  1. OP's asking for a good bolt on turbo for his R32, by reading this thread there are whole lot of unrelated information that I'm confused.

The photo shopped result contain a mixed batch of E85 results, pump results, externally gated results, internally gated results, cam moded, plus results of a NA+T Rb25.

Filtering out all the unrelated. Take unopened Rb20det engine on pump fuel. I'm seeing hypergear's atr43ss has the best curve which made the most power on based boost level given. Turbo is direct bolt on that required little/none modifications, that will be the turbo I will be voting for.

  2. @89CAL: From following hypergear's thread, I remember you've got one of their testing ball bearing ss2. I have the same turbo internally gated. Obviously not as responsive as the 2835 but pulled 312rwkws on 98 fuel, 20psi by 3800RPMs. Its more of a 3076 in .82 turbo. They have made an vnt housing for it, unfortunately only for external gate. Buy that housing and it will pulling 24psi on 3500rpms and that will be about the same or better to a HKS2835 ProS while making heaps more power.

  3. Best to upgrade induction and exhaust first then play with the EBC as the end result will vary.

I'm posting up an promotion on our new ATR43SS-2 internally gated bolton turbochargers so more people can enjoy our latest development. The Retail price on this item is currently $1450, you can have own them now for $999 including braided oil feeding line. The Special offer is for 20 units only. That is currently the best performing RB25det bolton turbocharger.

Great pricing Stao, very tempted. I'm currently using one of your 3 years old G3 high flow making 285rwkws on pump, can more power can be made with SS2?

  4. that sounds aright! i must look into these DIY videos, worth a watch i think.

have looked at walbro pumps too, forgot to mention. what benefits/disadvantages would i get from going to even bigger injectors?

i thought 550cc would be enough no?

The worst part was installing that cooler kit, which whole had to be cut and front bar had to be modified. Rest was pretty straight forward. You can buy no whole cooler kits nowadays. might make the job easier.

550cc is ok for 98 fuel, get ID1000 If you are looking to run on E85.

  5. $5G is pretty alright. Below is what I've spent with my R34, I did all the work my self.

    Split fire coil packs: $650

    650cc Jecs injectors: $500

    Walbro fuel pump: $210

Adaptronic plug in ecu and hypergear bolton turbo bundle: $2400

    GKteck cooler kit: $400

    Total: $4160

Dyno tune was $650 on top. Car made 285rwkws on 20psi.

P.s: about $100 worth of silicon hoses and a pod for a 3inch hard intake pipe.

  6. ^^

Yes the ATR46 is some thing for that application.

Stock cams are back. Big thanks to: boostn0199 whom have donated a stock exhaust cam while mine broke. So factory cams are back in and working sweet.

Today's dyno run was trailing the newer version of ATR43SS4 Alpha turbocharger, not as huge as the previous one which I would like to call that the ATR43SS-5. I sort of like the power while it made based on the ATR45 (3540 equivalent) how ever couldn't get much drive ability out of it due to the lag. So this one is made to mach the HP as the ATR45 how ever with much better response, down low torque and on road drive ability.

    turbofront.jpg

So The final figure was 435rwkws @ 25.5psi and peeked 709Mn of torque. This is not at the maximum capability of this turbocharger how ever probably is for my current con-rods.

:woot: waoo 435rwkws with 200rwkws by 4000RPMs out of a Rb25det. Pretty crazy if you guys high flow a turbo to do this I high mount it.
