt checked the book yet but NGK website says PFR5G-11 are the standard plug for the RB25DET. From a search it doesnt look like anyones using them. Just been reading alot of other threads saying coppers a better conductor giving better sparks and iridiums just have a load of complaints against them. So I guess i'll be getting the BCPR6ES or should I get something else. Stock car, with turbo back going on soon. Should we leave the gap at 1.1?

    Edit-

Just realised BCPR6ES is 0.8 :P I'll see how it goes tomorrow

  4. At the moment i'm getting my dads friend whos a mechanic to change them for the first time. I'll watch aswell so I can change them myself next time. So paying $100 for iridiums I dont mind even if I'll be changing them later on if I end up modding the car in a few months.

For the moment I think the full exhaust is all i'll do for now. Then looking at highflowing, fuel pump, ecu tune and all other supporting mods needed but i'm looking at doing that mid next year if i do decide to so thats about 20k km away.

But apart from that i'm still having second thoughts on the iridiums. Should I ask the mechanic to put them in normal or .8?

  5. I'll be getting my spark plugs changed tomorrow. Now after reading a few threads about spark plugs it seems alot of people are having problems after changing plugs missfiring etc. Most threads each persons using a different plug also.

Now for the RB25DET I was looking at the recomended BKR5EIX-11,s But then read that iridiums fail quite often before there meant to, making them not worth the extra money. Even if they go bad around 25k km i'll be happy to change them at that interval compared to 5-10k km coppers.

My cars completely stock but i'll be putting a turbo back exhaust on soon but dontt think this would bring it too far from stock performance to have to choose different plugs, Just wondering if theres any better suggestions against using these plugs before I go buy them. Also who has them and how long have they lasted you so far?

  6. I think i'ts too late now, if you caught the inspector at the time you could of explained the chalk to him and hope he'll help you out which I doubt he would coz ticket inspectors are gay.

  7. I used to use straps a few years ago for most back excercises, It did help alot when going for heavier weight. But also put alot more stress on my wrist joints which has made me stop using them. Also with gloves I just get the cheap Harbinger ones off bodybuilding.com when I order my supps $10 a pair for the gloves. They do tear down the side of your hand quite easily. Usually just get a new pair every year.

As for mixed and clean grip I always stick to clean now. Came way to close to tearing bicep with the mixed grip.

  8. Yeah I'm using the control but changed acceleration to R2 for throttle control. I'ts a pretty intense 13 seconds lol. I was going to buy a wheel for this game but after maxing the mods on the Veyron and R35 the games just way to easy and not that fun anymore. I'll probably get a Driving force GT if I keep playing, is anyone using this wheel here? Or should I get the G25/G27?

  9. Yeah that Road to Rome cup with the Lamborghini was way to dark, could hardly see anything. I just turned on the guide line on that one and made it home for gold. I'm having trouble with the Intermediate nascar challenges on the outside lane. So hard to get gold, I think i've had at least 100 attempts.

  10. Stage 1/2/3 mods are pretty boring, Was really hoping for a real parts performance shop. I agree it does just feel like any other GT game but with improved graphics. The racing is still very fun though, the used car shops annoying because you have to check back all the time untill they have a car you want for sale in there. Also money is way to easy to get. 4000+ per race means you get a new decent car every 8 or so races making you not appreciate your new car at all.

Has anyone tried the top gear track special event in the VW van? Most annoying challenge ever.

Go karts are good for a change though.

  11. Damn 20 mins. Was hoping i'd be able to play it before getting some sleep for work lol. Yeah I skipped through the video and it just looked like any racing game. He hit another car and it didnt spin out or even skid it just swayed a tiny bit and kept driving normally. At least now my expectations are way down so when I play it itll seem good :P

  12. I heard Harvey norman had it for presale for $77 on the radio. So I went there and saw signs saying Pre Order for $88. I told the guy I just heard $77 on the radio and he said ok, then he spent about 10 minutes trying to find it in the computer.

I was looking at his screen as he typed GT5 into search. GT5 Prologue came up and he said that's $44, I told him wrong game and he kept searching. Next he found GTA4 and I told him wrong game again. Eventually he found GT5 and clicked on the GT5 CE edition and asked for $138. Then I told him I just want the normal version (which was sitting right above the CE edition on his screen, He retyped GT5 into the comptuer and started searching through the massive list again. I saw before that they had 166 copies in stock and just told him dont worry i'll just buy it on the day.

Also checked dick smiths Which was $89 to preorder, the guy said just order it online for $79 + free delivery but I looked up there online service and found a forum thread full of complaints.

Cant wait for the release though :)

  13. Not sure on how your offers are going at 38k, but if you really wanted to keep it just keep it at $38000 and let your missus see the add and let it stay on carsales forever. If she gets angry lower it $1000 to keep her happy :) and repeat the $500-1000 drops untill she agrees that its too hard to sell for a good price.

I wish my dad had a skyline when I was in school, Instead I got picked up in an old piece of crap 1989 tarago with him playing loud horse racing from sports 92.7AM :)

Not too bad. You could of saved yourself around $300 if you built it yourself though :). They gave you a kinda cheap case and psu, but apart from that the other parts are good. :)

Bo0oSt, not sure if you have already made the system but I have 2 similar systems, one running 965BE, M4a89GTDpro gtx260 (216core) 8gb Ripjaws ddr3 1333 ram and the other a 955BE,M3n-h/hdmi, 5770, 4gb 1066 Hyper x Ram ddr2. I also only play SC2 at 1080p and they both handle ultra settings with 4v4 online all teams fighting with or close to max units no problem at all. The system you mentioned is about as good as your gonna get for $900 mark.

My gtx260 wouldnt run off my old crappy 450w Shaw psu that came with my old case. So I put in an overkill 850w Thermaltake Toughpower and that does the job :)

You could pick up a Thermaltake v9 case for around $97 at MSY which comes with a 450W thermaltake psu which will power a 5770 and 955 + ram easily. It also has a 230mm top fan and front and back 120mm fans so cooling is good to.

This will bring the price down to about $770 (i think?) If you go the 5770 and v9 case. I havnt checked how the newer cards perform. But you could take a quick look at the 1G 460 vs 5850 if you still wanted to spend $240 on a graphics card. Just make sure you check power consumption, im not sure how much these cards require to run.
