Hi team. I own a 2013 Skyline Crossover 370GT (J50). When I lock the car, the mirrors typically fold in, but they’ve suddenly stopped doing that. It’s happened before after a service and I took it back to them and it miraculously started working again afterwards - so it’s a setting somewhere.
I’ve researched on this site and others, and I can confidently say that there is no button under the steering column for this, and the button on the door cluster is to manually fold them only. It’s not a mirror failure, as the manual folding works.
Any idea?

Hi. I can't offer you any joy but say that the bluetooth phone connection has always been dodgy with my iPhone 7 in my 2013 Skyline Cross-over. Further, the music tags reported on the console screen never displayed correctly either. Only way I could get everything working properly was to directly attach the phone via a USB cable - then all good.
But I don't know if your 2007 V36 offers a USB port. My 2015 coupe didn't.

Mine is insured with the NRMA. It's on paper as an Infiniti FX37 (yes, I know it's really the Infiniti EX37) because their system doesn't list the Skyline Cross-over and the FX37 is available in Australia so it Is listed. I'm covered with a file comment setting it straight though.
But I suspect that the NRMA was willing to do that because i'm a mature-age driver and have had all of my previous Skylines (HR32, HR33 and V35) insured with them.

Hi Dave. I think Win4ever mentioned he had the issue too. I don't get those warnings in mine (I've a 2013 model), so I've got to assume there is an option in the navigation menu to disable proximity warnings such as that. Not much help I know.
Otherwise, the car is the Infiniti EX37 in the U.S. You could try downloading that car manual for your year and see if that's mentioned. Available numerous locations if you Google.

Yeah, I moved my V35 coupe on to buy a Cross-over. I got tired of having a boot only big enough to fit a bunch of bananas... The Cross-over is really a V37 Skyline station wagon - it's the smaller Infiniti EX37 vs the larger FX 37. I like it but it isn't a coupe, and I can't do a round-about as fast as I could previously. It's feet aren't as stable. Still, It's a much more practical car if you want to stay in the Nissan stable.
I'm not aware of any performance mods for it, and I'd be cautious about fitting anything for a 370Z, as the body is different (as therefore so would be the mounting points).

Typical friendly and do anything for you when buying it but after sales service was crap. Took a mouth after we picked it up to get the English conversion done and which was meant to take 2 days ended up taking a week.

Does the 370z air filter intake kit fit the cross over ?

Hi. Sorry - haven't been checking this forum for a while.
I agree that the customer once a deal is done is no longer a priority with them. Otherwise, I only dealt with Alex and his off-sider, Liam. Sounds like it's good I never met his brother.
Re 370Z air intake kit: which? If you're talking after-market straight-through pipe with pod or similar, I can't say. If you're talking genuine Nissan filters using the standard intake fitting, you just need to ensure they're suitable for the J50 engine.

OK. Air filters a part in common with other Nissans, so not an issue. New cabin filter is a must if you haven't already swapped it out (Japan is very smoggy in parts).
I had issues with Nagoya for my 2013 model. I hope they were better for your's.

Hey Loh. My 2013 has had the menues converted to English, so I'll have a look over the weekend at what screens to navigate to to do some of the things above and report back.
Otherwise:
1. What do you want to do with the steering remote? Pause the music? I'll check, but I think you do that by pushing the paddle switch in (which otherwise is 'select').
2. My lane departure only works when it suits itself. Otherwise, there's buttons in the bottom of dash below right of steering wheel to turn it on or off. I'm suspecting that my problem is due to my auto elec snipping the wrong black wire when disabling my after-market immobiliser (required to pass Aust rego). Decided to rely on the factory one, as the after-market one effectively made the proximity key a key fob only.
3. I believe so, yes. I think it's an option on the nav sceen menu. I'll have a look.
4. Mine is just the Contimobilitykit too. I'm advised that's what the european cars are moving to also. I'm wondering what I'll do it I get a slashed tire out in the country...
5. Yes. I play music from my iPhone via the USB in the console box. I prefer to do it this way as the music plays louder (than via Bluetooth), and the nav screen shows the file tags correctly and consistently. When I play music via Bluetooth, the display of tags is hit-and-miss, and when it does display song details it'll stop displaying when the next track starts.

I'm insured with NRMA and I get a free windscreen with my policy each year, so money wasn't a concern. They contacted Windscreens O'Brien, who contacted the local NIssan dealer. Yes, they had to import from Japan too and quoted 'up to 3 months', but it was here in 3 weeks.
The thing to be careful about though is matching the sun filter at top with the lane change camera - the gap in the filter needs to be in the right place so as not to block the camera's view of the road. I say this, because I'm unsure whether the US Infiniti will have the camera on the same side...

I insured my old V35 with the NRMA (I'm in NSW/ACT). They also provide one windscreen replacement per year as an option (which is definitely worth it). My cross-over is now insured with them too. I don't think the issue is the car most times - it could be age of the driver.

Hi Dylan. Nagoya Motors in Caringbah is selling the Crossover, and they convert the menues and satnav over as part of the sale, Also place english stickers over the jap buttons on the console. [edit: I see you already found that out]
I bought my Crossover from them, but they buggered me up over a compliance issue (see my initial thread).
And, yep, the Crossover is the Infiniti EX37/35 and Neil states. But if you want roof racks, try to find one with them already on because they are very expensive to buy as a genuine part.

Hi team. I suspect the radar comment related to the radar matching speed with the car in front when on cruise control. Yeah, that pisses me off too if I suddenly find myself behind a slow car. But just steering into the overtaking lane changes that - the car kicks back up to full speed again once it doesn't detect the car anymore. Which, yes, on cruise control is a max of 110Klm - dammit!
I've only had my Crossover for 10 months now, but have had no mechanical issues. But then it only has 25,000 Klms on the clock...
And Loh, I think it was you I sent a copy of the Japanese navigation DVD for the V35 over to a number of years ago. Am I right?

Heeeey, my daughter said my 2013 looks like a Soccer Mum's car, but I like it. The comments prior relate to gravelled roads. On sealed road a different matter, although I can't power through circles like I could in my Skyline V35 coupe. My view is that the quality of fit and the rear room is worth it for me. Sure, I miss my coupe, but I picked up a new lawn mower in a box a few months ago, and loaded it in next to 25 IKEA parts boxes. Umm, my previous coupe could manage a bunch of bananas in the boot and not much more...
As they say, horses for courses. ;-)

but i have reset my ecu so at the moment the car is running ok. Is there a way to go into diagnostic mode again and try to find which one is the problem?
Not that I'm aware of. I wouldn't have thought that an ECU reset would have resolved it if a sensor has completely faulted, btw. But if it does do into limp mode, keep your revs down and don't drive it hard home. Oh, and the genuine part from a Nissan dealer was $100-150 I seem to recall (I had to do one sorted ~5 years ago).

Hi. One of the two cam angle sensors has failed. To confirm, and to find out which one, this is how you get the code - but then you probably already know because you said you reset the ECU:
- Turn ignition to ON (dont start engine).
- Wait 3 seconds
- Then over the next 5 seconds, push the accelerator all the way to the floor and then release it fully - do this 5 times quickly within these 5 seconds.
- Then wait a further 7 seconds.
- Now push the accelerator all the way to the floor again and hold it for 10 seconds until the MIL starts flashing.
- When you see it start to flash after 10 seconds, release the accelerator straight away
- The light should then keep blinking - giving you the fault codes. It will flash up 4 codes, pausing between each. It will blink slowly for the first group, then fast for the next 3 groups. 10 flashes in a group = '0'. ie. code 0123 would be 10 flashes, pause, 1 flash, pause, 2 flashes, pause, 3 flashes, long pause, repeat...
- Turn the ignition to OFF when you're done - this will exit the diagnostic mode.

0011 is the Bank 1 sensor, 0021 is the Bank 2 sensor.

Just a Heads Up for those people considering a Skyline Cross-over. I notice that Nagoya Motors have a couple of new ones on the lot now. The compliance for those would be based on the compliance error which caught me out on my car's re-registration - their first ( the SUTI car).
Trust me in that they will do the minimum for you, if that. So if you Must buy from them, insist that THEY install the middle restraint on the rear seat Before you commit a down payment. Don't believe their insistance that it isn't required. Take a risk-based approach i.e. if I'm right, you're saved some money later...

The question, of course, is what is it communicating with? Is there an obvious device with an antenna sitting inside the car?
If it is actually for the car, a guess is that it's a remote starter i.e. something to start the car remotely to warm up if it's sitting outside in the japanese snow.
But if your car has been oz-complied, there'd be an after-market (another? why?) immobiliser installed into the car. This would foobar such a device working anyway.
Again, just a guess. I'm sus about the pink button...

Hmmm... Perhaps yours is different. For mine there are definitely TWO auto modes. "D" and "DS"... Here's a photo... From top it's standard Auto mode (D), then Sports Auto (DS) when I flick the stick to the right, and then manual first gear (1M) when I push it forward once.
Thanks Neil and Tony. Yes - I missed that, and the photos helped me to see what I'm looking for. I was used to the gear shift in my coupe. Flicking the stick over would drop it down a gear and place it into full manual. I'll play with DS and D over the coming days to see the difference.
Oh, and no paddle shifters on the model I have.
Otherwise, I needed to transport some large boxes from interstate on Sunday, and just slid them into the back of the Crossover and I was away. I really miss the coupe, but...

I’ve had a few of my previous Skylines at Tuggeranong Auto Electrics over the years, but the problem with any business is that staff come and go.
Just don’t take it to Nissan in Phillip. They’ll screw you blind with an import.
